Chapter 1: I Dare to Marry | Mr. Davison, Will You Marry Me?

The Keeleys' Private Estate Arleta Gwenith stared at her stunning reflection in the mirror. Her features were almost too perfect.

Despite the upcoming wedding, her eyes were distant and cold.

"Arle, you look gorgeous," a man in a tuxedo said, pushing open the door and walking up to her. He gently took her hand and kissed the back of it.

"Are you excited to be my bride?" Cabe Keeley asked, looking enchanted.

Arleta sneered inwardly but kept a soft expression. "Of course, I’m excited, Cabe. Do you love me?"

Cabe, not understanding why Arleta would ask, assumed she was just feeling nervous. "Of course. Why else would I go through all the trouble to get my father to agree to our marriage? Arle, do you love me?"

"Of course." As Cabe embraced her, a knowing smile played on Arleta's lips.

...

As the groom led the bride to the stage, a video suddenly played on the big screen, accompanied by explicit sounds.

Cabe looked up, his face turning ghostly pale.

The video showed him in bed, but the woman beside him wasn’t Arleta—it was his father's girlfriend, Vivian Collins.

Hudson, seated below, shook with rage. Vivian tried to explain, but Hudson slapped her hard across the face.

"Disgraceful bitch! Why are you in that video?" Hudson's teeth chattered with anger.

Vivian, holding her swollen cheek, tearfully said, "Hudson, I don’t know. You have to believe me."

She aimed a finger at Arleta, yelling, "Arleta, you made this fake video. Why are you doing this?"

Arleta gave a small smile and answered, "Vivian, I’m not that good. Don't you remember what you've done?"

The crowd erupted in whispers.

It seemed the video was Arleta's doing, either to get back at Cabe or because she’d lost her mind.

A woman with no influence or status playing that video at her wedding—talk about guts.

The guests were totally into this big upper-crust scandal.

Hudson glared at Cabe, shouting, "Cabe, control your wife!"

Cabe didn’t expect Arleta to have found out about his affair with Vivian. To save face and prevent the situation from escalating, he whispered to Arleta, "Arle, let's just get through the wedding, and I'll explain everything later. Please, just stop the video."

Arleta's eyes were icy as she mocked him, "You still want to get married?"

"Or what?" Cabe hissed through gritted teeth. The guests were all prominent figures, and no matter what, the wedding had to go on. He’d explain everything to Arleta later.

The girl in the white wedding dress lifted her head high and glanced at the murmuring guests. Then she clapped her hands and said, "Hey everyone, it's my wedding day, but my fiancé ended up with my future stepmom. Shouldn’t they just be together instead?"

The video continued playing, with the woman’s voice saying, "Cabe, you promised me that once the old man lets you take over The Keeleys, you’ll divorce her. You can't go back on your word."

"Don’t worry, babe, you’re the real Mrs. Keeley."

The staff finally managed to stop the video, but everyone had already seen and heard enough.

The Keeleys were in a mess, and Vivian ran up to the stage, screaming at Arleta, "Arleta, you bitch! You set me up. Why are you doing this?"

"I never harmed anyone. You were the ones who hurt me first." Arleta grabbed Vivian's wrist as she charged at her.

Unexpectedly, Vivian fell off the stage. Fortunately, it wasn’t high, or she would have been seriously hurt.

Clutching her leg, Vivian cried, "Arleta, you pushed me! You must be with some other man and framed me and Cabe."

"Arle, what did I do to deserve this? I loved you so much, and you set me up?" Vivian's words triggered something in Cabe. He stepped forward and grabbed Arleta's wrist.

Caught off guard, Arleta dropped her bouquet.

Before the video, Cabe had always been gentle and caring, the perfect boyfriend. But now, his true colors showed—his face contorted with rage as he gripped her wrist so tightly it left red marks.

Her voice trembled with pain, "Let go of me. Don’t touch me."

"Do you think this will benefit you? Who would dare to marry you after this?" Cabe, usually so refined, now revealed his selfish, ugly side.

"Yeah, men will be men. Why make such a fuss?" someone whispered.

"She’s crossed the Keeleys. She’ll be kicked out for sure," another murmured.

In an inconspicuous corner, a man sat quietly. His eyes scanned the stage until they fixed on a slender figure.

His pupils contracted when he saw the small red mole on her ear.

It was her, the girl who saved him all those years ago.

Just then, a deep male voice echoed through the wedding hall, "Who says no one dares to marry her? I will!"

Chapter 2: Hey, Nephew | Mr. Davison, Will You Marry Me?

The air around them seemed to freeze, silent as a tomb.

Arleta slowly turned around, and there he was—walking towards her on the red carpet. His suit was sharp, and his features were so chiseled they looked like they were carved from marble, flawless in every way.

The man had a subtle smile playing at his lips as he strode over, his long legs making it look like he was gliding through the air.

He was so striking, you couldn’t tear your eyes away.

Before seeing this man, Arleta thought Cabe was pretty handsome, but now Cabe seemed like nothing more than a background character.

“Oh my god, is that him?!”

“Mr. Davison’s here? I thought he was always abroad?” Some guests recognized him and whispered in shock.

Arleta’s breath seemed to catch in her throat. Her voice was trembling as she asked, “What you just said—was that for real?”

The man’s smile widened, his face softening with an unusual gentleness. “Of course, my bride.”

“Let her go.” The man’s demeanor turned icy the moment he looked at Cabe.

Cabe’s hand twitched, and he instinctively let go of Arleta.

Arleta quickly moved behind the man, looking like a delicate little bird hiding from a storm.

“Uncle Chris, you’re not serious, are you? It’s my wedding today, and Arleta is my wife.” Cabe quickly protested once he realized what was happening.

Uncle Chris???

Arleta was stunned. This man was Cabe’s uncle, Christian, the CEO of C.M.

Even if Arleta wasn’t up to date on every detail, as the future daughter-in-law of the Keeleys, she had heard of Christian. He was Hudson’s younger brother and Logan’s youngest son. Logan had been much older when he had children, so Cabe was only three years younger than Christian. Christian had left for abroad when he was young and had very little contact with Hudson.

Christian was a prodigy. He founded his own C.M. empire before he was even twenty, with ventures in real estate, finance, and entertainment. He was one of the most eligible bachelors in LA and nationwide. So many women wanted to be with Christian, but it just wasn’t happening.

And now, this almost mythical man was standing right in front of her, and he wanted to marry her?

Christian completely ignored Cabe, treating him like he was invisible, which was incredibly embarrassing for Cabe.

“Dad, why is Christian here?” Cabe had no choice but to turn to Hudson for help. “Dad, say something!”

“Do you have any shame, causing this mess yourself?” Hudson’s face was practically red with embarrassment from his son.

But, for the sake of the family’s reputation, Hudson stepped up to Christian, trying to smooth things over. “Chris, I heard you’ve been busy with work. Why didn’t you let us know you were coming back? I’m sorry for the trouble today; I’ll have this little brat apologize to you later. But about what happened…”

Christian shot Hudson a cold glance before taking Arleta’s hand in his.

The two stood together, looking like the perfect couple, as if he were the real groom today.

“Arle, call for your brother,” Christian said softly.

“Hello, brother! And hello to my nephew, too.” Arleta greeted Hudson and Cabe with newfound grace, totally different from her earlier self.

“Arleta, have you lost your mind?!” Cabe was mortified, “Do you even know who he is?”

“I don’t know, but I know you’re not worth much,” Arleta shot back.

Christian was clearly pleased with his sharp-tongued fiancée, and he smiled. He turned to Hudson, still standing there, and asked, “Brother, are you staying to be the best man for us?”

Hudson’s face was no better than Cabe’s. He tried to convince Christian to stop causing trouble, but Christian’s reply left Hudson speechless.

Then, about a dozen men in black suits came in, led by Owen, Christian’s assistant.

Owen expertly got the security to restore order, and after escorting Cabe and Hudson off the stage, Christian and Arleta remained there, standing as the center of attention.
