"Make sure that there aren't any rogues lurking around my territory, understand?" the alpha of the Blood Stone Pack ordered his beta.
"Yes, alpha." The beta went out of the room, leaving the alpha alone in his office.
He sighed and took out a cigarette to calm his anger. As he inhaled the nicotine, he smirked, and then dropped his cigarette and squashed it tightly on the ground.
His father taught him to be strong without love, and he was thankful that he could be a powerful alpha. On the other hand, his mother, the retired Luna, was the kindest woman. She loved her kids and her mate, and she would do anything for them. The Luna was hesitant about her son being the alpha. She knew that her mate was going to teach him the painful way, but she also felt proud that he would become the strongest alpha in America at the young age of twenty.
Blaze’s phone rang, so he picked it up and answered it.
"Blaze, when will you come home?" a sweet voice said through his phone.
"Later, Mother," Blaze said in his gruff and deep voice. His allure made women fall in love with him with one glance of his piercing green eyes that he inherited from his mother, while he got his father’s cold, demanding features.
"Honey, you have to come home, you know," she said. She had been worried that her son wasn't feeling well, but her mate assured her that he was just dealing with rogue problems.
"Fine, I will come as soon as I'm finished. I promise, Mom," Blaze said and smiled. His mother and sister were the only women who held a piece of his heart.
"Thank you, honey. Come home quickly,” she said, hanging up the phone. Blaze put his phone on the table and watched his pack warriors training from afar. He felt pride for his pack.
His ancestors made this pack and passed it down for generations. Now it was time for Blaze to handle it. He did make a reputation for himself and his pack, which was: if you fuck with one of my pack members, then you fuck with the whole pack.
At such a young age, he managed to earn a lot of respect from alphas in America every time he went to one of the alpha meetings. His demanding aura overflowed through the packs. When he wanted something, he got it with hard work. He was not like those snobby rich people, even though his family was also rich. But he hated bragging about his richness, so he decided to keep it a secret from everyone except for his family, beta, delta, gamma, and his future mate, whom he hadn’t found yet.
He wanted his mate in his arms right now. At the age of 4, his mother explained to him and his sibling the reason for having a mate and why we should keep them. Hearing the story of the Goddess made him hope that he would find his mate earlier than his friends.
At the age of 18, you could find your mate and smell them directly. That's why they created gatherings just to find our soulmates, but alphas can detect their mates at the age of 15 due to their special abilities. But unfortunately for Blaze, he had not found his mate, but he was willing to hope a little longer. He didn't choose the Luna of the pack because he wanted his true mate to be his Luna, and she would protect the pack as a mother figure and stay beside her alpha mate.
Once he found his mate, he swore to himself he would never let her go or give her up to another man because he was a jealous and selfish man.

"Mia, come here for a minute, please?" her dad yelled from downstairs.
"Sure, Daddy," Mia answered back and stopped working on her medical homework to go downstairs.
As soon as she was downstairs, she saw her alpha. The alpha’s name was Nathan, and he was a young man who took over the pack after his dad died while protecting his pack. Nathan was old enough to take over, but they did not celebrate his title because they were still grieving their old alpha. Mia loved her old alpha. He was kind and helpful.
"Alpha Nathan." She bowed and he nodded. He was 20 years old with a mate. He found his mate, Destiny, last year, and now they were excepting a pup.
"I ordered you guys for a meeting because it's now time for Hayden to take over the beta role," the alpha said, loud and clear.
"Of course, Alpha Nathan, my son is ready to take over my place," her dad replied as he smiled proudly. He had trained his older son, Hayden, for his future job as beta.
"Great. I'm excepting great results from him. Have a good evening," the alpha said and left their house with a bow as a sign of respect. As the alpha closed the door, Mia looked at her dad.
"Where is he?" she asked curiously, but he shrugged it off.
"Maybe he's training or dealing with pack business," her dad responded, and she sighed.
"Oh, well, then I have to finish my homework,” she said and then went back upstairs. Her dad was also a kind-hearted person with humor even though his mate passed away. Mia’s mother died from protecting the pack like the old alpha. She was a warrior but then became a female beta. Mia cried when her mom died from rogue attacks. She was only 6, and Hayden and Nathan were 8. Her father didn't give up and continued to take care of the kids without their mother.
She finished her homework and then checked the notifications on her phone. There were twenty messages from her best friend, Lydia. She called her friend, and she answered.
"Hey, boo," Lydia said through the phone. It sounded like she was at a party. Lydia was a wild live wire. She loved partying with her friends.
"Lydia, what's up?" Mia sighed.
"Girl, you've been working on that stupid work for hours. Come have fun with us?" Lydia suggested. She hated that her best friend was using all her energy on schoolwork when she could live her life right now. They had graduated, and it was time to spend their time at parties.
"I don't know, Lydia. Now is not the time."
"Please do it for me?" she begged her. After a moment of thinking, Mia decided to go to the party to supervise her friend because she was drunk and there could be a danger at any moment.
"Fine, where is it?" she replied and grabbed a jumper. She didn’t care about her outfit. Mia’s only thoughts were about keeping her friend out of danger.
"Scott's house." Mia hung up her phone and went downstairs without forgetting to warn her dad.
"Daddy, I'm going to a party!" Mia yelled to her dad.
"Okay, but please come home after you're done partying!" She loved her dad. He gave Mia lots of liberties because she was mature enough to take responsibility for her own actions.
She took her car and drove to Scott's house. As soon as she arrived at the location, she parked her car got out.
She gasped in fear. The house was full of hormonal teenagers. There were mates and couples who were kissing and basically having sex with their clothes on.
"It's disgusting,” she muttered to herself and entered the house. The living room was worse. All the furniture had been destroyed or flipped upside down. The music was blaring through the house. The sober people were standing to one side, judging everyone. Her face cringed in disgust, and she avoided tight spaces as soon as she stepped into the house.
She felt someone tap her shoulder. She turned around to see the person and let out a sigh of relief.
"Noah,” she said, and he smiled.
"What are you doing here, lovely?" Noah asked her. He was a childhood friend of Mia’s and had recently taken his role as a delta in her pack.
"Lydia."
Noah sighed and nodded in comprehension. They both know how crazy Lydia could be.
"Mia!" Lydia slurred and stumbled her way to Mia and Noah. An unfamiliar guy helped her out.
"Lydia, what did you do?" Mia said to her drunk friend. Lydia didn't answer and hugged Mia tightly as if she didn't want to let go.
"I'm sorry. My mate knew who you were, and she wanted to hug you," the unfamiliar guy said to them.
"What? You're Lydia’s mate?" Mia asked, and he grinned.
"Yes, I am. My name is Zach, and I'm the beta of the Blood Stone Pack." He offered his hand, but Mia couldn't move her hand. She was basically stuck to the ground.
The Blood Stone was the largest and most powerful pack in America. If she told her dad that she met the beta of the Blood Stone Pack, her dad would faint. They were always hard to communicate with because their alpha was the worst. Rumor said that the alpha was 20 and a freaking model. His body was carved by God, and he was probably the sexiest person in America.
"Sorry about her. She's a fan of your pack," Noah said and shook Mia’s shoulders to wake her up but got no response.
"Well, I'm only the beta. If I was the alpha, she might faint…" The beta scratched his neck nervously.
"Ah yes, Beta Zach, maybe," Noah replied and put his arm on Mia's shoulder.
"Please don't call me beta. Just call by my name. I have just one question," Zach said to Mia, who finally came back to reality.
"Yes, Zach."
"Are you two mates?" Zach asked. Mia and Noah shook their heads. She felt Noah take his arm off her shoulder, and she sighed loudly.
"Oh no, we're not." She giggled nervously, and then she was hit with a delicious, strong smell. She sniffed again and the smell hit her again.
"Oh, my alpha is here. You guys should meet him. I know that it's very complicated to meet him," Zach said, dragging Lydia, who was half asleep. Mia stopped in her tracks, and Noah looked at her, confused.
"What's wrong?"
"I don't know. I can feel my mate somewhere,” she replied and sniffed again, but it was impossible to sniff him out since there were a lot of smelly teenagers.
"Well, maybe he's here. Come on, let's meet the alpha, and then I will help you find your mate. I'm so excited to meet him," Noah gushed.
She followed Zach and Noah into a room that had about 20 people. Her mate’s smell was even stronger in the room.
"Mate is here," Fiona, Mia’s wolf, said.
"Are you sure?" Mia asked, unsure of herself.
She didn't want a mate right now. She was too busy with her work. Plus, being the only female in her house took a lot of hard work.
"Mate is a highly ranked wolf," Fiona replied.
"Fuck, maybe it's an alpha. I'm not ready to be a Luna," Mia thought as she followed Zach. They entered a room with fewer people, and she felt the smell close to her. It was a strong mint mixed with grass.
"Alpha Blaze, let me present to you my mate, Lydia, and her friends, Mia and Noah," Zach said while bowing his head. The alpha was seated in a chair surrounded by different girls.
Mia and Noah bowed their head. Noah kept his eyes on the ground, but Mia made a mistake by glancing at the alpha.
"Mate,” she whispered, grabbing everyone's attention.
Alpha Blaze stood up from his chair with all his glory and gazed at his mate. Mia’s brown eyes stared into his deep green eyes.
"We found our mate!" Fiona yelped.
