His Human Mate

Amelia's POV:

Finally, I am back home. It’s been almost nine years since I left home, and it’s good to be back. I miss my family, friends, and the pack. Yes, I am part of a werewolf pack. But I am not a werewolf.

I still have my werewolf instincts, but I am not a werewolf. At first, I was worried about seeing that everyone was different from me. But thanks to my family and pack support, I was okay with it.

Due to this, my family sent me away to England for studies at the age of eight. I visited my family during the holidays, but that's it.

But now, I am finally going to be staying here for good. I can't wait to meet my family and the pack. Also, recently my brother met his mate, so I am really excited to meet her.

When I talked to her over the phone, she seemed kind and fun. She has crazy energy.

I am waiting for my brother to pick me up at the airport. Suddenly, I felt someone pick me up from behind and spin me around. I started to squeal and laugh knowing it’s my brother.

"Put me down, Nathan,” I laughed as he put me down and gave me a hug.

"How are you baby sister?" he said as he let me go. I smiled cheekily at him.

"I'm fine. How are you? And how are mum and dad? And also, Angela?" I asked him excitedly. He chuckled at my enthusiasm.

"All of them are fine, baby sister. Everyone is waiting for you back at home," he said as he took my bags.

"I can't wait to see everyone," I said as I carried a bag.

We went to his truck and put my stuff in, then we got in and drove off.

“So, tell me," I said.

"Tell you what?"

"How you met Angela?" I asked with curiosity.

He rolled his eyes.

“Seriously?" he said avoiding the topic.

"Yes seriously," I said sternly.

"Well, we went to one of the neighbouring packs to search for the Alpha King's mate, but turns out I found mine," he said shrugging his shoulder.

"The Alpha King still hasn’t found his mate?" I asked bewildered. This is so sad. He has been searching for his mate since forever.

"Sadly, no. He has to find his mate soon or else we are going to face some big problems," he said sadly. I shook my head in sadness.

The Alpha King took over the pack a month after I went to England. There was an attack and sadly the Alpha died protecting the pack.

Soon after, the current Alpha King took over when he was only 16.

"I hope he finds her soon. Our Kingdom needs her,” I said.

"I hope so too. Anyway, now tell me about your time in England," he said changing the topic.

The whole ride back we talked and laughed as we caught up on our missed time. And soon we reached the territory. I felt my connection to the pack.

The pack power surged through my body. I smiled. I had missed the connection. When Nathan saw the smile on my face, he smiled, knowing what it was.

Nathan parked the truck outside our house as I ran outside to see my family. My father was the first one to come and hug me. I hugged him tightly as he spun me around.

"How are you, princess?" my dad asked as he put me down.

“I'm good papa. Where is mama?" I asked him. Just when I said this, my mum pushed him aside and hugged me.

"Oh, my goddess, I missed my honeybee,” she said as we laughed at her nickname. She hugged me for a few minutes before letting me go.

“Look at her. She is all grown up. Noah and Nathan are going to have a tough time keeping the boys away from her." When she said this, both my brother and father growled.

"She is not to be with any boy till she is 35," my father said making us laugh.

“Oh, come on, Noah. She is going to find her mate soon," my mum said, making my dad frown.

"Is she here? Where is she?" I heard someone yelling. The moment she saw me she gasped. "Is this her? She looks so beautiful,” she said, making me blush.

“T-Thank you,” I said shyly. She quickly engulfed me in a hug. It caught me by surprise, but I hugged her back.

"Oh my god, we can have girls’ night out and shopping and so much more," she rambled on as she led me inside.

Everyone gave me a pitying look before laughing. We went into the living room and sat down. Dad and my brother brought my things inside. I looked at the living room.

It was just the same as I last remembered it. There were still scribbles from when my brother and I were young. The same smell.

"So, how was England, princess?" my father asked me. I turned to him and smiled.

“It was nice. But I am so happy to finally be back. I missed you guys so much,” I said honestly.

"We missed you too, little sister. From hereafter, you are not going anywhere," Nathan said sternly, to which Angela and my mom burst out laughing.

I have some overprotective males in my house.

“Oh, come on. Let her live a little. Anyway, dear, go freshen up and rest. We can talk later," my mum said, sensing I was tired.

I nodded my head and went up to my room. As I entered, I saw the room I was too familiar with. Everything was still the same: my bookshelf, desk, bed, and makeup table.

I went into my closet and saw that some of my clothes were still there. I smiled as I grabbed a towel and went to take a shower.

After my shower, I went to my bed to take a nap. I didn't know how tired I was until I lay in my bed. Without wasting another minute, I dozed off.

"Amelia wake up," I heard someone calling me. I slowly opened my eyes and saw it was Angela. I smiled at her as I got up.

"Hey,” I said as I rubbed my eyes. She chuckled at my tiredness.

“Hey. I came to call you for dinner,” she said as she helped me out of bed.

"I'll come down in a bit,” I said as she nodded and left. I yawn as I stretched my body. I washed my face, then put a jacket over my tank top.

I went down and saw that everyone was already downstairs.

“Hi everyone,” I greeted them while I sat down.

“Hey, sleeping monster," my brother said as I glared at him.

"What's for dinner?" I asked excitedly.

“Mashed potatoes with grilled chicken and sauce." The moment my mum said this, my stomach started to growl.

"You have no idea how much I missed your food, Mum.”

“At least I have someone who appreciates my food," my mum said sarcastically.

"What? We all appreciate your food," my brother said.

“You always skip your breakfast."

“That was so long ago."

My mum just rolled her eyes and served the food. We quickly dug in. We were having small conversation when my mum and brother started to squabble. I ended up laughing at them.

"So, Nathan. When are you going back to the palace?" my father asked. I was shocked.

“Wait, you guys live in the palace?" I asked.

"Yes, we do. The Beta, Gamma, Delta, and head warrior stay in the palace. Along with the pack doctors," my brother told me. I didn't know about this at all.

"And we will probably be going over tomorrow. We need to start preparing for the ball," Nathan told my dad as he nodded his head.

"What ball?" I butted in.

“Well, the councilman suggested holding a ball for unmated females and males along with Alphas and Lunas. It is especially for the Alpha King to find his mate," Angela explained.

"I hope he finds his mate soon. The witches are being a real pain in the ass these days. Without the Luna everything might fall apart," my father said as he shook his head.

Everyone kept their mouth shut. I knew about witches creating problems to scare the Alpha. I sighed as I took my last bite.

After dinner, we watched a movie together. Halfway through the movie, all of them fell asleep. I switched off the TV and made sure everyone was comfortable before wrapping them with blankets.

I went up to my room and got into my bed. My eyes slowly start to close due to my tiredness. The last thing I heard was a howl.

Amelia's POV:

Nathan and Angela left early in the morning for the preparation of tomorrow night's ball. Apparently since there wasn't a Luna, a Beta female had to do everything.

But Angela asked to go shopping since she and I both needed to get a dress. I didn't want to attend the ball, but I’m being forced since it is a rule that any unmated male or female must attend. If I didn't go, I might be punished.

So, with no other choice, I agreed. I was just waiting for Angela to pick me up.

“Hey sweetie. Who are you waiting for?" my mother asked from the kitchen.

"Angela. She said she wanted to go shopping,” I said as I scrolled through the tv channels.

“Okay. I wanted to ask you something."

"What is it, mama?" I asked turning off my TV.

“Did you manage to find your mate yet?" she asked me.

I sighed. “Not yet, mama. Why do you ask?"

“Nothing. Anyway, what do you plan on doing after this?"

"Well, I wanted to study psychology. I was about to ask papa about it. I can be the pack psychologist if the Alpha King allows it,” I said.

"That's lovely, dear. Why don't you talk to your dad once he’s back?" my mum suggested. I nodded my head.

I heard a car engine and knew it was Angela.

“Angela is here, mum. Bye,” I said as I waved at her. I came out and saw Angela in a black car. I went to greet her.

"Hey. So where are we going?" I asked her as I got into the car.

"We are going to the pack mall. It has everything. You can literally get anything there,” she said excitedly. I chuckled at her.

"So, I heard that you guys have so much work. How are you coping with it?”

“Well, it isn't easy. But I am kind of used to it. I hope the Luna Queen is found soon though,” she said.

"I agree. From what I’ve heard the witch problem is getting out of hand. And if a war comes, it’s going to be difficult without a Luna. The pack will be weak,” I said, sighing.

"Ya. That's why the King needs to find his Luna soon." After that we changed the topic and talked about random things.

Once we reached the mall, we went straight to the dress shops. I didn't know shopping could be this difficult.

We had literally gone to most of the shops, and nothing seemed to appeal to Angela. My feet were starting to ache. I really hope this is the last store.

"My feet are hurting, Angela,” I said as I took a seat.

“Come on. Last one, I promise,” she said for the umpteenth time.

Suddenly I heard her squeal.

“This is it. It’s perfect,” she said as she showed me a burgundy dress. It looked perfect on her.

“You looked so good in it,” I said, smiling.

She went to change as I waited for her. As I was looking around, a white dress caught my eyes. It looked so good. It was a 2-piece dress. The top went around the neck as the skirt fell down in layers.

"You should buy it," Angela said from behind me, scaring me.

“No." I tried to walk away but she held on to me.

“Why not? You need a dress for tomorrow."

"I was planning on wearing a dress I already have,” I said trying to free myself, but she was obviously stronger.

"What? No. You are getting the dress. No more arguments,” she said giving me a stern look. With my mouth shut, I bought the dress. We did some more shopping and I finally got back home.

By the time we got home, it was evening, and Nathan was there.

“Hey, baby sister." He hugged me.

“Shopping with Angela? Must have been scary,” he said.

When Angela heard that, she hit him behind his head. He yowled as he pouted. I just laughed at them.

I hoped that one day I would have what they had. I sighed as they bid their farewells and left. I went up to my room and had a quick shower.

When I came down Mama and Papa were seated for dinner.

“Hey Papa,” I greeted him as I sat down.

“Hi princess. How was your day?"

"Painful. I went shopping with Angela." When I said this, he chuckled.

“You are the only female in our family who hates shopping. Should have seen your grandma and your mum." He grimaced.

I chuckled at him.

“Don't tell your mum I said that," he whispered.

“Don't tell me what?" my mum asked suddenly.

"Nothing," my dad and I said at the same time. She eyed us suspiciously before serving us. We started to eat. It was quiet without Nathan. I missed him. Maybe I should go and see him tomorrow.

"So, princess, your mum said you wanted to ask me something?"

“Can we talk after we finish eating?”

"Sure. We'll talk in my office."

I nodded my head and continued eating. Once we were done, I helped my mum with the dishes and went to my dad's office.

"Come on in, princess," my father said as I entered. I took a seat in front of his desk.

“So, what is it?”

“I want to study psychology and maybe become the pack psychologist. If that's alright with you and the Alpha King,” I asked him hopefully.

"Does that mean you'll be leaving again?" he asked with a frown. I chuckled.

“No, papa. I'll go to the local college. They offer a psychology course."

"Well, if that's the case, I am okay with it. Once you are done with your degree, we shall talk to the Alpha King about it. What do you say?"

I nodded my head in excitement and went to hug him.

“Thank you so much, papa." I smiled.

“Anything for you, princess,” he said hugging me back.

After that I went to my room and got ready for bed. I can't wait to go to college. With this thought I went to sleep.
