On a July evening at 7 o'clock, it was still light.
In front of an unnamed tombstone on Greeneath Mountain.
Isabella Anderson, dressed in black casual attire, stood in front of the tombstone. Her exquisite face seemed to be carefully carved with a cold look in her eyes. "Mom, tomorrow is the ten-year anniversary. I listened to you and restrained myself for ten years. Tomorrow, I will return to the Anderson family."
There was silence all around, and the only response she received was the sound of the wind.
"Boom!"
A loud noise made Isabella turn her head. Her charming eyes narrowed slightly as she looked back in that direction.
There was a black car parked there, tilted due to a flat tire.
A man got out of the car, wearing black sportswear, staggering forward as if injured.
Soon, more than a dozen men followed him, all dressed in black.
Theodore Wellington looked back with a cold look on his stern face. He held his abdomen with one hand, his lips turning pale.
"Stop running. We've paid such a high price. You can't escape." The black-clad men approached Theodore, with the leader emitting a murderous aura, his face devoid of any expression.
"Just you guys?" Theodore narrowed his eyes, his voice cold.
The pain in his abdomen invaded his mind, and he felt his lifeblood flowing out of his body. He probably wouldn't be able to hold on for much longer.
"Then let's see." The leader of the black-clad men suddenly attacked Theodore.
"Uh?"
Just then, a stone hit one of the black-clad men. He felt a shock in his hand and fell to the ground.
The black-clad man's face changed drastically, and he growled, "Who?"
Isabella replied in a flat voice, "You guys disturbed my mother's rest. Please go elsewhere to fight."
All the men stared at Isabella, their expressions serious.
Even Theodore had a hint of surprise in his sinister eyes.
The people in front of him were all international killers, each capable of fighting ten opponents alone, but one of them was knocked down by a stone thrown by a teenage girl.
This girl was not ordinary!
"You asked for it!" The leader's gaze turned cold, and he ordered in a low voice, "Kill!"
The others immediately rushed forward.
Isabella's eyes narrowed coldly.
"Be careful!" Theodore had already moved when the black-clad men charged towards Isabella.
In an instant, Theodore abruptly stopped in his tracks, and a hint of disbelief appeared in his eyes.
Those killers didn't even have a chance to attack before they fell in front of Isabella.
And she stood there calmly without even blinking.
If it weren't for her hands in the air, Theodore would have thought he was hallucinating.
"Get lost!" Isabella raised her chin slightly, her voice cold.
The black-clad men looked at her with fear. "Who are you? What have you done to us?"
They still didn't know what had happened.
Isabella had just lifted her hands and threw some powder at them when they fell down.
They didn't even touch a single strand of her hair.
Before Isabella could answer, all the black-clad men passed out.
Isabella glanced at them calmly and then looked up at Theodore not far away.
Theodore's heart trembled. Isabella's clear eyes were like a bright moon.
Theodore composed himself and walked over, his voice gentle, "Thank you."
Isabella glanced at him indifferently, "I didn't intend to save you!"
She just didn't want to be disturbed while talking to her mother.
After saying that, Isabella turned around and patted the tombstone, "I'm leaving. Take care."
As she turned to leave, Theodore stopped her, "May I know your name? I want to repay you in the future."
"I didn't intend to save you." Isabella waved her hand and continued walking.
"Wait... Boom!" Theodore fell to the ground before he could even finish his sentence.
Isabella frowned and then continued walking.
But unexpectedly, a gust of wind blew around her. Isabella stopped in her tracks and looked at the unnamed tombstone. "Do you want me to save him?" She was answered only by silence. Isabella paused for a moment and said reluctantly, "Fine!"
Isabella crouched down and lifted Theodore's clothes. She had noticed that he had suffered a severe injury to his abdomen.
But it wasn't serious.
She took out a small vial from her bag, sprinkled the powder on his wound, and then took out another vial from which she fed Theodore a pill.
If Theodore were awake, he would be able to recognize that the pill was the Healing Pill that was sought after in the black market, with a single pill trading for five million dollars.
After feeding Theodore the pill, Isabella didn't stay any longer and turned to leave.
At the Anderson's House in Philborin.
"As long as I'm alive, Isabella will never be accepted by the Anderson family!" An angry voice echoed throughout the mansion.
In the living room, Isabella raised her eyes slightly and looked at her furious grandmother, Lauren Anderson. Underneath her beautiful eyes, there was a calm look.
In a hidden angle where no one could see, a smirk appeared at the corner of her mouth.
After Isabella was brought back by her father, George Anderson, Lauren received the news and asked them to come to the Anderson's House.
As soon as they entered, Lauren made her stance clear: she didn't agree with Isabella's return.
"Mom! Isabella is my daughter and your granddaughter."
George clenched his hands tightly and gritted his teeth, restraining himself.
After ten years of searching, he had finally found Isabella. He was overjoyed, but he never expected that Lauren would refuse to let Isabella come back, and in front of the entire family, she even insulted Isabella.
"She doesn't deserve it! I will never accept her!" Lauren slammed the table, her voice filled with anger. "Susan is my only granddaughter."
Lauren turned and looked at Isabella with her murky yet sharp eyes.
Isabella raised her eyes and met Lauren's gaze for a moment before looking away.
She allowed Lauren to stare at her.
George suddenly raised his head. "Since I found Isabella, I won't let her leave again. Besides, we have already split apart. It's none of your concern!"
"Don't you dare!" Lauren stood up abruptly, yelling, "If you bring her back, I will remove you from your position and take back your shares!"
George sneered, "Position? Shares? Mom, I'm just a small supervisor in the company now, earning a monthly salary of four thousand dollars. I want to leave the company, but you don't want me to. As for the shares... didn't you already take them all back?"
"You!" Lauren gritted her teeth, "Are you deliberately going against me?"
She couldn't believe that her weak and incompetent son would defy her for Isabella.
She knew that Isabella and her deceased mother were the sources of trouble, specifically here to disrupt their relationship.
George was about to speak when Susan Anderson, his adopted daughter who had remained silent for a long time, suddenly spoke up, "Grandma, please agree to let Isabella come back."
"Humph!" Lauren's expression softened a lot when she looked at Susan, but she still coldly snorted, "I will never let Isabella come back!"
"But... Isabella is Mr. Wellington's fiancée!" Susan blinked with a smile on her lips.

There was a silence in the room.
"What are you saying? Isn't Theodore's fiancée..." Lauren abruptly stood up. "Oh, right! The one engaged to the Wellington family is Isabella. Now that she has returned, you don't have to marry Theodore."
It was well known that Theodore Wellington, the seventh son of the Wellington family, was an idle loser who neglected his responsibilities and was a complete waste of space.
But his grandfather, Harry Wellington, doted on him, especially after Theodore saved him and became disabled two years ago.
And Theodore had become more and more reckless, squandering Harry's money everywhere.
However, the Wellington family suddenly sent someone and said that the daughter of the Anderson family had been engaged to them and they wanted the Anderson family to fulfill the engagement.
Wasn't the daughter of the Anderson family Susan?
Lauren was worried. Although the Anderson family and the Wellington family were not on the same level, she had raised Susan for so long and wanted her to marry someone even more outstanding who could lead the Anderson family to greater heights.
Although Theodore was favored, he had no real power, and the money in his hands was given by his parents and Harry.
Once the money ran out, he would rely on Susan.
Naturally, Lauren was unwilling, but since there was an engagement between the Wellington family and the Anderson family, they couldn't break it off easily. So she had been trying to find a way to cancel the engagement.
Now that Isabella had returned, there was no need to cancel the engagement, as Isabella was just a country girl, a perfect match for Theodore. Besides, the Anderson family would become related to the Wellington family.
With this in mind, Lauren immediately said, "I agree to let Isabella come back. You should teach her manners. One month later, she will be engaged to Theodore. She mustn't embarrass me at the engagement ceremony."
George and Ruby were startled and looked at Lauren in disbelief.
They still hadn't recovered from what Susan had said earlier.
Soon, George raised his head suddenly. "What engagement ceremony? Isn't it Susan who is engaged to Theodore?"
"Isabella is the daughter of the Anderson family, and it is she who is engaged to the Wellington family. Now that she has returned, she naturally has to fulfill the engagement."
George's wife, Ruby Brown, frowned and then looked at Isabella with concern.
It was clear that Lauren had some ulterior motives.
No wonder she agreed to let Isabella return. She was so mean.
Everyone knew that Theodore was disabled.
Ruby didn't want Susan to marry Theodore before, but now Lauren wanted Isabella to marry him.
"I object!" George growled, his face gloomy. "It's Susan who is engaged to Mr. Wellington."
"Dad, it's not that I don't want to marry Theodore. It's just that Isabella is the daughter of the Anderson family. If I marry Theodore, and the Wellington family finds out later, they will blame us for deceiving them..." Susan's words were ambiguous, and a calculating glint flashed through her lowered eyes.
"Yes!" Lauren immediately nodded. "We can't afford to offend the Wellington family."
"You!" George's face turned red with anger.
But Lauren ignored him and looked at Isabella, "If you want to return to the Anderson family, you must get engaged to Theodore."
Isabella raised her head and met Lauren's gaze. There was a faint gleam in her clear and charming eyes.
After a moment, she lightly opened her red lips and spoke in a mellow voice, "Okay!"
She had to return to the Anderson family!
As for the engagement... Isabella's lips curled up into a faint smile. This time, when she returned to the Anderson family, she would take the opportunity to break off her engagement with Theodore.
After leaving the Anderson's House, Isabella followed George and Ruby back to their own home.
Eight years ago, George was driven out of the Anderson's House by Lauren. Now they lived at Fenronius Garden, a remote neighborhood far from the city center.
It was a bit old, and the walls were peeling, probably due to its age.
They lived in a small three-bedroom apartment.
Isabella told George and went to her bedroom.
She had just arrived home today, and her luggage had not been unpacked yet.
As soon as she entered the bedroom, there was a knock on the door.
She got up and opened the door. George and Ruby looked hesitant.
"Mr. Anderson, is there something you need?" Isabella stepped aside to let George in.
"There is something I want to discuss with you." George pressed his lips, not knowing how to start.
"What is it?" Isabella handed a chair to George and stood by his side.
"I want to break off the engagement for you."
Isabella raised her eyebrows in surprise.
Ruby walked over, held Isabella's hand, and sat on the bed, explaining softly, "You see, your father thinks that marriage is a lifetime commitment. Theodore is disabled. If you marry him, you will have to take care of him for the rest of your life. He wants you to find someone with a good character, someone who will truly love and protect you for a lifetime..."
Ruby paused for a moment and continued, "But this engagement was arranged by your mother after all, so we still need to ask for your opinion."
Although she had not been in contact with Isabella before, she felt sympathy for her.
Theodore was not a worthy husband.
Even though the Wellington family had money and power, what was the use?
It would be a pitfall. If Isabell jumped into it, her life would be ruined.
Isabella looked at Ruby, and a faint smile appeared on her cool face. "Yes, I was planning to end the engagement."
Ruby was George's second wife and Isabella's stepmother.
After a short interaction with her, Isabella found her kind.
She could tell that George and Ruby genuinely cared for her.
"That's good!" George stood up excitedly. "I will immediately contact the Wellington family to cancel the engagement."
On Greeneath Mountain.
Three figures stood in front of an unnamed tombstone deep in the mountains and forest.
The man on the left wore trendy clothes and had an earring. He turned his head to the man beside him and said, "Theodore, it's been two days. I guess the girl won't be coming. Let's go."
"Just wait." The man in the middle squinted at the unnamed tombstone in front of him, a light shimmered behind his eyes.
He wore casual black clothing and his messy hair covered half of his eyes. His exquisite and handsome face carried a touch of sternness.
He was the one saved by Isabella, the seventh son of the Wellington family.
Theodore Wellington!
And the one who spoke first was Elliott Kingsley, the third son of the Kingsley family in Trincetta.
"Come on. If we keep waiting, you'll miss the engagement with Ms. Anderson." Elliott touched his earlobe and chuckled, "Ms. Anderson is known as the most talented girl in Philborin. You have been engaged since childhood. Your grandfather has repeatedly urged that the engagement ceremony must not have any mishaps."
Theodore's lips curled up into a faint smile. "Hasn't the Anderson family broken off the engagement yet?"
"The Wellington family is the top family in Trincetta. How dare the Anderson family break off the engagement? Even if you are disabled, the Anderson family won't break it off! Not to mention that you are able-bodied!"
If the Anderson family found out that Theodore was not a disabled loser, they would never break off the engagement!
"Oh." Theodore's eyes dimmed.
They didn't break off the engagement!
Then it wouldn't be as fun!
Seeing him like this, Elliott knew he had wasted his breath.
He changed the subject, "Since we can't see your savior, let's go back. When we find my senior sister, we can save Melissa as well."
Theodore gave Elliott a meaningful look. "Your senior sister? Are you sure she exists?"
Elliott was left speechless.
After a while, he finally mustered his breath and said angrily, "Of course! My senior sister is a kind-hearted beauty, especially skilled in medicine. She can bring the dead back to life..."
Before he finished speaking, Xavier Moore, the man standing to the right of Theodore, interrupted, "Mr. Kingsley, you don't know her name, what she looks like, and even the way to your sect. Are you sure she's not just a figment of your imagination? It would be better to wait for the Galactic Alliance to contact Phantom, the amazing doctor."
She could bring the dead back to life?
Even those professors from the medical research institute dared not make such a boast.
Elliott shouted, "Nonsense! My senior sister is definitely real! Besides, Phantom is elusive with strange quirks. He only treats patients when he feels like it. We've been searching for him for so long, but there's been no news. Who knows if he's even accepting patients?
"Maybe his medical skills are not as good as my senior sister's!"
Xavier was ignorant!
He was shortsighted!
Elliott's senior sister never mentioned her name back at the sect, and her appearance must have changed drastically in the past ten years.
But Elliott believed that once he saw her, he would recognize her.
"Okay, okay, she's real." Xavier didn't want to argue with Elliott anymore because Elliott had an almost pathological obsession with his senior sister.
Theodore glanced at the two of them, bowed to the unnamed tombstone, and then turned around. "Let's go."
"Mr. Wellington, where are we going?" Xavier asked.
Theodore's lips curled up. "To Philborin, to make my fiancée break off the engagement!"
