Chapter 1: Breeder | Deadly Return: My Ex Wife Wants To Ruin Me

"What is the meaning of this?" Sarah thundered angrily at her husband while showing him the document she was holding.

"What does that look like? he asked her with a wicked smirk while caressing the face of the newborn baby that was sleeping peacefully on his lap.

Sarah, unable to comprehend what was going on, kept staring at him, waiting for an explanation.

They just returned from the hospital some hours ago after she successfully gave birth to the first fruit of her womb, after their return, she decided to sleep a little due to how tired she was. Upon waking up, she saw some documents beside her on the bed. Without hesitating, she took the document to check what it was. She was surprised to see that it was a divorce paper already signed by her husband, and her baby, who was sleeping in the baby layer, wasn't in the room anymore.

With her heart pounding heavily, she ran to the sitting room only to see her baby sleeping peacefully on her husband's laps. At least that was a relief to her, but now the main issue right now was the divorce paper she found beside her.

"Well, it seems like you can't read anymore, but I will be glad to help you. What you are holding is a divorce paper, and as you can see, I have already signed my own part. I hope you have signed yours?" Her husband asked her with an inquisitive look.

'This must be some kind of joke,' she muttered to herself.

"Look, Xavier, if this is a joke, please stop it. I'm not in the mood for jokes right now, and can I have my baby back?" She asked him while approaching him, but immediately two of his guards blocked her.

"Do I look like someone who is joking?" He asked her, his smiling facial expression replaced with an angry one.

"You of all people are supposed to know how much I hate joking Sarah Jones," he said to her, then called her by her complete name, which he only did when he was serious.

This time around, Sarah didn't need a fortune teller before knowing that he wasn't joking about the divorce.

"Can I know why you are asking for a divorce?" Sarah asked him while biting her lips in order to suppress her anger.

"I'm divorcing because I have already gotten what I want, which is the baby, and I don't see any reason to keep you here pretending every day that I'm in love with you," he said to her without any emotion.

Sarah just couldn't believe her eyes; it was as if a bucket of water was poured on her, wakening her from a deep slumber. The man who she has loved with all her heart and had given up everything for him is now looking her into her eyes and telling her that for the three years that they have been together, he has been pretending to be in love with her. To her, all this was just a dream, and all she wanted to do was wake up from it.

"This is a joke, right?" She asked her husband while restraining the tears that were already forming in her eyes.

"Since you think that this is a joke, why don't you allow me to show that it's not?" he said to her with an irritated tone.

"Go in and get all her belongings out," he commanded one of his guards, who nodded before walking past her and heading towards their room.

"Now, do you think I'm still joking?" He asked her while peering into her eyeballs.

Once he asked his guard to get all her belongings out, it dawned on Sarah that he was damn serious, the tears she was restraining were now streaming down her cheeks freely as she kept on looking at the man who she have loved with all her heart, but what she couldn't still understand was why he waited for her to give birth before requesting for a divorce, they have been married for over three years and after their marriage, she informed him that she wasn't ready to have babies yet, at first he opposed the decision but never talked about divorcing her, if he had waited for over three years for her to give birth before requesting for a divorce that only means the baby was important to him but the reason why he wanted the baby was something she still didn't know and she didn't care, one thing was sure, she wasn't going to leave without her baby.

"Well, if the divorce is what you want, no problem, but I'm leaving with my baby," she said to him while wiping away the tears on her face, but he scoffed at her mockingly.

"I'm sorry to say this; that's not happening; you are only leaving with your belongings and nothing else," he said to her with a serious tone.

Do you think that it's for nothing that I waited for you to give birth before requesting the divorce? Do you think that it's for nothing that I wasted three precious years with you tolerating your nonsense, doing everything to please you, and all this while leaving behind the woman who I had loved?" He asked with a wicked smirk before shaking his head in disbelief.

"Well, allow me to tell you this: all I wanted was a breeder who would bear me a son so that my late father's properties would be transferred to me. I don't know why the old man requested for me to get married and have a son before taking full control over his properties and companies, and to be sincere, I don't care. I have gotten what I want, which is the baby, and as for a wife, I already had one for a very long time ago, only that she was barren and couldn't give birth," he said to her with a wicked smirk.

"As he said all these things to Sarah, she couldn't restrain herself from shedding tears anymore; she could still remember three years ago when everyone kept on warning her not to get married to Xavier, but she was too in love to listen to anyone, paying deaf ears to everyone she went on and married him, and now she's about to suffer the consequences. No matter how broken she was, she still knew that she was in the twenty-first century, not in the early eighties, and she could easily file charges against Xavier, accusing him of kidnapping her baby, and without adding any effort, she would get her baby back.

"I must admit that I have been a fool all these years, but I don't remember having any agreement with you in which I accepted to become your breeder," she said to him.

"Really?" She asked him before bursting into a round of laughter. With the way he was laughing, one could think that what Sarah said was funny or that she was insane and didn't know what she was saying.

"Here, I was thinking that you were wise, but I didn't know that you weren't. True to your words, you were a fool, becauae if you weren't, you could have read everything written on the marriage certificate before signing it," he said before bursting into another round of manic laughter.

"Catch," he said to her before throwing a document at her, and immediately she caught it.

"This is the sample of our marriage certificate; go on and read it," he said to her, and without hesitating, she started reading in a low tone. After reading it for some minutes, she finally saw the part where it was written that the marriage was only temporary and that her only mission was to bear a son before Mr. Xavier Quim, and once she does that, they must get divorced, and everyone goes their different ways, but the child remains with Mr. Xavier Quim.

After reading it, she didn't realize when the document fell from her hand. Looking at Xavier, who was still grinning ear to ear, her vision started becoming blurry, and at the same time, her two legs weakened immediately. Without realizing it, she lost balance and was about to collapse when someone caught her from behind.

Despite her weak state, she could still recognize the cologne of the person who caught her from behind; it was that of Claudia, her best friend.

"Hey Sarah, are you okay?" Claudia's familiar voice sounded from behind as she helped her up.

"Yes, and what are you doing here?" She stuttered, knowing that she hadn't invited her over and that she didn't want her to witness what was going on.

Without answering her question, Claudia walked towards Xavier, bent her head, and kissed him passionately before turning her gaze towards Sarah, who was staring in shock.

"I came to see my husband," Claudia said to her with a smirk.

Chapter 2: Betrayal | Deadly Return: My Ex Wife Wants To Ruin Me

Looking at Claudia, Sarah couldn't believe her ears; everything was like a movie before her. First, it was Xavier, her husband, revealing to her that he never loved her, that for the past three years they had been together, he had only been pretending to love her while patiently waiting for her to reach the terms of an agreement that she wasn't even aware of, and now Claudia, her best friend, is revealing to her that she was the wife of her husband, probably the wife that Xavier said he had married for a very long time ago, but she was barren.

Actually, Sarah had met Claudia three years ago on the day of her wedding to Xavier. Xavier had presented Claudia to her as a business partner, and some weeks after the wedding, they still met again in Belize City, where Xavier had taken her for the honeymoon. According to her, she had come to Belize City for a business deal. After discussing it with her for a while, they exchanged phone numbers, and that was how their friendship began. Only if she had known that Claudia wasn't who she thought she was, but how could she have known when Claudia was very good at acting? She was the one who encouraged her to bear a son for Xavier before he started showing interest in other ladies; if not, she was planning to become a mother after five years of marriage; after all, she was only twenty when she got married to Xavier, only if she had known that Claudia and Xavier were only using her as a breeder.

"Babe, why is she looking at me like that? Don't tell me that you didn't inform her about the agreement." Claudia asked Xavier while feigning not to be aware of the trick they had both played on Sarah.

"Of course, everything was stated on the marriage certificate; she was too in love with me not to realize it," Xavier said to Claudia before looking at Sarah, who was still sobbing silently. Despite the tears rolling down her cheeks, the rage and anger burning inside her could clearly be seen.

"Hope she has signed the divorce papers," Claudia asked Xavier.

"Not yet; I had to remind her of the agreement she signed; now that she has remembered it, I think she's going to sign it," Xavier said to Claudia.

"Boss, I'm done packing her belongings," the guard whom Xavier had sent to pack Sarah's belongings said to Xavier after dragging Sarah's belongings down.

"So tell me, are you signing the divorce papers or not?" Xavier asked Sarah, but she remained silent while staring at him and Claudia, hot tears still streaming down her cheeks.

"But, babe, is it necessary for her to sign the divorce papers? I thought the marriage was fake." Claudia asked Xavier, and immediately he nodded like someone who just remembered something important.

"Ooh, I almost forgot, the marriage was never real; it was a fake marriage. The only thing that was real was the agreement, which was in the form of a marriage certificate," Xavier said to her before bursting into a round of laughter, including Claudia.

"Well, you can take your leave now, Sarah Jones; there is nothing to sign anymore," Xavier said to Sarah with a wicked smirk.

"Joe, please help her with the luggage," Xavier said to one of his guards, who nodded in agreement before dragging the luggage outside, leaving Sarah behind.

"What are you still waiting for, or do you want me to ask my men to throw you out?" Xavier asked Sarah after the guard left with the luggage, but instead of replying, Sarah only used her clothes and dried her tears.

"Come on, Xavier, don't be rude; how can you send her away without giving her anything? She bore you a son for crying out loud," Claudia said to Xavier while pretending to be annoyed with him.

"Well, she's neither deaf nor dumb; if she wanted me to pay her, she could have said it, after all, we never made mention of that in the agreement," Xavier said to Claudia before taking the check note on the table and writing on it.

"Here you go. This is a check for five million dollars. I think that will do. If it's not enough, let me know so that I can increase it," Xavier said to Sarah while handing her the check. With that, Sarah smiled before approaching him and collecting the check.

"I think that will do," she said to him after collecting the check, but just in a twinkle of an eye, her smiling facial expression was replaced with an angry glare. Raising the check-up, she tore it into pieces before throwing it at Xavier and Claudia.

"Don't think this is over yet; I'm coming back soon, and when I do, the both of you are going to regret messing with me; you both ruined three years of my life just because of mere property. Mark my words, Xavier Quim, I will make sure you lose all those properties the same way you earned them.

I have only one request to make: take care of my son. Maybe those five million you wanted to use to buy him from me can be spent on him, but mark my words, my return will be deadly," she said to the both of them before taking a close look at her son, who was lying on Xavier's lap.

With that, she smiled at herself before walking out of the house.

Once she came out, she saw her luggage outside. With that, she dragged the luggage to the roadside and flagged down a taxi. Once it stopped, the driver came out and helped her put the luggage inside the car.

As the car was moving, the only thing she could think about was how her uncle was going to react when he saw her. It's been three years since she saw him or spoke with him, and since he was against her marriage with Xavier, she decided to keep her distance from him after the marriage, but now, just like a prodigal son, she's going back to the same house she had run away from in order to be with Xavier.

After a thirty-minute drive, the taxi driver stopped in front of her uncle's mansion. Without hesitating, the driver came down and helped her bring her luggage out; with that, he entered his car and zoomed off.

"Sighing heavily, she dragged her luggage and started heading towards the entrance of the mansion. Once she reached the gate, it opened by itself, meaning that her uncle had already seen her.

As she reached the door leading into the house and was about to knock, her uncle's voice sounded from inside, motioning for her to come inside.

Sighing heavily once again in order to calm her heart that was pounding heavily, she held the knuckle of the door and turned it down. With that, the door burst open, giving her access to the huge sitting room, and at the same time, her uncle, who was sitting on one of the huge couches, had his black glasses covering his eyes as usual.

"And who do we have here? It seems like the prodigal daughter has finally found her way back home. So tell me, did he finally hurt you just as I had predicted?" He asked her, a mockery smirk hovering over his face.
