"Alex, enough! You are going to kill him."
Jaden tried to restrain Alex who had gone mad and was continuously beating up a man.
"Why should I?" Alex growled, making a fist, and struggling to break free.
"We need the intel from him." Jaden tried to stay rational. After seeing no sign of his friend calming down, he looked towards Thomas.
"Thomas, take him out of here. I will take care of everything."
The latter nodded and forcibly dragged Alex with him.
"We promise you Alex, we will take revenge. Just believe in your friends." Thomas started the engine; Alex didn't say a word, just stared at out of the window.
Thomas sighed; his eyes still glued to the road.
"Drive to the hospital."

"At least we don't have to worry about our expenses when we hang out."
Eva dropped her lunch box with a dull thud, attracting their attention. They immediately turned around, shocked, and when they saw Eva with glossy eyes and tear-stained cheeks they knew they messed up.
"Eva—” one of her so-called friends tried to speak up, but it was too late. Eva had already left the place, abandoning her lunch.

Eva kept running wherever her feet took her. Catching her breath, she stopped at an alley and wiped her tears, breaking down again. The once silent alley was filled with her sobs. No, she did not want to go home because she suffocates there from her past.
After crying and letting all her feelings in the form of tears, she felt a lot better. But she kept crying cause it was the only escape for her. The people she called friends betrayed her and was the reason for her current state. Suddenly, the thunder and lighting began. And not so long after, it rained.
Despite being astraphobic and scared of rain, when the cold water drenched her body, she felt relaxed knowing that she was not the only one crying; sky was crying with her.
“I am pathetic,” she muttered to herself before chuckling. But all the water that was soaking her suddenly stopped as a tall dark figure stood above her with an umbrella. At first, she did not notice it.
"Go home." She was startled by a deep voice. She immediately shot her head up. Even a fool could make out that she was crying by looking at her pitiful face.
The tall figure kneeled down to meet her at eye level and ruffled her hair.
"Go to your home. It is dangerous out here. Your life is precious; don't waste it like this." It was dark, but when the lightning flashed, the boy’s face could be seen clearly.
Eva froze for a second. The words 'Your life is precious' were the words that she needed to hear. No one ever told her that. Even her so-called friends betrayed her and told her to disappear from the world.
But the moment she heard those words she could feel the sparks throughout her body. The eye contact had now changed into the staring contest. But she broke it and looked down shyly, nodding, which made the boy chuckle.
"Here." He gave her his umbrella and bid his farewell. She wanted to stop him, ask him his name, who he was, and why he helped her. But her whole body remained frozen, and the words remained unspoken.
The only things she knew about him were his face and the school he attended since he was still in his uniform. For the first time in her life, she had a sincere smile plastered on her face.
