Synopsis

As Rossi's intense gaze locked onto mine, his voice softened yet dripped with desire as he confessed, "I've wanted you for so long Aurora. Every moment without you feels like an eternity, and now that you're here, I can't hold back anymore." My heart raced at his words, his honesty igniting a fire within me. "Rossi," I whispered, my voice barely audible above the pounding of my own pulse, "tell me... tell me what you want to do to me." His lips curled into a seductive smile as he leaned in closer, his breath warm against my skin. "I want to explore every inch of your body, to memorise every curve and every contour," he murmured, his voice husky with desire as he traveled down my body with his fingers.. "I want to taste you, to feel you quiver beneath my touch as I trace every sensitive spot with my lips." My cheeks flushed as his words sent shivers down my spine. "And then what?" I dared to ask, my own desire growing with each passing moment. Rossi's dark eyes burned with intensity as he continued, his voice low and hypnotic. "I want to make you lose control, to hear you moan my name as I bring you to the edge of ecstasy and beyond. I want to make you mine in every sense of the word, to show you the depths of passion that only we can explore together." I swallowed hard, feeling a surge of longing coursing through my veins. "Show me Rossi," I breathed, unable to resist the pull of his magnetic presence. "Show me what it means to truly surrender to desire." “My Dangerous Mafia Boss" is a captivating tale of love, passion, and redemption set against the backdrop of a dangerous underworld.

Chapter 1 | My Dangerous Mafia Boss

Aurora.

“Don’t tell me you don’t know who Rossi Romano is?”

“I know he’s wealthy and he’s my new boss,” I answer matter of factly.

“You don’t know what you’re getting into, girl. I advise you quit before you even start.”

“I need the money, Emilia, you know that. Besides I’m only working as his personal assistant, nothing more.”

“Have you questioned how he has so much wealth and power? The rumours are true you know, Rossi Romano is a powerful and dangerous mafia boss,” here we go again with this!

“I think he’s just a powerful and successful business owner, now enough of that.” I dismissed “What do you think of my outfit?” I angle the camera so she can see my full outfit clearly and await her verdict.

“You look gorgeous as always, love the way you styled your hair,” she compliments and I smile “Thank you, Emilia, I’ve got to go now, don’t want to be late for my first day.”

“Alright, don’t want them to have your head on a gold platter for not respecting their time, I’d hate to lose you that way,”

“That’s not going to be happening, talk to you later.”

“Alright, have a great first day, lots of luck, you’re going to need it.”

“Love you,” I chuckle as I end the call. Trust Emilia to be dramatic as always.

I stare at myself in the mirror one last time, grab my bag and keys and leave my apartment. The call with Emilia took longer than I estimated and I hope it is a smooth ride to the mansion because I'd hate to be late on my first day of working for Mr Romano. I start the long drive to the Romano estate, I’m not going to lie, I’ve heard the rumours as well and they scare me but I’ll rather not judge and believe them not unless I see it for myself and hopefully I don’t get to see anything because they will just be plain rumours.

The security at the gate is more stringent than expected, there are three able bodied men at the gate and I can see the guns in their pockets. Why do they even need those? I’m sure it’s nothing, they are just bodyguards, it’s normal I guess.

“Who are you miss and what are you looking for in the Romano’s estate?” He speaks so politely I am surprised because I thought he was going to be one of those rude bodyguards.

“Good morning, I’m Aurora Mateilli and I’m here to start my job as Mr Romano’s personal assistant,” I answer as sweetly as I can.

“Oh, Mateilli, we were informed of your arrival, ID please,”

I reach out for my wallet and present my ID, he glances at it and signals to the others to let me through.

“Thank you.”

As the estate gates spring open, a cobblestone path leads through the manicured lawns, The centrepiece of the estate is a magnificent villa, a harmonious blend of stately Renaissance and charming rustic elements. Expansive terraces wrapped around the villa, offering panoramic views of the estate's vineyards and olive orchards. The vineyards stretched like a patchwork quilt, their orderly rows bursting with clusters of grapes that would one day yield the estate's prized wines. Beyond the vineyards, the olive trees stood in dignified rows, their silver-green leaves shimmering in the breeze. The villa looks sophisticated and modern and not ancient like I had imagined.

I park my car and quickly step out straightening my outfit, I have two minutes left or else I’d be late and the thought of my head being on a gold platter is not very flattering. The problem now is I don’t know where to go or turn to so I decide to ask the bodyguards around the big door.

“Good morning, I’m here for the job as Mr Romano’s assistant.” I say confidently and he stares at me blankly.

The door opens and a strikingly beautiful young lady with honey brown hair comes out and I recognize her instantly, she is Isabella Romano, the sister to my boss, she’s the one that conducted the online interview and gave me the job.

“Aurora, it’s so good to see you, we’ve been waiting for you,” she gives me a warm hug and I am quite shocked at how friendly and jovial she is.

“Nice to finally meet you, Miss Isabella,” I say as she steps back and she laughs.

“We’re the same age. Call me Bella, everyone calls me that,”

“Okay, ma’am,” I say and she frowns but smiles immediately.

“Well, you’ll get used to it as time goes on, come in.”

I step into the mansion and the interior of the Italian estate seamlessly blended centuries-old elegance with modern luxury, creating a harmonious fusion of history and contemporary design. Upon entering, a grand foyer welcomed guests with its soaring ceilings adorned by a dazzling crystal chandelier that cast prismatic patterns across the marble floors below.

Rich mahogany panelling adorns the walls, interspersed with expansive windows that flood the space with natural light. The furniture is a symphony of classic silhouettes upholstered in sumptuous fabrics, carefully curated to exude sophistication while offering comfort. Plush velvet sofas and intricately carved chairs provided inviting seating arrangements, inviting conversations and relaxation.

“This place is magnificent,” I comment.

“Thank you, it has been passed down to generations, we recently just renovated the house after my father passed.”

“Oh, sorry about that,” I had no idea their father died recently.

“No worries, it’s been six months now, we’re getting used to it. Come along I’ll show you around.”

She takes me along the east wing of the house and I follow obediently trying not to stare too long at the beautiful artworks that adorned the house.

“This is where you are going to be spending most of your time as this is where Rossi’s office is.” She opens a door that reveals a small space with a minimal desk set up. “This is going to be your workspace and that is Rossi’s office”

She points to another big door that leads to Mr Romano’s office and I acknowledge it. “Quick tip, don’t go to his office unless he calls for you, always knock, mind your business and don’t speak unless spoken to,”

“Noted ma’am.” It will be easy for me to follow since they are things I already do.

“Great. Do that and you shouldn’t get into any form of trouble. Get comfortable, Rossi is going to be here in a few minutes. Did you have breakfast this morning?”

“No, I didn’t,” I answer curtly.

“Okay, sit tight. I’ll get the chef to make you something.” She walks away and I go to sit on the chair. There’s a laptop on the table and some writing materials and other office supplies.

My phone dings and it’s a text notification from Emilia.

'Hey, did you get there safe? How is it going so far, have you met the boss, are you still alive?'

I chuckle at her question and proceed to reply to her, that is until I feel cold metal pointed at my head. A chill runs down my spine, my senses sharpening as an unmistakable feeling of danger grips me. My heart pounds, and without fully comprehending why, I turn my head to the side.

And there it is—a gun pointed directly at my head. Time seems to slow, the world around me narrowing to a pinpoint focus on that deadly object. My breath catches in my throat as I lock eyes with the figure holding the gun.

Chapter 2 | My Dangerous Mafia Boss

Aurora.

The grandeur of the ornate office was momentarily overshadowed by the tension that hung heavy in the air. My heart pounded in my chest, as I faced the enigmatic man that held the gun. His sharp gaze locked onto me, a piercing intensity that sent shivers down my spine.

"Who are you?" he demanded, his voice low and laced with a dangerous edge. The words were accompanied by the ominous click of a safety being released, and I instinctively tensed, my eyes narrowing on the gun he held in his gloved hand.

I held my hands up in a gesture of surrender, my voice steady despite the racing of my pulse. "My name is Aurora. I’m here for the job as your new assistant."

The man's features remained inscrutable, his expression unreadable as he studied me. His dark eyes flickered with a mix of suspicion and calculation, the gun still trained on me. I couldn't help but notice the aura of power that surrounded him, the way his presence dominated the room even in the face of uncertainty. Tall and impeccably dressed, his tailored suits seemed to cling to his broad shoulders and lean frame as if they were designed for him alone. His raven-black hair was meticulously styled, the dark waves adding an aura of sophistication to his rugged features. His piercing eyes were a shade of deep, intense black—eyes that seemed to see through pretences and into the heart of the matter. There was a sharpness to his gaze as he stared right at me.

"You have two minutes to convince me that you're not an imposter," he declared. "Start talking."

His voice was a low, commanding rumble that brooked no argument, each word spoken with a measured weight that demanded attention. I took a deep breath, my mind racing to find the right words. "I was interviewed by Miss Isabella and I got the job. She told me to resume here today."

The man's grip on the gun didn't waver, but a flicker of recognition crossed his features. “Isabella?"

I nodded, my gaze unwavering as I held his gaze. "Yes, she showed me my office and told me to wait here.”

The seconds ticked by in tense silence, the weight of his scrutiny almost suffocating. I tried to remain calm, to project an air of confidence despite the unnerving circumstances. Finally, the man lowered the gun slightly, his features relaxing just a fraction.

"Put your hands down," he instructed, his voice losing some of its edge. "But make no mistake, if you're lying to me, I won't hesitate to pull this trigger."

I lowered my hands slowly, my heart still racing as the gun's barrel lowered. The danger had not completely dissipated, but a glimmer of hope began to blossom within me.

As if on cue, the office door swung open, Isabella’s familiar face. Her presence brought a palpable sense of relief, and I saw a subtle shift in the man's demeanour—a fraction of tension easing from his shoulders.

"Rossi, this is Aurora,” Isabella announced, her tone respectful and professional. "She's here for the assistant position, I told you about it and sent you her file yesterday.."

The man's gaze shifted between us, his fingers finally releasing the grip on the gun as he kept it in his back pocket. I heaved a sigh of relief as the gun was no longer in sight.

"Very well, to my office Bella," he said, his tone measured, I could tell he was resisting the urge to shout at her. Was I going to be fired before the job even began or would I quit before I even started?

He walks away into his office and Isabella flashes me an apologetic smile. “So sorry about that, I should have waited to introduce you to him, that’s my brother Rossi the man you will be working for.”

I nod my heart still racing from the encounter. Can I really work for him? What if I make a mistake while doing something? Will my head really be on a platter?

“Here, I got you breakfast,” she drops a tray of coffee and muffins that I hadn’t even realised that she was holding.

“Thank you,” I say softly while still trying to catch my breath. I don’t think I’ll be able to eat this though.

“Don’t worry you’ll be fine.” She flashes me another warm smile, pats my shoulder and walks into her brother’s office.

I couldn't shake the feeling that my first day on the job had taken a far more unexpected turn than I had ever anticipated. The danger of the mafia world had suddenly become all too real, can I really do this?

I get another notification from Emilia and I open it Hey, are you still there? Don’t tell me they murdered you already. If I don’t hear from you soon I’m calling the police Oh if only she knew how close I came to my death. I couldn’t possibly narrate all that just happened now because she would tell me that she told me so and tell me to quit and I also feared the consequences of telling her what just happened.

My hands shake as I start to type a message. I quickly reply to her telling her that I am fine, in one piece and everything is going just fine which is clearly a lie because nothing about this is fine. What type of boss points a gun at his employee on the first day? A mafia boss! my subconscious screams at me. Could he really be a mafia boss, are all the rumours true and if it is, what the hell have I gotten myself into?
