CHAPTER ONE: THE BOSS OF YOUR BOSS | THE BILLIONAIRE'S MISTRESS

"We are here, Miss."
The cab driver's voice brought Roxanne back to reality. She had been contemplating her decision to work in Club D'lux as a pole dancer.
"Here's your money." She stretched out a bill to the man who gladly took it.
Roxanne stepped out of the cab clutching her purse as a way of numbing her nervousness.
Two bulky muscled men in suits stood at the club's entrance. They had some sort of wire connected to their dark shades. Roxanne noticed the pods in their ears. She wondered if they had started as she couldn't hear loud music blasting from the insides.
Taking a deep breath, she walked up to the men.
"Hello, gentlemen." She greeted. One of the men looked her head to toe. She was dressed in free pants and a blue sweatshirt. Her golden hair was tied up in a messy ponytail.
"May I see your reservation card?" One of the men queried.
"Uh.. I don't have a reservation."
"Appointment?" The bulkier one asked.
"Yes, uh I have an appointment with Madam Loo." Roxanne tried her best to hide her nervousness.
"Name please?"
"Roxanne.. Roxanne Santos." The man made a quick call to confirm. After a few seconds of call conversations, he let her in.
There was the music blast she had been waiting to hear. The club was soundproof. There were masked waitresses putting on flashy colored bikinis and carrying trays of expensive wines from table to table. Some of the waitresses flirted with the customers.
Roxanne's eyes scanned the club for Madam Loo. She soon saw the lady sashaying towards her. Madam Loo wore her silky black hair in spring curls and was wearing a leopard print gown that had slit up to her thighs. The lady was voluptuous and had very bold makeup going on.
"Good evening, Madam Loo." Roxanne greeted the lady. Madam Loo looked at her dress, obviously disgusted by her appearance.
"You are right on time, Roxanne. Come, I'll take you to go get dressed." Madam Loo led her down to the dressing area. Other girls were getting dressed up.
"Freddy." Loo snapped her fingers twice and a lanky guy with a bizarre haircut came running. "Fix her hair and makeup and get her something to wear. She goes on stage in twenty minutes." Loo radiated an air of authority. Roxanne already made up her mind not to cross her feisty boss.
Freddy led her to an empty chair in front of a mirror and began to work his magic. He arranged her hair properly and gave her smoky eyeshadow and red lipstick. Roxanne couldn't recognize herself when he was done. She thought she looked like one of those foxy models that posed for magazines.
"That's the wardrobe, baby girl. Pick whatever suits you. Oh and here's your mask." Freddy handed her a pink mask. Roxanne wanted to ask why she needed a mask if she had makeup on but Freddy was whisked away by another female that had just arrived.
Roxanne stared at the large closet filled with exotic clothes. Having just five minutes left, she went for a pink swimsuit. The swimsuit held her chest firmly and had a thick rope in the center joining with a skirt. Her stomach, sides and back were bare. She donned her mask.
"Quit looking like a fairy princess and get set. You are up." One of the dancers who had just finished performing said to her. The club's emcee called on Roxanne as the fairy princess.
Roxanne was revealed on stage by an underground lift that took her upstage. Numerous eyes watched her. She gulped and took a deep breath as the song started.
She walked sexily around the pole for some seconds. Her eyes glanced at the crowd again and found a particular one smiling at her. She quickly averted her gaze and began dancing.
Jaxon stared at the amber contents of the brandy snifter and analyzed why he didn't want it.
He sipped. It was tasteless. He couldn't appreciate it any more than he wasn't ready to appreciate the seductive efforts of the lady with him. Loo's outfit could arouse any human male. She leaned in to kiss him, giving him ample view of her bosom.
"What's wrong?" She asked him as she began to go low on her knees to work his zipper. The booth had covers on the sides so no one knew what was going on.
He had no problems. He had money. Clothes. Cars. Women. Loo had a banging body and a crazy reputation in the city.
Jaxon's eyes stayed glued to the sexy pole dancer on stage. He had finally seen a body that could compete with Loo's. He could tell that the dancer was shy from the way she had first started.
Normally Loo's talented hands could stir him up in seconds. Tonight they just don't seem to work.
"I'm not in the mood, Loo." He said to her as he gently removed her hands from his pants. He wasn't in the mood or was he just in the mood for someone else? His eyes were still glued on the dancer. Loo immediately got up and kissed his lips.
"I'll be backstage with the girls, if you need me." She winked at him and walked out of the booth.
Roxanne got catcalls and claps as she rounded up her dance. She took a bow and went down the stage straight to the changing room.
"You were on fire, baby girl." Freddy said to her.
"Thank you."
Roxanne was left alone to change out of her clothes. Just as she took off her mask, someone approached her. He had blonde hair and was handsome.
"You performed really well, princess." He said as his eyes roamed her body.
"Thanks. I, uh have to change. Please excuse me, Sir." Roxanne tried to move but the man held her tightly.
"How about you give me a private show huh?" His mouth was close to her face and she could smell the alcohol in his breath. Roxanne pushed him backward but he came swiftly at her, his lips forcefully trying to claim hers. Roxanne pushed with all her might but he wouldn't budge. She kicked his groin which made him stagger backwards a bit.
"Ooh, I like them feisty." He came upon her again like a beast.
Roxanne found a pair of scissors and stabbed his hand with it.
"You slut!" He cursed and pulled her hair backward. Roxanne was anticipating his slap on her face but it didn't come. Instead, she heard groans and someone getting punched. Another man had come in and was punching the one who had tried to take advantage of her.
"You'll leave here this instant, you son of a bitch!" He shoved the man roughly.
"Your boss will hear about this." The abuser cursed before leaving the room.
"I'm so sorry about that." The man who had rescued her said to her.
Those eyes! Green and gold and black swirled together in a most unusual harmony- both dangerous and alluring. For a moment, she was lost in them.
"Thank you for saving me, Sir." She finally got her voice to speak.
"Pervs like him shouldn't be allowed in here." He replied with the sexiest smile she had ever seen. His phone began to ring as he spoke to her.
"But I'll sure be doomed if he carries out his threat of telling my boss I stabbed him. Madam Loo will surely evoke this job." Roxanne was beginning to worry.
The man picked up his phone and placed it on his ear, still smiling at her.
"That won't happen because I am the boss of your boss. Excuse me, Miss I've got to take this call." He gave her a smile and walked away speaking into the phone.
Roxanne couldn't believe what she had just heard. How can a sexy man dressed in a grey t-shirt, faded jeans and beanie be the boss of her boss?
CHAPTER TWO: REEKING OF INNOCENCE | THE BILLIONAIRE'S MISTRESS
↓
She could be a minor.
Probably some adventurous one wanting to test the waters. That's it. She's definitely a minor, she looked so young. So innocent and yet alluring.
No, he didn't think she was a minor. She had radiated that innocence but not like a minor or so he thought. Was he seeing things? Was it the situation he had found her in? Or was it a combination of both? Whatever it was, it sure had endeared her to him.
Jaxon stood at his penthouse veranda and gazed at the lights that never seemed to go out in Vegas as he sipped a bottle of cold beer. He chuckled softly as he remembered her surprised face when he had revealed that he was her boss. Her eyes had been as wide and round as saucers, her lush lips shaped into an O. Her golden-colored hair had been tied up in a bun, but he guessed that when let down it would fall to her shoulders. Perhaps a bit down to her back.
He knew any lady, whether minor or adult, would have leaned back and stretched, offering him an unrestricted view, striking a pose and smiling a smile calculated to tantalize and excite. She had managed to excite him either way, and he wanted to see her again.
Roxanne kept juggling staying with her Aunt Linda at the hospital to nurse her father and going to the club at night to perform. For countless nights, she would catch glimpses of the man who had claimed to be her boss. The fact that she had asked Freddy about it, and he had confirmed it was what shocked her.
He would smile at her and would occasionally wink at her. She felt naked under his gaze each time she caught him staring too hard. There was something about him that was pulling and endangering at the same time.
"Here you go, girlie." Freddy tossed her a can of water as she got off stage. Roxanne gulped the water pretty fast.
"Hi, there. Good evening." A petite red-haired lady approached her holding a bouquet of flowers.
"Good evening." Roxanne looked at the lady with the flowers.
"Someone asked to give you this." She handed her the bouquet.
"Who?" Roxanne examined the bouquet and the lady's smiling face.
"He didn't say. He just said to give it to you."
Roxanne collected the bouquet and examined it. A small note was tucked between the flowers. She opened the note and it read ;
"Nice waist chain. I love it. Lunch tomorrow by noon." The note also held the name of the restaurant where she was to meet this gifter.
"Secret admirer, already? Girl, I need me some of ya magic." Tessa, one of the girls she had gotten to like said to her as she walked past her. Tessa had a honey-brown skin tone and full hair.
"Those look expensive." She added as she eyed the flowers.
Roxanne's mind raced as she thought of who the sender could be.
She got ready the next day by noon and had chosen to wear a simple floral green dress that stopped just at her knee. Her hair was tied up in a tight bun.
The restaurant was exquisite and she had been shown a private table area after showing them the card as instructed by the sender. The area was secluded from the rest.
Roxanne didn't order anything. She waited for a few minutes but there was no sign of the said person. She took out her phone and began to text her aunt.
" Hello, there. Have you been waiting long?" Roxanne recognized the rich baritone. She looked up, her blue eyes meeting his hazel greens. She was sure his face had been tattooed on her brain after the first encounter.
Jaxon sat on a chair opposite her. His male scent and aura dominated everywhere. Even the air stopped around her. This man was a walking flame.
"You sent the flowers?" She asked him.
"Aren't you going to say hello to your boss first, Roxanne?" The name rolled out of Jaxon's tongue effortlessly. It sounded exquisite to her ears. She had never loved her name better.
"Um... Hello, Sir." Roxanne stuttered as his gaze stayed fixed on her with his half smile.
"Now that's better. How about we order something and talk about my proposal." He winked at her and raised his hand, motioning for a waiter.
"What proposal?" Roxanne asked as she eyed him. He was wearing a sweatshirt on jeans. Even casual looked classy on him, she thought.
" One that would benefit us both." He replied while placing orders for wine and salad. Roxanne ordered some salad too.
The waiter was fast with bringing their orders.
"What? You want me to be your mistress?" Roxanne couldn't believe his guts after he told her the details of his proposal.
"You sound like it's the end of the world, Roxanne. It's going to be beneficial, If you can go through the papers, you'll find that the terms are negotiable." Jaxon had a smirk plastered on his face. No lady had ever refused his offer. Roxanne's blue eyes scanned the papers.
"This is ridiculous, Mr Hearst, Sir. I can't live with you, I have my father to take care of. This is outrageous." Roxanne's face was turning red both from embarrassment and rage.
"Like I said, the terms are negotiable. I'll be paying you the same amount I pay my club workers every week. Think of how that would go a long way. I'll also cover your father's medical bills. I know he's in urgent need of a heart transplant." Roxanne was suddenly irritated.
"How do you know about my father?" She asked him with her eyebrow raised.
"Never mind that. Just think about it." He winked at her. Jaxon was getting impatient with her but he wasn't going to show it. He wanted her, and he was going to have her.
"Why do you want me? Why not some other person in the club?" Roxanne probed.
"Well, you tickle my fancy. You need me more than I need you." He replied with a smug. His arrogance seemed to annoy Roxanne more.
"When you do agree, I'd need to see your birth certificate."
"Whatever for?"
"Just to be sure you are not a minor." His eyes were boring into her now.
"I am twenty-four."
"Well, let's see that birth certificate when you finally decide." He gulped down the remnants of his wine. Jaxon saw Roxanne bite down on her lower lip in confusion. That innocent look that had reeled him in, was playing on her face again.
"You have fine lips, Roxanne. I'm sure they'd do wonders." He smiled mischievously. Roxanne's face flushed with embarrassment as she picked on the other meaning of his compliment.
" I hope you decide soon, Roxanne." He winked at her as he walked away from their lunch spot.
Roxanne looked around to see if anyone had been listening to their conversation and was satisfied to see that everyone seemed to be minding their own business. Grabbing her purse, she also left the restaurant.

Jaxon emerged from the pool. The night was fine. It only lacked one thing to make it perfect.
The woman.
Not Loo whose curvaceous body lay sprawled by the pool, inviting any man to have a bite.
The innocent one.
Her eyes rivaled the blue of the sea. Or was it the sky? Her lips looked sweet and her innocent eyes held a glint of stubbornness. She could not be rushed, but he was going to have her.
Roxanne had already made up her mind as she scattered her small apartment in search of her birth certificate and other documents he might need.
"All for Papa." She said to herself.
