Althea's POV.

Finishing the dishes, I had to grab a load of laundry downstairs, I know my dad is down there with his friends, but I don't want to wait. I slowly make my way down to the smoke-filled poker game, I can tell one of them is getting feisty, he is either losing his ass off since my dad is a good poker player or there is a cheater either way I tried to ignore it.

“You cheat'n?” one snarled throwing the table over, the money and chips all over the place.

“Calm down Aiden.” my father growled. “You know I don't have nothing to hide, I don't need to cheat against you.” he cackled. “You just suck.”

“I suck?” he snarled pulling a gun out and throwing my father on the floor putting the gun near his mouth, I am frozen I don't know why I cannot move. “How about this, if I find a card on you, I take her,” he said glancing at me. “If you're not lying then I am the sour loser you claim I am.”

It didn't take him long, he found cards in my father's pocket. I went to try and run away but one of his friends was there, he grabbed me forcing me against his chest. “I guess you've been cheating all this time. Guess your bet with me is valid, you lose.”

“What's her name?” he said getting to his feet. “Since we're going to be spending some time together before I kill her.”

“She won't ever talk to you.” my father said wanting to get up but he didn't move.

“Oh I can get her to talk,” he said coming over to me; he grabbed me by my throat. I flinched and then he noticed the scars on my neck. “Damaged eh?”

“She's mute.” my father said getting to his feet. “Leave her alone, she is no use to you!” he snapped coming closer but Aiden turned to face him.

“Doesn't matter, it means she won't be able to scream when I torture her,” he said turning to face me. “Take her to the house.” That was the last thing he said before I was forced outside and into the back of an SUV.

I tried to get out of the other side, but I was forced back inside and the man forced a seat belt around me. “Safety first.” he mused. “Go.” he snapped at the driver.

We drove into the city, and then out and into the woods. When we got to where I think we were staying, there was a gate and some armed guards. I guess this makes sense since he's a mobster. I don't know what he plans to do to me, but I know if I don't get away from him he is going to kill me.

I didn't think my father was a cheater but he got caught, I wish I didn't go downstairs when I did but he's never done this so I don't even know how I am feeling. I mean I am scared and have to figure out how to get away from this guy even if I get lost in the forest I am still getting out of here.

“Don't try and run you won't like what comes after you,” he said unbuckling my seatbelt, forcing me out.

I tried to run again, but he was faster.

“I see you are going to be one of those,” he said dragging me towards the house. “When Aiden gets back I am sure he is going to have some fun with you,” he said tossing open a door and pushing me inside. “Don't make me run, I haven't had breakfast and I am hungry,” he warned.

I sat down, looking around it's some kind of office. It's decent-sized, and kind of messy.

Two hours later.

“Sorry love.” the aide said when he walked in with two others. “I thought that wasn't going to happen today, but hey I got a new toy,” he said coming over to me. “Your father didn't want to tell me anything about you, but I got your name at least. Althea,” he said smirking at me.

I looked away.

He grabbed my chin forcing me to look at him. “You belong to me, and if you get out of line I will kill you,” he said letting me go. “Dante needs to burn the bar down tonight,” he said walking back over to the door. “Watch her, I will be back, we're going to have some fun tonight.”

“Sounds like you're going to a party.” the man who brought me here said coming around the desk. “You are actually kind of hot, I might have to take you for myself,” he said touching my face but I slapped his hands away.

“You better not do that to Aiden he likes control.”

I rolled my eyes.

“That I do,” Aiden said coming back into the office and grabbing my arm pulling me closer to him. “I guessed your size, you better behave tonight or I won't be happy,” he warned. “I am Aiden Alpha of this pack and if you play your cards right I might keep you alive, purely for my enjoyment though, I will never love you.”

Tears formed in my eyes, but I forced them away, I looked away from him.

“That's okay, I am glad you cannot talk,” he said pushing me into the other man. “Derek make sure she is ready, and bring extra in case she tries something.”

“Yeah, yeah,” he said forcing me out of the office and into a room. “Change, you have three minutes. If you are not changed I am going to come in here and tear your clothes off of you, and who knows what else I might do,” he warned. “Two minutes.”

Looking around the room, I wanted to escape and I knew if I got away then there was a chance I was going to be caught, but then again if I didn't get caught it's even better. Rushing over to the window, I force it open and look at the door thinking it was loud but it's still closed.

I climb out the window and make it to the ledge before Derek comes to the window. “You are going to regret it,” he growled climbing out the window, I jumped down and ran the same way we came when we got here.

Glancing to my side, a huge wolf came at me. He doesn't look friendly, I lose my balance hitting the floor. The wolf came to a stop, and then another one appeared.

“Well,” Aiden said catching up to me. “I guess I am going to have to watch you a little more closely,” he said forcing me to my feet his eyes flickered. “Don't make me start my process before you die.” he sighed. “I don't like killing girls, and you are too pretty to die, but you are pushing me.” he snapped. “Do this again, and I beat you until I hear you scream.” he mused. “I will make you scream.”

I frowned at him.

He pulled me closer. “I will hear your voice.” he mused. “I promise,” he said forcing me back to the house. “Change of plans, we're not going anywhere,” he said forcing me into the office. “Althea got herself grounded,” he said pushing me down in the chair. “Stay.” he snapped.

I couldn't help but notice Aiden is buff, he has a huge tattoo of a wolf on his back, and another one on his arm but it's more of two wolves kissing. Shaking my head, he still has his back turned to me, I don't know what he is doing but his hands are moving like he's talking to himself.

I slowly get up, as soon as my hand touches the door handle, Aiden is there forcing the door closed, I spin around so I am facing him. His eyes are dark.

He put his hand on my throat but was careful about my scars. “You are pushing me, if I mark you, you are mine. I will be able to hear what you want from me.”

I roll my eyes.

“Ah.” he mused. “You have a lot of energy for being a mute, I could help you out,” he said, his breath hot on my neck. “I can smell you want it to, that's where I won't give in,” he said grabbing me around my throat this time. “You won't be able to run now,” he said pulling me away from the door as it opened.

“Alpha.” a man said coming in with a chain and a pair of handcuffs.

“Now,” he said forcing me to sit down. “Let's make this lesson number one, the next time you get punished I am going to put you with some of the smelliest creatures in the world, if that doesn't do anything, I will let them torture you,” he said handcuffing my wrists and connecting the chain the desk. “Relax,” he warned turning his back to me again. I made a small noise, he tensed up and I could tell he was smiling.

Althea's POV.

Being forced to this place, I had no idea my fate. I knew the darkness I saw in his eyes meant he wasn't kidding and I was going to die. I didn't know how my father got himself into this over a stupid game. I sighed making a sound louder this time. I could tell something was wrong since he kind of stood there for a moment before he reacted.

“So you can make sounds,” he said turning around and smirking. “You want to know why you are here over a stupid game right?” he said coming around the desk.

I nodded.

“Your father is in debt with my pack for over two million dollars, he bet you as a last-ditch effort to win this game.” he mused. “He thought a simple game of poker would wipe out two million?” he cackled. “I knew you were his only little girl since your mother died after that accident, you were his everything or so I thought.”

I frowned.

“I know your father is a douchebag, but hey I left him with a good beating as a reminder of why you don't throw such treasures away if you love them.” he smiled. “You paid his debt by me forcing you to come here. You won't ever escape me, I have wolves guarding the entire area, as well as armed guards. I am a powerful Alpha and you'll realize what that means.”

I roll my eyes.

“Oh you don't believe the story.” he mused. “Alright fine, you are here because your father arranged for me to marry you and I am expected to produce a grandchild within the first two years of being with you. How's that sound.”

I roll my eyes.

“Well then you are free to go,” he smirked. “Go ahead.”

I frowned at him. He grabbed my chin again. “I said you are mine and I meant it, you will die when I decide I am done playing with you. Could be tonight, or could be tomorrow.” I slapped his hand away. “You are feisty, better figure out how you want to be treated,” he said walking away from me.

I rubbed my chin where he dug his nails into my flesh. I didn't show him it hurt, but it did. There was no blood which means he didn't want to hurt me. But I can feel his threat, and for some reason, I am not afraid of him.

A few hours later.

“Come on,” Aiden said picking me up, I was too tired to fight him. “Tomorrow I will show you around,” he said laying me in a bed. “Dont try and get out of this room, the window is bolted,” he said touching my face. “Good night,” he said before closing the door.

He left the handcuffs on but took the chain off which was nice. I don't know what tomorrow is going to bring but I am going to try and get out of here. Yeah, he might have this place guarded but there has to be a way out of here. I don't know why I am here really, he gave me two different stories and I don't know which one to believe.

Part of me believes he would use me as some kind of trick to win, but why would he do that and have to cheat to do it? He should have known what was going to happen if he got caught. Maybe he thought he was good, but in reality, it was all a scam.

Morning peaked around and I stayed in bed, I wasn't sure if the door was locked I was sure it was.

“Good morning.” a man said coming in. “I am Beta Kyle.” he said bowing.”Alpha Aiden wants me to bring you to his office since he wasn't sure you didn't escape.”

I roll my eyes and show him my wrists.

“Ah yeah he said that is for my protection.” he mused as I followed him out to the hallway. “You want to freshen up right? The bathroom is in there,” he said motioning for my hands. “He has the house locked down so if you try and escape it will fail,” he warned pushing the door open. “Aiden's office is on the second floor, you have twenty minutes.”

Twenty-two minutes later.

The door is forced open and I am sitting on the sink. I smirk when I see Aiden and Kyle.

“You think you are funny?” Aiden growled forcing himself into the bathroom, his forehead matched mine. “You are going to regret pushing me,” he warned.

I shrugged my shoulders.

Kyle kind of cackled. “She is your mate, I've never seen you flustered by a female before.” he giggled again. “I like her already even if she cannot order me around.”

“Not helping Beta.” he snapped. “Come,” he said forcing me out of the bathroom.

I decide to try my luck, I run from them. I heard a growl and someone laugh, I was out the front door faster than I thought I would be. As I got closer to the gate, I was forced down by Aiden, this time he was naked.

“Well.” he mused. “Like what you see?” he said stepping over. “I warned you, now you are going to see a side of me that I don't like showing unless I am provoked.”

I cover my eyes.

His cock was big, and his body was pulsating from having to chase me. I don't know why he lost his clothes but it's a little weird.

“Did it take you long to show her?” Derek mused.

“She didn't see anything,” he growled. “Now shut up,” he growled forcing me into his office. “Sit.” he snapped still naked. He used the same chain to keep me there, then he left the office to get clothes I am guessing.

“You have him spinning.” Derek mused sitting at the desk in front of me. “You are going to be the reason he becomes the Alpha he needs to be.”

I shook my head.

“You have no idea what any of this is do you?” he mused. “Well it's going to be shocking when Aiden reveals everything to you, and we show you a whole new world.”

“She isn't going to see it,” Aiden said annoyed. “Don't make me hurt you, I don't want to put you in the cells. The fact you thought it was funny to run away from me while being two feet away,” he said annoyed. “Maybe I should put you in the cells, it might calm you down.”

“Or take her to your bedroom and break her out of her shell.” Derek mused.

“Quiet.” his eyes did some kind of funny flicker. “Rogues we need to go. You cannot go anywhere so stay here.” he mused touching my face. “There is a threat we'll be back.”
