The distant mountains were covered with snow, and the spruce trees were arranged in neat rows.
The room was hot and messy.
Lucinda Penn turned over and got out of bed, picked up the strappy dress on the floor and put it on. Then she walked to the old wooden desk, took a cigarette in the man's case and looked at it up and down. She asked, "Does this cigarette taste good?"
Freddy Adams just calmed down. After the sex, his erogenous voice sounded hoarse and more tempting. "Have a try?"
Lucinda hesitated and shook her head.
Freddy lay on his side with his head propped up with one hand. There was only a white bath towel on his waist and abdomen, revealing his tight lines and sexy muscles. He raised his eyebrows and looked at her teasingly, "Don't you dare?"
Lucinda nodded and put the cigarette back in the case. "I am afraid of addiction. It's hard to quit, and it costs money to buy cigarettes."
Freddy chuckled, his light voice full of sarcasm. "Aren't you afraid of addiction when you try me?"
Lucinda thought for a few seconds before she replied with a grin, "I'm afraid, but you don't cost money."
Freddy still maintained a lazy posture, but the smile on his face gradually disappeared. Instead, he eyes were full of examination, as well as warning, "Lucinda, you are really something. You even dare to come to me."
The answer evaded Lucinda.
Well, she admitted that she was a little nervous and guilty now. After all, he was Freddy, her fiance Patrick Watts' uncle.
Patrick...
Thinking of this, Lucinda instantly stopped smiling and had a rare serious expression. "I have a question. You knew Patrick and his mother are not related by blood, right?"
Freddy seemed to have expected that she would ask this, so the expression on his face did not change. He nodded slightly and replied, "Of course, my last name is Adams, and that woman's is Brady."
After a suffocating silence, Lucinda murmured, "I always thought they were mother and son, but I saw them..."
Lucinda couldn't stop crying at the thought of this. But in front of Freddy, she held back and just sniffed. "You don't think it's normal for Patrick to kiss and sleep with his foster mother who is so much older than himself, do you?"
Freddy didn't speak. He was silent for a moment before he asked, "Is that why you came to me?"
Her motive was seen through. Instead of denying it or directly admitting it, Lucinda chose to skip his question and insisted on getting an answer, "Answer my question first."
She was a little anxious to get an answer from Freddy. However, he obviously didn't intend to be serious. "I'm just his not-so-close uncle. I don't know about his affairs, and I'm not interested. As for sleeping, everyone has different tastes. Don't you like men younger than yourself?"
So, did Freddy mean that it was normal for Patrick to like a woman ten years older than himself?
Lucinda was helpless, her shoulders drooping slightly. She sighed, then pulled herself together. Looking up and blinking at Freddy with watery eyes, she said, "I don't like younger men, I like you."
"Huh." Freddy didn't want to waste his time with a woman who didn't matter. He kept his look unchanged and asked Lucinda to leave, "Just drive my car out for a walk, and then take the flight back tomorrow morning. Park the car near the airport. I will have it driven back."
Being a little annoyed, Lucinda asked, "Are you driving me away?"
Freddy raised his eyebrows noncommittally. "What's the problem? This is not the place for you to come, and I am not the one you can afford to play."
His voice was heavy, full of threats and warning. Just a plain look of him could make others shudder.
"Why didn't you say that before the sex? You turned against me as soon as you're satisfied. Jerk." Lucinda uttered the last word in a very low voice, but Freddy heard it anyway.
Freddy suddenly raised his hand and grabbed her chin, looking at her condescendingly, and said word by word, "Listen up, don't take me as a tool for your revenge. Otherwise..."
As soon as Freddy squinted, Lucinda shivered involuntarily.
"Otherwise what?"
Freddy snorted coldly, "Just try."

Try? Then she would have a try! Anyway, she came here to sleep with Freddy. It was the same if they got laid for the second time.
What was more, for more than 20 years, it was the first time for her to experience the feeling of extreme happiness, which really made her strongly obsessed with. She was even a little glad that she had never slept with Patrick before.
Throwing caution to the wind, she stood on tiptoe to hold Freddy's neck, approached his thin lips and said stubbornly, "I'm not afraid."
She had paid by mistake for seven years. How many seven years could she have in her life? And the youth was so short.
The sex lasted for more than an hour again...
Lucinda fell asleep in tears.
Freddy wanted to smoke, but he found that the cigarette holder had been pinched flat by Lucinda. Tilting his head and looking at the sleeping little woman in bed, he narrowed his deep eyes.
His lips curled into an almost invisible smile.
His mobile phone had been flashing. When he picked it up, there were more than 20 missed calls.
There were also a few text messages.
"Uncle, Lucinda went to Ocestin alone because she's angry with me. I'm worried about her. You happen to be in Ocestin. Can you take care of her for me? This is her contact information..."
Freddy raised his eyebrows, memorized Lucinda's number, and replied casually, "Don't worry. I will take good care of her for you."
His finger slipped. When he saw the earliest unread message, he paused.
After only a moment's silence, he quickly turned off his mobile phone, put on his clothes and went out in the wind and rain.
…
Lucinda was woken up by Patrick's phone call.
She picked it up in a daze and heard Patrick asking her in a hurry which room she was in. She subconsciously told him the room number and suddenly woke up.
Damn it! She forgot that her room was diagonally opposite. This was Freddy's room!
Hearing the sound of entering the elevator from the other side of the phone, Lucinda immediately turned over and got out of bed, picked up her clothes as quickly as possible, only to find that she couldn't find her underwear. Forget it. She didn't have time to care too much. After putting on her strappy dress and coat, she ran out.
Just as she closed Freddy's room door and was about to open her own, she found that she had forgotten her room card. At this time, Patrick had already appeared in the corridor.
After seeing her, Patrick trotted up to her, put down his suitcase and held her in his arms, apologizing constantly, "Sorry, honey, there was something wrong with the company yesterday, so I couldn't accompany you at the first time. I promise you, I won't make you angry or wronged again."
Looking at the window at the end of the corridor, Lucinda had no expression on her face.
He still thought she just minded that he was a mama's boy.
Patrick let go of her and looked up at the room number. "This is your room, right? Open the door first. I'll put my suitcase in and take you to lunch. I have an appointment with my uncle."
Only then did Lucinda blink and point to the door, "I forgot to take the card."
Patrick smiled and touched her nose, saying "You're still like this. It's okay. We'll go there directly. I'll just put the suitcase at the front desk."
Lucinda was rendered embarrassed. She didn't want to go out without underwear. Especially, they were going to meet Freddy.
But Patrick didn't give her the chance to refuse. He took her downstairs.
Fortunately, the dining place was not very far away, and Patrick didn't find any abnormality of Lucinda for a few minutes in the car.
By the time they arrived, the box of the restaurant was full.
Lucinda was dumbfounded as she looked at the scene.
She asked Patrick through gritted teeth in a very low voice, "Didn't you only have an appointment with your uncle? Why are there so many people?"
Patrick explained with a smile, "Don't be nervous. They are all colleagues of my uncle. He is going to leave the circle, so this is a farewell party. I happened to make the appointment with my uncle when they were about to meet, so we came to attend it together."
