It was a busy night in California when Serena Olive Clarkson finished shooting as a celebrity actress for some television. Serena chose to go home immediately to meet her superstar boyfriend, Henry Smith, at his house.

Just as she arrived at Henry's house and was about to open the door, it was locked from the inside. She was confused because Henry didn't usually lock the door when she wasn't home yet.

She then started calling Henry repeatedly, but none of her calls were picked up.

"Huft … "

Suddenly there was a heavy moan from inside the house that she heard with her own ears from outside. She tried to confirm by putting her ear to the door of her boyfriend's house to hear more.

"Tell me, Henry ... who's better in bed? No lies," a woman asked from inside.

Serena's eyes widened when she heard the voice of a woman she recognized, who was none other than her friend, Lily Young.

"She's inside? What the hell is she doing here?!" Serena asked herself with a hiss.

Her lips parted in shock and she covered them with her hands. Tears began to build up in her eyes, ready to fall with one blink.

Henry laughed after hearing that question. "Lily, you shouldn't ask that, you know my answer."

"I need to know from your lips, handsome," teased Lily.

"I have to admit, Serena is the best compared to you, Lily," Henry replied. "But don't get me wrong, you're more talented at seducing me than she is," he added. “You’re hot as fuck.”

Serena's heart was pounding as she listened to the conversation that hurt her so much. She didn't even move from there but listened to more of their conversation until she realized that her heart was hurt more than anything else.

"Well, you're very easy to seduce, huh?" teased Lily. "Just so you know, I've often tried to seduce some of Serena's friend's boyfriends," Lily said boastfully, intending to make Henry lust after her.

"Damn, you just make me want to do it again with you."

Right at that moment Serena tried to calm herself down and did not want to act rashly. She who heard everything outside immediately recorded the audio of what her boyfriend did with her friend.

With a calm but torn heart, Serena heard clearly how the two humans she now hated were having sex inside and betraying her.

"Bastard!" she hissed, cursing Henry. "Bitch!" and now she cursed at Lily, her friend who would never be her friend again.

After recording the audio, Serena sent the recording to Henry and left a message that they were breaking up at that very moment, and Serena immediately blocked Henry's number to end it all.

She got out of there and drove away from the area of Henry's house until she finally pulled the car over and contemplated alone inside with a messy feeling.

"But why ... Why did you do this to me?" she asked herself as she began to cry.

After the betrayal by Henry and her friend, Serena felt physically and mentally drained. If she didn't break it off immediately, she would still be stuck in a toxic relationship, but in the end, she managed to escape from a relationship that shouldn't continue.

Remembering everything, made her feel even more suffocated.

She regretted it very much because before all of this happened, she and Henry were already preparing for their upcoming wedding. But she did not expect that the man she loved would destroy, thwart, and betray everything in one moment. Moreover, she did not expect that Henry would sleep with Lily, her own friend.

As she stayed in the car for a while, her cell phone rang. She sighed because she forgot to block Henry's other number so that he could call her and even texted her a lot that he felt very guilty and apologized, not to mention wanting to explain everything.

Serena knew that by now Henry had already received a voice recording of him and Lily having sex. She ignored it and chose to deactivate her phone so that she would no longer receive any notifications from the man who was now her ex-boyfriend.

The next morning Serena immediately contacted the party that had prepared her wedding with Henry.

"Cancel everything! Henry and I are not getting married!" she said into the phone and ended the call on the other end.

Serena let out a long sigh. After canceling the wedding she had prepared, she now had to talk to her family about it.

"I have something to tell you," Serena said as her family was about to have breakfast together.

They seemed to be listening by staring at her while she was tongue-tied to tell them, even though she had to tell them everything right away.

"The man I've been with is not a good man for my future," Serena began. "Last night he had sex with Lily, a woman you know well, who is my friend, but she's a real bitch!"

The look in her eyes was intense and her voice sounded cold as she told them. "So I decided to cancel my wedding with him. The wedding will never happen with him in the future!"

Serena breathed in and out slowly. Her family looked so shocked that they barely said anything other than showing shocked expressions.

"I'm sorry if you're surprised. I didn't expect that he would do this to me, behind my back."

"Serena, Darling, are you alright?" asked her mother with a face full of worry.

She nodded her head. "I'm fine. I just need some time alone."

She went into her room and started packing some of her clothes as she tried to contact the agent where she got her celebrity job.

"Hey, I'd like permission not to work for a while. I need to do a road trip," Serena said after the call was picked up. “Alone.”

"Tell me a reasonable reason before I give you permission, Serena."

Serena sighed again. She was a bit tired of telling her situation but she had to explain something to her agent if she needed a permit.

"Henry and I broke up. I canceled the wedding and I need time to calm down."

"What?! Didn't I hear wrong about you guys being—"

"Please, I don't want to discuss it further."

"OK, fine. I'll let you. But, where are you going, Serena?"

"I'm going to Texas."

Vernon Johnson, his girlfriend, and their two friends were on the road for a trip to the West. Unfortunately, the car carrying them broke down and they had to call a tow truck while they waited by the side of the road.

"This is all your fault, Vernon! Now we're stuck on the side of the road because of this stupid car!" scolded Cherry Dawson, his girlfriend.

"I'm sorry, this all happened out of the blue," said Vernon as he looked at his two other friends, Oscar and Paulin; a woman that Oscar had grown up with since they were childhood, and the two of them were bonded to each other.

Oscar Dalton was a wealthy second generation from a prominent family, as well as a surgeon at the largest private hospital in the area.

"If only you'd taken this to the maintenance for a check-up first, we wouldn't be stranded on the side of the road like this, Vernon!" snapped Cherry who was endlessly blaming him.

But unfortunately, what happened was that Cherry grumbled more and continued to blame Vernon, even feeling no shame in scolding him in front of their friends. As a man, of course, Vernon felt embarrassed and he was also fed up with Cherry always cornering him and blaming him in many ways.

Cherry continued to argue about Vernon's frequent mistakes and listening to her ramblings made him want to break up with her right then and there. Her accusations never stopped which made him think that Cherry didn't appreciate him as her boyfriend.

"We're breaking up, Cherry," Vernon said in his cold voice.

Cherry and Paulin were surprised to hear Vernon's sudden decision amid such a chaotic situation.

"What?! Are you serious?" asked Cherry as she looked at him with an incredulous look as if what Vernon said was a joke amid a heated situation. "You're joking, right? Can you explain it more clearly?"

Vernon looked at Cherry with a look that didn't even blink an eye. His expression looked so serious and his jaw twitched, looking so hard. "I'm not joking and I'm completely serious, Cherry. We're breaking up. This time and today! I feel it's better to end such a torturous relationship with you."

Cherry looked so furious and walked away from them. Vernon no longer even tried to chase her like before. He completely let her go and didn't care about her anymore.

After Cherry accused him of verbally assaulting him, Oscar and Paulin tried to get Vernon to chase after Cherry since they were in a remote area with no cars around.

"Go after her, Vernon. She's a woman and it would be very dangerous if she was alone. She'll have a hard time if no one helps her to leave later, especially since there are no cars here," Oscar said.

Vernon shook his head, refusing to listen to Oscar's advice. "Leave her alone. She's no longer a child who should always be chased when she does something wrong, she's already 30 years old and knows what's right and what's not. She can take responsibility for herself."

Oscar and Paulin looked at each other at Vernon's response who no longer cared about Cherry after dumping her.

"Why did you break up with me?!" asked Cherry who turned back to him and asked. She had no intention of waiting for Vernon's apology, but she did want the reason for his decision.

"You're still asking why? You're always blaming me, Cherry! Always blaming me at a time like this!"

"But that's because you're wrong, Vernon! You always make rash decisions until time proves you're at fault!" responded Cherry as she continued to discuss Vernon's mistake, which to her was a mistake and worthy of argument in their conversation.

Vernon's breath caught in his throat as he and Cherry had an argument in which Cherry didn't want to feel defeated. "Well, now you're free to leave me. You're free to do whatever you want and there's no need for you to prove how terrible I am in your eyes!"

Vernon looked at her intently, showing how he was completely fed up with her and did not want to keep what they had built together. He was completely done with her.

"Fine! If that's what you want, don't ever ask me to come back to you or I'll humiliate you, Vernon! We're breaking up, just like you asked!" replied Cherry in agreement, in a tone that was so sharp.

Vernon never regretted his decision to end his relationship with Cherry because he was so determined. He also wouldn't ask for peace with her because he knew that a relationship with Cherry was tantamount to war for him, where war would never have peace in it later.

The two of them kept their distance while waiting for the tow truck that they had called, while Oscar and Paulin were still silent together after watching the drama of breaking up with their friends.

Vernon sighed, still upset. This was a terrible trip for him that he would probably remember for the rest of his life. And since things were already really messed up, he wanted this trip to end because there was no way he could continue with a different situation.

"I want this trip to end," he said, looking at his two friends without looking at Cherry as if she wasn't there.

"Are you sure, Vernon? Isn't this halfway through our trip?" asked Oscar.

Vernon nodded his head while looking to his left and right. "Yeah. This is the worst trip I've ever experienced in my life. Someone already blamed me and made a mess of the situation. I'm not sure we can enjoy this trip after—"

Suddenly a red jeep they saw on the deserted road where they were pulled over, drove up to them and stopped right in front of them as well, and it made Vernon stop his conversation while he saw the jeep.

The woman in the red jeep was alone by herself wearing sunglasses and lowered her car window and glasses slightly while looking at the four of them. "Hey, do you guys need help?"
