My eyes plumped wider as I noticed what he was about to do.  "No-no, " I said shakily trying to pry myself off him but he was so strong and wouldn't budge. He flashes his white teeth at me. His wood scent radiates in my soul taking me in like a dried fish. I nearly moaned in satisfaction as his fangs touched my bare skin. I thought he was going to mark me.  He kissed the area and his next word broke me to pieces".I shall keep you as my pet instead. You shall be my stress reliever " I tried to pry him off me but he wouldn't budge. CHAPTER 1 | Mated to the Mysterious Alpha

Elsa Cornick.

"I reject you as my mate. Now leave!"

Her heart broke into pieces. He refused to spare her a glance, instead turning his back on her. She couldn't take a step forward, fearing he would snap her neck. He didn't want her as his mate. She was a weakling, after all, she thought to herself.

" You can't do this to me, please," she pleaded, hoping he could save her from this heartbreak.

" GET OUT!" he roared at her without turning to face her.

It began to feel as though he was hiding his identity from her. She only wanted to get a glimpse of what he looked like, but he wouldn't turn around. She knew not to push further, so she said to him, "I love—"

"ELSA, WAKE YOUR ASS UP!"

Elsa woke up instantly, and reality hit her. It was a dream. She had never been this grateful in her life. She didn't know what she would do if her mate ended up rejecting her.

The pounding on her door reminded her that she woke up because of the sound. Elsa hurriedly went to get the door, sure it was one of her cousins, Amora or Bianca, or maybe both.

She opened the door and wasn't surprised to see them standing with mischievous looks on their faces.

"What do you want?" Elsa asked, annoyed. They had to interrupt her nice sleep, she thought. Her rudeness would surely be punished, she knew that already.

The eldest, Amora, placed her hand on her waist and glared at Elsa like a witch. "Are you talking to us in such a manner, you weakling?"

Elsa mentally rolled her eyes and knew this was going to be hard. Most of the time, she ended up with a slap on the face.

"I'm sorry. What may I do for you?" She corrected, and it worked for her. Bianca smirked.

"Good. I need you to wash my clothes. They've been in the laundry room since yesterday and haven't been touched."

Elsa's heart sank deeply. She hated doing their laundry. She preferred to do the house chores and go on errands because they always made her wash the same clothes more than ten times. She wasn't exaggerating. They always wanted to see her suffer.

"But...I thought the dry cleaner came home yesterday," she stuttered, and that ended with a smack on the face. She was taken aback and didn't see that coming. Amora was the one who slapped her.

"I've told you to stop talking back at us when we give orders," Amora said.

Elsa bowed her head. "I'm sorry."

"Now go downstairs and do what you're supposed to do."

"Yes," she said to Amora, who looked at her with so much hatred in her eyes.

"I'll do as you say."

"Good. Now you can leave."

Elsa waited for them to leave, but they had no motive, so she left instead to do what they wanted her to do. She hadn't even had breakfast or taken her bath. She thought she would have time to rest since they needed to go to a party, but luck wasn't on her side.

She let out a sigh as she saw the pile of clothes littered around the laundry room. This would take her hours, she thought. She was banned from using the washing machine, as it was a crime for her to use it. She had to wash all the clothes by hand.

She found a bucket and fixed what she needed to use to do the laundry. Her heart sank badly. She heard the front door open and knew it was her aunt, her uncle's wife.

Amora and Bianca went to welcome her because they knew she had good news for them. There had been speculations that their family was invited to the biggest party in town, and the alpha of the Red Moon pack would be present. Many werewolves would like to meet this alpha because of his influence.

Rumor had it that he already had a fiancée, and she was the prettiest in the state. Every household received the invite to the party, but Elsa knew she wouldn't be going. Her aunt wouldn't let her leave the house, and her uncle was always in support of what his wife did.

"Mum, we've been waiting all day for you," Amora asked her mother, who sounded excited.

"Oh, dear! You won't believe what happened," Leah said excitedly. Her children bore their eyes at her, waiting eagerly for the good news.

"I received the invite. You two will be going to the party!" Leah said, and her children squealed excitedly.

"I can't believe it, Mom. I'll get to meet the mysterious alpha, Xavier."

"I know, dear, but remember, girls, he has a fiancée," Leah said, and Bianca hissed. "I wonder how she was able to capture his heart."

"I heard she's a model and also the daughter of a popular alpha," Leah told her daughters.

"If only Dad was an alpha, I knew I would stand a chance," Amora said with a pout.

"It's okay, girls. You'll get to meet other guys too. There will be influential men too, and I heard that other alphas would be there. So, be prepared, because I have a feeling you'll find your mate there, and they will be alphas too."

The two girls squealed excitedly. Elsa scoffed from where she was. "As if," she muttered to herself.

"ELSA!"

She came out of her reverie due to the roar of her name. She snapped her head towards the person, and it turned out to be her aunt.

"Yes, ma'am," she answered with a bow of her head.

Leah was holding a pile of clothes and threw it at Elsa. "Here are my clothes. I want them to be sparkling clean." Elsa had no choice but to nod her head, but Leah wasn't satisfied with that. "Don't you have a mouth to reply?" she shot her a hard glare.

"Yes, Aunt, I'll do as you say," she said with a heavy heart.

Deep down, she wished she had the courage to talk back, but she was scared of another lash of the cane she always received from her uncle when she talked back to his wife or children. "Good. You worthless piece of shit," Leah spat and left the laundry room. Elsa felt bad for herself. She had no friends or savior. This was what she was born to do, after all - to serve her uncle's family.

She always wondered if she would get to meet her mate. Would he be able to save her? Would they let him take her away? She wondered sadly. Meeting him would be the best thing ever, but she had this doubt in her that he was going to reject her. Her dreams were proof of that.

"I'm a curse, after all. I killed my parents, and I think this is my punishment," she said with a lone tear.

Elsa went back to her room after doing the laundry. She needed to take a bath. Her body felt sore from washing. Her hands had turned white already. She was really tired but didn't have the right to say it out loud. She crashed onto the bed immediately after she got inside. She let out a sigh of relief. "I'm so freaking tired," she admitted.

After a few minutes of relaxing, she got up and made her way to the bathroom. The rest of the family had gone to the party. She wished she could go too, but they wouldn't let her. Suddenly, a thought crossed her heart.

What if she broke a rule just for today? She thought to herself. She had been obedient enough for quite some time. There wouldn't be anything wrong with going out to see the party, right? She thought to herself again, and a wide smile came across her face.

She heard there would be lots of prominent people there. What if she found her mate too? She wondered. It would be a nice feeling, finding him. Occasions like this worked like magic. Ladies her age found their mates once in a blue moon. She didn't want to miss this opportunity, so she made up her mind. She already had a plan on how to go about it.

Elsa ran to her wardrobe to look for a nice outfit for the party. Not that she had any good outfits, but there were some she could manage. She found a chiffon dress she had been keeping. It was one of her mother's dresses, which her uncle allowed her to keep. Most of her mother's clothes were sold, and they refused her any. She was glad they let her keep this one.

It was a green gown that would reach her knee. "Bingo! This would do," she said to herself excitedly. The smile on her face refused to wipe off. The fact that she was about to go against her uncle for the very first time made her feel a little sane. She had been like a robot since she came here. She didn't have her own say, nor did she even have the right to object to whatever she was told to do. The rule was to obey and not to complain. That was her life.

She had never worn the gown before, so she decided to give it a trial. She pulled off her nightwear and wore the chiffon gown. She pulled the zip up and stared at herself through the mirror. She let out a gasp when she saw how the gown fitted her so well. It hugged her in the right places. She almost teared up in joy. This was her mom's outfit, and it fit her. She couldn't contain her joy.

She hurriedly pulled her blond hair down and combed it with her old comb. Her hair bounced as she combed it. Her hair was beautiful, after all; she didn't have to do too much to make it look good. After she was done, she admired herself and smiled charmingly.

She had an old pair of flat shoes that she rarely wore. They finally came in handy since she didn't have heels. She couldn't even walk in heels, even though she had them. She had always worn flats since becoming an adult.

Elsa smiled at her final result and ran for the door. She knew she had to be quick about it. She needed to get back before her uncle and his family returned. She remembered her cousin talking about the address, so she memorized it.

The sad part was that she didn't have money to take a ride, so she had to walk to the hall. If only she knew how to change into her wolf form quickly, she would have run in her wolf form because it would have been faster for her. But changing always took time for her, so she decided against it and walked instead.

She took the easiest route to the place. She got tired when she was halfway there and had to catch her breath along the way. She finally spotted the hall from afar, and a smile crossed her face.

"There you are," she muttered breathlessly. As she got closer to the hall, she noticed something strange. Her wolf howled in her head. This was the first time her wolf had done that. She wondered why it was happening now.

She felt a strange sensation in the pit of her belly. At some point, she thought of going back, but then something inside her urged her to go ahead to the party.

She walked down to the entrance but was stopped. "You can't go in without an invitation."

CHAPTER 2 | Mated to the Mysterious Alpha

Elsa didn't know what to do, as she had forgotten that an invitation was required. She couldn't go back home, having already come this far. "Please, I need to talk to my brother. He's inside. We came together, but he left me," she tried to lie, but the guard didn't seem convinced.

She stomped her feet in annoyance. "Miss, you need to leave. Don't cause a commotion here," the guard warned.

Just as she was about to turn around and leave, a voice stopped her. "Lily! I've been waiting for you."

Elsa turned in confusion. A lady in a black dress referred to her as Lily. Elsa furrowed her brows, confused. "Me?"

The lady signaled her to play along. Elsa quickly understood and smiled widely. "I've been waiting outside, and these guards refused to let me in."

The lady stared at the guard with a warning. "She's my friend, and you didn't let her in." She took Elsa's hand. The guards looked confused.

"We apologize, ma'am. We didn't know you two came together," one of the guards explained.

The lady was from the Red Moon pack, and the guards didn't want to anger anyone from there, as their Alpha had warned them not to cause trouble.

"Let her in," the lady said, and Elsa watched her with gratitude. She was surprised someone like this still existed – someone kind enough to help her.

Nobody had ever been this kind to her since she arrived. This was the first time, and she couldn't express how she felt about it. Elsa watched the lady as she dragged her inside the hall.

The lady suddenly stopped in the middle of the hall and turned to Elsa. "We got lucky they bought that," she said, and Elsa nodded awkwardly.

The lady noticed Elsa's confusion and clasped her hands together. "I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself. I'm Lucia. I was heading to the bathroom when I saw what was happening outside, so I thought I'd help you out."

Elsa smiled gratefully at her. "I appreciate your kindness. You didn't have to do this, but you helped me."

Lucia waved it off. "It's nothing, really. You can enjoy yourself." She smiled kindly. "I need to use the restroom now."

Elsa nodded and thanked her. When Lucia left, Elsa took in the room and was impressed by its beauty. Everyone looked elegant, with ladies in expensive gowns and men in tuxedo suits. They all looked flashy, while Elsa looked like a maid, as usual.

She carefully avoided her uncle and his family, though she hadn't seen them yet. She saw a waiter passing by with drinks and stopped him, taking a glass cup. She gulped down the alcohol in one drink and smiled at the taste. She loved it.

This was her first time drinking alcohol. She saw another waiter passing by, picked up another glass, and drank it up. She did this more than five times and became drunk.

She could still walk well but felt a little dizzy. "I can't believe I'm drunk already," she said to herself.

She almost stumbled as she walked. She tried to make her way to the door, knowing she needed to leave before she went unconscious. She felt stupid for drinking more than six cups in one go.

"How can you be so stupid, Elsa?" she scolded herself. She couldn't even find the directions to the door. All she did was walk. The people in the room didn't know what was happening. She went to the back where there was a smaller crowd. She found an empty chair and sat down, hoping the dizziness would go away for a while.

She saw a bottle of water on the table she was sitting on, so she picked it up and pulled off the cap. She drank the water like her life depended on it. She dropped it when she was satisfied. Her vision became a little clearer now. She studied her surroundings and didn't know what made her look at the stage, and she saw a tall man standing with a lady. There was something strange about the man, she thought to herself.

She took her time to size him up, and her wolf howled again, and she became confused. The way the lady in front of him was rubbing his chest made her angry. She felt like going over there and dragging her hair. "The hell!" She shook the thought. "What is wrong with me?" She asked herself. She had never had a thought like this. She hates fighting, so why is she trying to pick a fight with someone she doesn't even know?

She stared again at the couple, but found that the man wasn't with the lady anymore. The lady was now talking to another lady. She recognized the new lady instantly; it was the same lady who helped her come into the hall.

Elsa decided to call it a night. The party was almost over. She needed to be home before her uncle found out that she also went out. She saw an empty hallway, so she passed through the hallway, hoping to find a back door that would lead her out.

She stumbled on her feet as she made her way down the hallway. The hallway led her to another open space on her left. Just when she was about to take a turn, she came crashing into a wall - or so she thought. The person circled their arms around her waist to help her stand still. She was wasted.

"Ouch!" She winced when she hit her head on the wall. She hit the chest, thinking it was a wall. "Why would you hit me?" she said with a pout, but something felt strange; she could still feel a weight on her waist.

"Is that how you get yourself drunk and become blind?" a deep voice said, and she felt her legs almost give away because of how sexy he sounded. She realized that she didn't crash into a wall; it was a chest - a male's chest, for that matter.

She pushed away from him and raised her head to meet his eyes. The moment their eyes met, she couldn't contain the gasp that left her lips. He was the same man she had seen earlier with that lady she felt like hitting.

Right there, standing in front of her, was the most handsome man she had ever met. His green eyes stared at her like they were staring at her soul; his pointed nose looked a little broken, maybe from years of fighting, she thought; and then his lips, which were the most interesting part for her, his plump lips stared down at her, and she wished she could just kiss him.

"Are you deaf or something?" He growled at her angrily. She realized he must have said something, and she didn't hear.

"Huh?" She looked lost. She didn't know what she was feeling. She wasn't sure if she was all horny because she was drunk or because the man was too gorgeous. But one thing was sure; she had never felt this way about a guy before, so what makes this one different?

He shook his head at her. He saw that she was wasted. He heard a voice coming their way. "Asher! Are you there?" A voice called out his name. He knew he needed to hide.

Asher carried her and took her to a spare room, which wasn't far from where they were standing. He took them inside and waited for the person calling out his name to leave.

Elsa giggled. "You are so strong," she drawled out. She was so drunk that she couldn't even process her thoughts anymore.

Asher shook his head. "Where do you live? I need to take you home."

Elsa whined. "I don't want to leave so soon. I want to be in your arms."

She dragged the words. He rolled his eyes at her, but knew he needed to take her home right now. Someone might take advantage of her if he leaves her alone. He didn't want to risk it. She was his Mate, after all.
