Lunarstar Academy
Synopsis
Welcome to Lunarstar Academy, school for the freaky supernatural creatures you only hear about in horror stories. That's right. All the vampires, werewolves, angels, and demons that haunt your nightmares started off here. Although we are all supernatural creatures, the hierarchy is pretty much the same as in any normal high school. Pretty, powerful, and intimidating on top, with everyone else on the bottom. The biggest difference is that most of us (the vampires and werewolves anyway) find our mates here, which definitely complicates things... Who am I? My name is Emily. I'm a vampire and this is my story.

Welcome to Lunarstar Academy, school for the freaky supernatural creatures you only hear about in horror stories. That's right. All the vampires, werewolves, angels, and demons that haunt your nightmares started off here.
Although we are supernatural creatures, the social hierarchy is pretty much the same as that of any other high school. Pretty, powerful, and intimidating on top, with everyone else on the bottom. So as you probably guessed, vampires and demons are at the top, and werewolves and angels are at the bottom.
Now, I know what you're thinking: why aren't angels at the top? Well, because until they graduate and get assigned to a human, they don't really have any authority. Once they start school, they get healing powers, but that's about it. Now, you may also be wondering what the hell we even learn here. Well, that's complicated. We don't just learn how to use our powers and the skills of our species, we also learn about the other creatures. We learn about their history, their strengths, their weaknesses, and how to defeat them in battle.
Unfortunately, all the teachers here are trying to teach us peace. They don't like how we're always at each other's throats. Like, hello! What did they think would happen when they put biological enemies together? Obviously, we don't like each other, so obviously, there are fights.
Who am I? My name is Emily. I'm a vampire, and today is my first day in hell. As you can probably tell, I'm not excited. Why would I be? I have to pack up and move into the academy dorms and deal with all the annoying people and condescending teachers.
There is a vampire dorm, a demon dorm, an angel dorm, and a werewolf dorm. Each one has its own system. Werewolves are constantly looking for their mates, and since every wolf in the world comes to our campus, they usually find them—unless their mate ends up being human or a vampire, or in even rarer cases, a demon.
A werewolf can't have an angel as a mate, it'd cause too much chaos with the moon goddess. Anyway, because they're always looking for their mates, once they find them, if they're also a werewolf, they room with each other so they don't disturb anyone else. It's pretty much always chaos there.
The angel dorm is the complete opposite. It's always clean and orderly, no two angels of the opposite gender can share a room, so they don't get distracted from their "Divine Studies," as they call it. They have very strict advisors that make sure nothing and no one goes off schedule. It's very "yes sir" and "no sir" there. Not fun in any way, shape, or form.
Then there's the demon dorm. It's a very...interesting place. There are no real rules, but it's orderly in its own way. You know those frat houses and biker bars you see on TV? It's kinda like a mixture of both. Full of pranksters who are always looking to make deals.
And last but not least, the vampire dorm. It's pretty much nothing but a constant party. Very loud and very annoying. Since we don't really need sleep, we get bored easily. And that's where I, unfortunately, have to stay whilst I'm here in this hell hole.
"Now, Emily, I know you don't want to be here, but try to make the most of it, okay?"
"No promises, mom." I say, grabbing the last of my bags and putting them in my dorm.
"Seriously, Emily!? Ugh, at least try to be civil to your roommate."
"Again. No promises, mom. I swear, sometimes I don't believe you're a vampire at all. You're too compassionate. If I didn't know any better, I'd say you're a human."
She just rolls her eyes and says goodbye.
I start to unpack my things and wait for my roommate. You see, the dorm advisors believe that guy and girl vampires can learn from each other. Besides, werewolves aren't the only creatures with mates. Vampires also have them, much to my dismay. The advisors think that they can match up vampires with their mates based on our files. I don't know how successful they've been, but nonetheless, it's annoying.
I should probably describe myself, shouldn't I? Well, I have long, dark, straight hair, bright-green eyes, and pale skin. Now that that's out of the way, all I have to do is wait, since no one can go anywhere until everyone is in their rooms and settled. And to ensure everyone gets settled, school doesn't start till next week.
All of a sudden, the door opens. "You must be my roommate. Hey, my name's Alex."

The boy also known as Alex has black hair, blue eyes, and cockiness written all over his face. Ugh out of all the vampires in this whole school I just had to be paired with Mr. Ego over here. I'd say "shoot me now" but.
"Not much of a talker are you?" Alex says putting his stuff on his bed.
"Will you at least tell me your name? I mean I can't just call you, quiet broody girl till we graduate, right?"
Ugh does this guy ever shut up!? "If I tell you my name will you shut up so I can read without you interrupting me every 5 seconds?" I say rolling my eyes in exasperation. He nods.
"Emily. My name is Emily." He looks me up and down and smirks. Ugh please don't tell me he's one of those guys.
You know the type of guy who's so egotistical that he almost never smiles. Instead all they ever do is smirk. "So Emily. Tell me about yourself." He says with a smirk in his voice. Letting out an annoyed sigh I close my book and glare at him.
"I like being able to read in peace. However I can tell that as long as you're here I won't be able to do that."
"Ah you my dear have quite the attitude."
"Me? An attitude? No. Never."
"Okay. If you don't have an attitude then what do you have?"
I get up and bend down in his face and look him in the eyes. "What do I have?" I ask him. I start to lean closer to where our noses are touching; I can see that he thinks he can add me to the list of girls that have fallen for his "charm."
I stop moving when there is little to no space between us "I have an egotistical douchebag as my roommate." I say turning back and picking up by book again. I had just found my place again when it was ripped from my hands and I was pinned to my bed by my throat.
I roll my eyes and look at the very angry Alex above me.
"Now Emily, that was very mean of you."
"Aw did I bruise your little ego? I'd say I'm sorry but that would be a lie; wouldn't it?" I say completely unfazed.
He thinks he's so intimidating but in reality he's just boring. And I hate being bored. So why don't I make this interesting even if it's just for a moment. He starts tightening his grip in my neck so I take his wrist and in the blink of an eye twist it behind his back breaking it.
He tries to knock me off him so I kick him to the ground pinning him down by holding my foot to his neck. "Now Alex, that was very mean of you." I say mocking his words from a moment ago. After he stops trying to fight me I let him go. "Well now that that's over I'm bored; and hungry." I say running my hand through my hair. "If you decide to play nice I might be willing to share one of my blood bags with you." I say to him as though I'm a parent talking to a child.
I get into my mini fridge talking out a blood bag and pouring it into a cup so I don't ruin my clothes. After a moment of him just staring at the blood like a starving animal he asks if he could have some. So keeping to my word I give him a cup.
"Since we're gonna be stuck together till we graduate here's something you need to know about me. Now I'm only gonna say this once so listen carefully. Cockiness will get you nowhere."
