Married after a Blind Date

Noon, scorching sun overhead.

New York was like a steamer, too hot to bear.

Lisa held her lunch box in one hand and rushed across the road with her phone in the other.

All she wanted was to return to the office and enjoy the air conditioning.

However, Tracy, her mother was urging her to go to a blind date on the phone.

"So you work in the nearby?"

"Yes, I've been working here for four years and now I'm a supervisor. With the bonus, I make about 150,000 a year. I have a car, fully paid for, and as for the house, I paid the down payment and I'm still paying the monthly instalments. How about you?"

"I make 6,000 a month. I don't have a car or a house, but I have a small amount of savings."

Lisa didn't expect him to be so straightforward about his financial situation.

Ben frowned, seeming a bit disappointed.

"If we get married, can we share the instalment? I'll pay the majority and you can contribute a smaller portion, but you should take care of the household chores."

Lisa saw a man in a white shirt walking towards them,with a cold but perfect face that couldn't be faulted.

"Grandma." Eric called in a casual tone. His gaze fell on Lisa. "She is the one?"

Lisa blushed a little.

Goodness, he is too hot!

"Eric." Eric extended his hand indifferently.

Lisa felt a bit nervous and hesitantly reached out her hand. "Lisa."

"Lisa, if it's convenient, let's go get married now."

Eric's cold voice was as captivating as a magnet, and his gaze held a hint of determination while looking at Lisa.

Her appearance was above average. With her high ponytail casually tied up, she gave off a simple and cool impression.
