Synopsis

Five years ago, Debby Miller was kicked out of her family by her stepfather because of a baby who appeared out of nowhere. Now, armed with a child of her own, she has returned as the rightful heiress of the Brown Family. Unexpectedly, her brother Simon Brown came to her, “Are you truly my little sister? I had expected you to be a beauty. Well, you are no match for Betty!” Debby never thought of coming back to reclaim what was rightfully hers. However, she simply couldn't bear the incessant mocking from her own blood brother. She sneered, took her phone, and then sent a message. Five minutes later, Simon received a report, “Mr. Brown, JK sent you a message back.” Simon was delighted and immediately asked, “What did JK say? Did JK say he would help me?” “No... JK said he would not give you a hand unless he saw the live stream of you singing the song Sorry for consecutive three days.”

Chapter 1 Cut the Ties and Leave | Return of the True Lady

At the residence of the Warren family in the city of Domen

(Baby crying...)

It wasn’t even eight o’clock in the morning yet when Debby was awakened by a baby’s cry.

Having barely slept last night, she glanced sideways at the baby next to her and got up to prepare something to eat for the baby.

The baby fell asleep after her stomach was filled.

Debby was just about to lie down when her foster father, Boris Warren, came in angrily.

Her stepmother, her stepsister, and the others followed closely behind him.

A slap across the face!

Boris angrily slammed a paternity test result hard on Debby’s face, then glared at her fair and cool face and said, “It is 99.99% possible that you are your daughter’s biological mother. Now what else do you have to say?”

Debby let the report slide off of her face and said, “Believe it or not, I’ve never given birth to a child.”

Three days ago was Debby’s 19th birthday, and the only birthday gift she received was a baby who was recently born and a printed letter that said the baby was her biological daughter.

Then, she did three paternity tests, and all results showed the baby was her biological daughter. But she didn’t have a boyfriend, sleep with any man, donate her eggs, let alone get pregnant, or give birth to a child. This baby appeared out of nowhere.

“All the evidence is conclusive and you still deny it. How can I have such a shameless daughter like you? You disgrace the whole Warren family, you shameless bastard. William, get that little bastard on the bed and throw it away.”

Boris’ last words were addressed to the housekeeper William in the Warren family.

“I’ll cut off the arm of anyone who dares to touch the baby!”

Debby’s voice was not loud, as if she had said it casually, but there was a fierce look with her brows. She didn’t seem to joke.

She had a slender body, fair and smooth skin, and delicate and beautiful features. At the age of nineteen, she exuded a chillingly dangerous aura, as if she were the god of death.

Although Debby and the little girl on the bed had only been together for a few days, maybe it was because motherly love is a woman’s nature, or because she had an indescribable feeling of affection when she first saw the little girl, or because of the fact that the baby’s face resembled hers, Debby felt connected to the baby.

William looked at Debby, who showed an appalling aura and didn’t dare to step forward.

Boris was also startled by Debby.

After he came back to his senses, he pointed at Debby and said furiously, “How dare you!”

The baby cried.

The little girl in the bed was awakened.

Debby turned his head to look at the baby and then leaned down to pick her up.

The little girl behaved well. The moment Debby picked her up, she stopped crying.

Boris looked irritated, “Before twenty, you had a bastard with another man. You are a slut...”

“Watch your language,” Debby’s eyes sharply looked at Boris, “Since you can’t tolerate this little girl, there’s no need for me to stay in this Warren family anymore.”

“What do you mean?” Boris asked.

“She has to marry that old man with three dead wives from the Johnson family as my substitute, so she can’t leave,” Jessie Warren, Debby’s step-sister who hadn’t uttered a word, hurriedly stopped Debby.

Debby’s eyes coldly look at her stepsister, “What right you have to ask me to marry a man that you look down upon? Why should I be your substitute?”

“What do you... mean by saying that? Are you belittling me? Dad, Mom, you should tie up this ungrateful woman and beat her up hard,” Jessie said with an angry face.

“I haven’t practiced my fighting skills for a long time. It just so happens that my hands are itchy. Are you guys going to come to me one by one, or together?”

“You..., you are an ungrateful daughter. Do you want to fight with your father?” Boris angrily asked.

“That’s because you want to hurt me first.”

After saying this, Debby held the baby in her arms and headed out of the bedroom.

Seeing that Debby was about to leave, Anna Warren, Boris’ wife, thought of something. She smiled smugly and said, “You can leave, but you must pay back the money your father had spent on you in one go. Otherwise, you are not allowed to set foot outside the Warren Family’s door.”

Debby was adopted by the Warren family, or to be precise, by her foster mother, Julia Warren.

When Debby was five months old, Julia passed away.

Less than a month later, Boris married Anna.

Anna came to the Warren family with her four-month-old daughter Jessie.

After Anna was married into the Warren family, Debby was left in the care of the servants.

Boris, though, did not care.

When Debby was ten years old, Anna urged Boris to send Debby to a rented house in the countryside, leaving Debby to take care of herself.

It was only when Debby was nineteen that Boris brought her back from the countryside at Anna’s urging, with the aim of forcing Debby to marry an old man in his sixties with three dead wives as Jessie’s substitute. It was a business marriage.

Debby took Julia’s surname Miller before Julia married Boris.

Jessie thought that Debby, who grew up in the countryside and never studied or worked, would not be able to give back the money to them, so she hooked her lips in a smile and said, “That’s right. If you want to leave, you have to pay back the money first.”

Debby turned to look at the Warren family, “I can give you money but you must sign a severance agreement and I will cut ties with you. Do you dare to sign it?”

“There is nothing to be afraid of. Instead, I am afraid you have no money to give. Are you really going to cut ties with the Warren family?” Jessie asked with a look of contempt.

Debby turned her gaze towards Boris and said, “As far as I know, you’ve spent less than a thousand dollars on me.”

Since Debby was ten years old, Boris had stopped taking care of her.

The milk powder and clothes she had before she was half a year old were bought by Julia before she married Boris, so in fact, it all had nothing to do with Boris.

“What do you mean by that? Who said that Father spent less than a thousand dollars on you? Even if it’s less than a thousand dollars, he is your father. The kindness of a drop of water should be repaid by a spring of water. You’re not related to Dad. If he hadn’t let you stay in the Warren family, you’d be dead now. You just pay back a thousand dollars? I’m telling you, it is impossible!” Anna said with a gloomy face.

Debby ignored Anna and stared at Boris, asking, “How much do you want ?”

Boris’s face looked very sullen.

He looked at Debby with a scornful face and opened his mouth with a bold demand, “One million dollars. You can not even pay a penny less.”

Jessie sneered and said with a mocking face, “Dad, look at her poor face. I’m afraid she can’t even give a hundred dollars. Would it be too much for her when you ask for a million? She might be pushed to death. We should be careful about that.”

Anna also had a mocking face.

She didn’t believe that an uneducated country girl could have a million dollars.

The bastard adopted by Julia can’t leave the Warren family, thought Anna.

Debby hooked her lips into a smile and responded, “Deal. Ask the lawyer to come. I won’t give a single penny to you without a lawyer present.”

Boris, Anna, and Jessie were very shocked when they heard this.

“What did you say?” The one who asked was Jessie, who thought she had heard it wrong.

“Ask a lawyer to come. I don’t want to repeat it again.”

...

Half an hour later, the lawyer arrived at the Warren family.

Debby and Boris signed the severance agreement in the lawyer’s presence before she transferred one million dollars to Boris in front of the lawyer.

Boris looked at his account information and was stunned.

So was Jessie and Anna.

The three of them couldn’t believe their eyes.

After Boris came back to his senses, he asked Debby, “Where did you get a million dollars?”

Debby ignored him and turned around with the baby in her arms, leaving without looking back.

“Mom, she left the Warren family. Who is going to marry that old man from the Johnson family for me?”

As soon as Jessie finished her words, Boris received a call from his assistant and he picked it up, “What is the matter?”

“Mr. Warren, the stock you bought yesterday made you lose nine hundred thousand dollars. It was supposed to be a quality stock.”

“What?” Boris was surprised.

Chapter 2 Save A little Boy At the Airport | Return of the True Lady

Five years later, at the airport.

“Mommy, this suitcase looks so heavy. You must be tired of pulling it, right? I’ll help you take it for a while.”

Debby looked down with a gentle gaze at her sweet daughter, “No need, Mommy isn’t tired. I will pull it myself.”

Five years ago Debby left the Warren family with her daughter and went abroad. She had just returned today. The reason why she came back was because she inadvertently learned that her adoptive mother Julia did not die a natural death.

What’s more, her baby girl Liz always asked who her father was since she was little. Since Debby hadn’t found out anything for five years abroad, she decided to come back to investigate how she had her daughter and who the mysterious man who had a baby with her five years ago was.

“Okay, but mommy, you should tell me when you are tired. I’m already five years old and can help you with a lot of things.”

Debby smiled and stroked her daughter’s head when she received a call from her assistant Christine.

“Boss, HELP! HELP!”

“What’s wrong?” Debby asked with a calm demeanor.

“I bought YH’s stock but that company encountered a big problem so now its stock price is falling sharply. I haven’t qualified it, so what should I do?”

“Withdraw the order, and add the positions, in order to raise the price,” Debby said calmly.

“Mommy, there’s a bad guy ahead.”

Debby heard Liz. She hung up the phone and then looked ahead.

Not far away a man wearing a black leather jacket and a black peaked cap was holding a black pistol with its muzzle pressed against the temple of a boy of about five years old.

The little boy had gallant brows and eyes, wearing a well-tailored black casual suit and a white t-shirt inside. He looked very handsome.

Although he, at such a young age, was being held hostage, his handsome face still showed childishness had a calmness that a child was not supposed to have.

“Don’t come over or I’ll shoot him,” The man holding the boy hostage said viciously to the several plainclothes policemen who were approaching him.

“Crazy Dragon, we’ve already cast a vast dragnet, and you won’t be able to escape. Hurry up release the hostage,” the leader of the plainclothes policeman said.

The man called Crazy Dragon backed up while still holding the boy hostage and shouted angrily, “Unless you let me go! Back off! All of you, back off! Or I’ll let this boy die with me.”

“Inspector Alfred, the identity of the hostage is checked out clearly. He is the young master of the Davis family. His father is Patrick Davis, the head of the Davis family, the top plutocrats in the country Hiltonsin. If anything bad happens to his son, you and I can’t afford the consequences even if we die 1,000 times,” Another plainclothes policeman whispered to his leader.

“Mommy, are you sure you can save that boy?” Liz raised her head and asked Debby.

At this moment, a group of all black-clothed bodyguards poured in at the airport exit.

Seeing this, Crazy Dragon tensed up.

“Don’t come over! All of you.”

After Crazy Dragon shouted this, he was ready to keep the boy hostage and escape.

Just as he made his first move, he was tapped on the shoulder by someone.

He subconsciously turned his head.

In the next second, the gun in Crazy Dragon’s hand was taken away, and a solid punch hit his left eye.

“Oh my...” Crazy Dragon subconsciously covered his left eye.

At that moment, the boy in his arms was snatched away, while the bad guy’s chest was kicked hard by a slender leg. His whole body was pushed out backward and fell to the ground.

The crowd around him was stunned.

They came back to their senses and raised their hands to applaud.

There was a burst of clap for a long time.

The one who had saved the boy was just Debby.

She was so agile and quick that the people around her didn’t see clearly how she got behind Crazy Dragon and how she snatched the gun from his hand.

Crazy Dragon was hit in a daze. When he climbed to his feet, he was very shocked to see that the person who saved the boy was a tall woman wearing an antique-style white shirt with flower patterns on the collar and a classic black embroidered skirt. She was wearing a high ponytail and a black mask.

A few plainclothes policemen came back to their senses and then rushed to catch Crazy Dragon.

“Mommy, you’re so great!”

Liz smiled as she ran to Debby.

“Didn’t you get frightened, did you?” Debby stared down at the beautiful boy in her arms and asked. She couldn’t help but soften her tone.

Although it was the first time she had met the boy, she had an indescribable feeling of affection for him.

This feeling was similar to when she first met Liz five years ago.

The boy was called Hiram who usually hated the touch of women other than his twin sister, a few aunts, and his great-grandmother.

Today was the first time he didn’t reject a strange woman.

This was because just now when Debby hugged him, he felt incredibly relieved and warm, even warmer than when his mom hugged him in his dreams.

Hiram stared earnestly at Debby for a few seconds before shaking his head, “No, I am not frightened. Thank you for saving me.”

“No problem,” Debby put Jeffery down.

Leaving the warm embrace, Hiram was a bit lost.

“Miss, I’m from the Drug Squad, and here’s my ID. Thank you for your help. The gun should be given to us,” A police officer stepped forward and said to Debby.

Debby didn’t say anything and handed the gun over to the police officer.

“Hiram!”

A familiar, low voice with a slight anger sounded behind him, and Hiram slightly furrowed his handsome eyebrows before turning around slowly.
