(Lyra’s POV).
It was cold.
My skin burned where the ropes dug into me. The rain fell in silence, just like the way they left me—without a word, without even turning back.
The downpour soaked my trembling body, numbing me to everything except the weight of my own breath.
My body shook violently, my knees sinking deeper into the wet mud beneath the twisted roots of an old oak tree.
The rope around my ankles tightened, slick with dirt, and every small movement of my muscles triggered a sharp jolt of pain in my legs.
I deserved this… didn’t I?
That’s what they always told me.
I brought shame to the family because of my title.
“She’s a cursed Omega since birth,” Sonja’s voice echoed in my head, sweet as syrup with hidden poison beneath it.
I could still see her grin—devilish and unfeeling. She didn’t pity me.
She was Luna now. Perfect. Worshiped. Loved. Unlike me.
Then I remembered my father’s growl, louder than the rain in my memory.
“You’re weak, Lyra. You embarrassed me in front of the pack. A daughter without a wolf, without a mate? What purpose do you serve here other than to die?”
“I never asked to be born like this…” My voice had cracked—small and broken—standing in the middle of the pack, where every eye stared at me with silent ridicule.
“Silence,” he growled. His steel-grey eyes, once warm—the same eyes that belonged to the father who used to hold me after nightmares—were now empty. Gone.
He’d become as cold as stone ever since Maria, my stepmother, poisoned his mind.
And there she was, with a soft, triumphant smile curling on her lips.
“She taints our legacy,” Maria had whispered. “If you keep her here, my husband, you endanger your authority. Your reputation. She is nothing but a stain.”
Sonja’s lips curved as she strutted closer that day, her sharp nails brushing a wet strand of hair from my cheek.
“Poor little Lyra… maybe Joan and his men should teach you a lesson.”
Joan was her mate. His friends always circled around him like vultures, grinning and laughing every time I passed the courtyard.
The memory of his crooked smile still twisted my stomach.
“Don’t worry,” Sonja had whispered. “You’ll be gone soon.”
And I was.
Cast out to the outskirts with only wet rags clinging to my freezing skin and ropes binding my limbs.
Banished. Rejected. Expelled from the pack simply because I had no wolf inside me—no mate.
A cruel impossibility for someone like me.
Now, under this old tree, with rain tearing into my skin and cold seeping into my bones, the truth sank in.
They wanted me dead.
The sound of snapping branches pulled me back to the present. My head jerked up, panic piercing my chest.
I saw them.
Silhouettes moving between the dark trunks—broad shoulders, tall bodies, flashes of yellow eyes in the shadows.
Terror immediately gripped me.
Joan’s friends.
No!
“Got you,” one of them sneered, stepping in front of me.
His wet hair was slicked back against his skull, a cruel grin splitting his face.
“Sonja said you’d be here.”
Another circled behind me. I instinctively crawled backward, my breath ragged, but the rope held me.
Pain stabbed sharply at my wrists.
“Look who we have here,” Joan’s closest friend drawled, crouching in front of me with a widening grin. “Hey, Omega whore—thought you could run?”
“Don’t…” I whispered. My heart pounded wildly. “Please… don’t…”
“Relax, little Lyra,” he growled, grabbing my chin roughly, his fingers pressing into my cheek. “We’re just here to show you how worthless you really are.”
I turned my face away, but another hand grabbed my hair, yanking my head back until my throat was exposed to the grey sky.
“No! Please!”
My scream ripped from my chest, raw and desperate—but the rain swallowed it.
I struggled, but they outnumbered me.
Their fingers tore at the thin fabric of my dress, claws scraped my skin, and the sting of humiliation burned more than their cruel words.
Tears blurred my vision. This was the end. I wasn’t going to survive.
Then everything went silent.
A deep growl vibrated through the air—a sound so low and commanding it felt like it cracked the ground beneath us.
The men froze.
From the shadows between the trees, he emerged. Towering. Dominant.
His steps were slow, deliberate.
Rain ran down the broad line of his shoulders as his silver eyes pierced the darkness—locking onto mine.
My breath caught in my throat.
He smelled of pine, cold air, and raw power. His presence swallowed the entire clearing.
“What the hell…” one of Joan’s friends muttered, stepping back.
The man’s eyes swept over me, lingering on the torn fabric, the ropes, the bruises already visible on my arms.
His jaw clenched, sharp and dangerous—as if he hadn’t expected to find me like this.
“She’s just a child.”
“She’s an omega.”
“No bond scent—she’s not mine.”
The silver-eyed man spoke, his voice calm and deep, laced with quiet menace.
My lips parted, my breath still uneven. My throat burned with held-back sobs. And my heart—my heart ached.
“Help me…”
The words escaped, cracked and broken.
Hope, fragile and desperate, surged in my chest.
“Please… someone… take me away from this hell.”
His eyes narrowed, calculating.
He stepped closer, his boots sinking into the wet earth, the storm casting shadows across his sharp face.
Slowly, he reached out his hand to me.
I flinched, but something in his expression stopped me—something in the way his lips curved into a dark smile.
Not cruel like the others, but something else.
“You belong to me now,” he said. His hand remained open, steady.
“You will live—as my daughter.”
I held my breath.
The men had vanished, swallowed by the shadows, leaving only me and this towering figure before me—whoever he was.
My fingers twitched against the rope.
Then the darkness swallowed me, and I collapsed into unconsciousness.

(Lyra’s POV).
"Wake up, little girl. You're safe now."
The voice was soft and deep, yet full of authority. Hardly anyone had ever spoken to me so gently before.
Slowly, my eyelids fluttered before finally opening.
My vision was still blurry, my head felt heavy as if it had been struck by a boulder.
The faint scent of cinnamon and sandalwood filled my nose—strange, yet comforting.
I was lying on a canopy bed, wrapped in clean linen sheets. Thick maroon velvet curtains draped the tall windows.
The walls were adorned with wooden carvings and classical paintings.
This luxurious … Where was I?
I let out a soft groan and tried to sit up. My chest burned, and the old wounds on my body throbbed like they were on fire.
My breath was ragged. My fingers trembled as I reached for my temple.
“Easy. You're still weak,” the man said again.
I slowly turned my head. A tall man stood beside the bed.
He had broad shoulders, clad in a simple black shirt. His dark brown hair was neatly slicked back.
His jawline was sharp, and his piercing silver-grey eyes stared intently. His face was calm but unreadable.
It was him. The man who had saved me in the forest.
“Y-you—” My lips were dry and cracked; I could feel the peeling skin.
He gave a faint smile. “I’m Rowan. Alpha of the Ashgrave Pack.”
My cheeks paled. My heart pounded loudly. Rowan? The Alpha King?
The one even Omegas trembled at the mere mention of?
The one who said to love peace, the owner of Moonlight Academy, the elite school for noble werewolves?
I swallowed hard. I knew who he was. This was beyond anything I had imagined.
I had never thought anyone would rescue me.
“I found you in the forest. Your injuries were severe. I brought you here to heal.”
My eyes welled up. My throat tightened. I looked down, remembering everything.
The scent of blood, the rough hands, the endless ridicule and slaps.
I had been betrayed, violated, and left to die.
My own blood had never seen me as family, but he did.
The Alpha King, who found me, treated me with such kindness, so gently—like I mattered.
I took a deep, trembling breath.
“They… they almost killed me. I… I have no one left—” I couldn’t go on. My shoulders shook violently as memories came flooding back.
They were the worst kind—deep-rooted trauma that refused to fade.
Rowan sat at the edge of the bed. His gaze softened. His warm fingers gently touched the back of my hand.
"What is your name, little girl?"
"Lyra..." I answered shyly.
He smiled.
“From today on, you'll live here, Lyra. As my daughter.”
I froze.
“W-what?” My eyes widened, my lips parted in disbelief. “Daughter? You… you want to adopt me?”
He nodded. “I don’t have a daughter. And I think it’s time I had one.”
“But—” I stared at him, confused and suspicious. “Why me? You don’t even know me. I’m… I’m just a weak, pitiful Omega, Alpha King.
I’m not worthy of being your daughter. I’ll only bring you shame one day,” I said quietly, my last words barely audible.
Rowan smiled warmly, the corners of his eyes crinkling slightly.
“Lyra, everyone starts from a place of weakness and uncertainty before they find their strength.
You just haven’t discovered who you truly are yet.”
I fell silent. There was something in his eyes that held me there.
Sincerity… or was it something deeper?
A soft knock broke the silence.
The wooden door opened, and a man in a black suit stepped in. I assumed he was Rowan’s personal aide. Perhaps his right-hand man?
His silver-blond hair was neatly combed, his posture upright, and his gaze sharp like a hawk’s. He bowed respectfully to Rowan.
“Alpha, your guests have arrived. They are waiting in the main hall.”
Rowan stood up. “Thank you, Sebastian.” Then he turned to me.
“Get some rest. I’ll return, and we’ll continue our conversation later.”
I gave a small nod. Rowan walked out with Sebastian, leaving me alone.
My heart was still racing. I gripped the edge of the blanket, my mind spinning.
Why would someone like the Alpha King want to adopt someone like me—an Omega?
What made me special to him?
He couldn’t have done it just because he wanted a daughter, could he?
I was lost in thought when soft footsteps echoed at the doorway.
My brows furrowed. I turned my head—and my breath caught in my throat.
A man stood in the doorway. Tall, broad-shouldered, and radiating an icy aura so intense that the air itself felt heavy.
His jet-black hair was neatly cut short, and his eyes were pitch-black and piercing. His expression was blank—almost emotionless. He stared at me without blinking.
Before I could ask who he was, two more men appeared behind him.
The first one smirked. His golden-brown hair was slightly tousled, and his teal-blue eyes sparkled with mischief.
He walked casually, as if he had not a care in the world.
The third man moved gracefully. His soft, wavy brown hair and hazel eyes gave him a calm, gentle look.
He smiled warmly, yet there was a sharpness behind that serenity.
They were all Alphas? How was that possible?
They weren’t just any Alphas. Their presence dominated the room, making me feel incredibly small before them.
The man with teal eyes approached first. His lips curled into a sly grin.
“So, this is our little princess, huh?” he said playfully, his teasing tone making my cheeks flush.
I swallowed nervously. “Who… who are you?” I asked in a whisper.
The third man smiled gently.
“Little Rabbit,” he whispered.
The first Alpha—the cold one—remained silent. His eyes pierced through me with unsettling intensity.
My heartbeat grew louder and faster. There was something strange… something I couldn’t explain.
Suddenly, a warm vibration pulsed in my chest.
A delicate but powerful connection spread beneath my skin.
I gasped softly, staring at each of them in turn. No… this couldn’t be.
I felt it.
A bond I had never felt with anyone.
One I thought I would never have.
But now, looking at the three of them… I saw a future with them.
There was no doubt.
They… they were all my mates.
This was impossible.
