Chapter 1 She Wants a Divorce | The Billionaire's Second Chance

A peaceful summer evening in Wealdstone.

Vivianne Anderson relaxed on the couch, engrossed in the news articles on her phone.

"Sean Richmond, the CEO of Riche Group, attended an official event with popular actress Emilie Houghton. They spent a night together at a hotel, and reporters captured their intimate moments ..."

This news quickly became a hot topic on the internet.

Vivianne adjusted her black-rimmed glasses and glanced at the news photos, showing no emotion.

Although the photo was blurry, readers could still discern a scene of a man and woman kissing by the window.

The man in the photo was Vivianne's husband, Sean Richmond, the heir to the wealthiest family in Wealdstone.

He was a highly esteemed individual who possesed the crucial economic foundation of Wealdstone.

Ridiculous!

Although they had been married for two years, Sean had never returned home.

Even on the day they were supposed to register for marriage, Sean didn't show up.

Rather than appearing in person, he dispatched his lawyer to complete the marriage registration formalities, providing the required documents.

Vivianne knew that Sean had always been reluctant to this marriage.

Sean married Vivianne only because Madam Richmond insisted.

Madam Richmond arranged Vivianne's marriage to the Richmonds out of gratitude to Vivianne's grandfather, who had saved her life. She hoped that Vivianne would have an easy and comfortable life.

Initially, Vivianne still had a sliver of hope for her marriage.

Unfortunately, Sean had been involved in a number of scandals with female stars in the past two years.

Viviane pursed her lips and pulled out her phone, her fingers hovering over the screen as she searched for Sean's contact information.

This was the first time she had reached out to Sean in two years.

Soon, the call was answered.

"Hello, I am Vivianne."

"Vivianne? Which Vivianne?"

The man's voice was deep and magnetic, but there was a hint of frostiness in his tone that made it all the more captivating.

Vivianne's lips curled into a sneer as she clutched her phone tightly.

It was truly remarkable that he had no memory of his wife's name.

"I am your legal spouse."

"It's you. Do you need something?"

The man's tone grew even colder.

Vivianne adjusted her glasses and calmly stated, "Let's get a divorce."

Vivianne's words fell like a bomb, leaving a deafening silence in the room.

Sean asked, "Are you sure about this?"

"Of course."

"What terms do you want to propose?"

"No need! Mr. Richmond, I'm not interested in your money or anything else you have to offer. I certainly don't want to share my husband with another woman. I've already signed the divorce papers. I'm taking nothing with me."

Vivianne said everything she needed to say in one breath, then hung up the phone.

Their marriage was nothing more than a contract, as they were essentially strangers to each other.

They were severing all ties and going their separate ways. They would have no further contact or communication.

Vivianne headed upstairs and took off her black-framed glasses, revealing her exquisite and stunning features.

Vivianne placed the divorce agreement, which she had prepared early that morning, on the coffee table and confidently left with her packed suitcase.

Riche Group.

The warm yellow light illuminated the entire CEO's office.

A man sat in the large armchair, dressed in plain white shirt and black pants. He exuded a noble aura that could not be concealed.

Sean glanced at his phone screen, a subtle sneer tugged at his attractive thin lips.

His nominal wife finally couldn't bear the loneliness and took the initiative to ask for a divorce!

A few seconds later, the sound of knocking echoed through the room. Sean's assistant, Lewis Grant, entered.

"Mr. Richmond, it is almost time for your appointment with Mr. Jones."

Sean nodded slightly and stood up, reaching for the coat draped over the back of the chair.

"Lewis, take down the hot search from today. And also ask the lawyer to help me with the divorce certificate."

Lewis was stunned.

The CEO, who was outwardly corrupt but inwardly virtuous, had been secretly instigating scandals in order to achieve his goals on this day.

Vivianne got in a car and went straight to the apartment she had bought herself.

This spacious apartment, located in the heart of the city, featured three bedrooms and two living rooms.

This highly sought-after neighborhood offered a wide range of amenities and conveniences.

After putting away her luggage, Vivianne stood in front of the giant French windows, taking in the dazzling night view outside, and pulled out her phone to call her best friend.

"Jane, I got divorced."

"What? Vivianne, you're divorced? That's amazing! Let's go out and celebrate your newfound freedom!"

"Okay."

Chapter 2 Sleep With Ex-Husband on the Day of Divorce | The Billionaire's Second Chance

Half an hour later.

Imperial Court Club.

This club was the most popular nightclub in Wealdstone.

It was a haven for powerful and wealthy businessmen to have fun and socialize.

The first floor was filled with ear-splitting, lively music.

Under the dazzling lights of the dance floor, bodies moved in sync, bathed in a sweat-soaked glow of joy.

Wearing high heels, Vivianne made her way up to the second floor and gave a light pat to the woman sitting at the table and sipping her drink while enjoying the spectacle below.

"Jane."

Janette Anworth was Vivianne's best friend. She had a sweet and dainty round face.

"Come here, my darling, let me comfort you with my embrace."

Janette gave Vivianne a quick hug and a peck on the cheek.

Vivianne chuckled and shoved the woman aside, then poured herself a drink.

"Vivianne, do you think your husband is foolish to neglect such a beautiful and accomplished woman like you in favor of seeking excitement elsewhere?"

Janette clinked her glass with Vivianne's, her expression tinged with regret.

Vivianne took a sip of her drink, her smile radiant. "He's a fool," she said simply.

Sean probably thought Vivianne was a typical country girl, plain and unrefined.

He had no idea ...

"Ms. Anderson, if he doesn't appreciate you, there are plenty of other men who will."

Janette hugged Vivianne tightly and said, "You're divorced and have never been with a man? If you say that out loud, people will laugh at you. I know a lot of great guys. What kind are you interested in? I'll set you up with someone today."

Vivianne didn't know what to say.

How much did Janette think Vivianne wish to be eaten by a man?

"Don't be ridiculous, let’s just drink. I'm focused on my career now."

"I admire women who are ambitious and driven. Vivi, I'd love to spend the rest of my life with you."

"Please stop joking, if we really live together then your possessive brother will chase me with a sword."

Janette was stunned into silence.

Lost in conversation, the two friends drank more than they realized.

With a tug, Janette pulled Vivianne to the dance floor. But Vivianne excused herself to go to the restroom first, feeling a bit too full.

Seeing a maintenance sign on the second-floor restroom door, Vivianne headed to the third floor instead.

All of the club's rooms were located on the third floor.

The wooden floor was covered by soft carpets, which were comfortable to walk on.

The liquor had taken hold and Vivianne found herself struggling to stay upright. Her legs felt like jelly and her body tilted alarmingly to the side.

Just as Vivianne was losing her balance, the door of the nearby private room burst open, sending her sprawling to the ground.

The private room was illuminated by a faint, flickering light.

The only noise in the room was the soft sound of water running.

Vivianne's head felt like it was spinning as she slowly got up from the ground, preparing to leave.

Just as Vivianne was about to leave, the room door swung open. Suddenly, a man grabbed her from behind, slamming her against the wall with an iron-like grip.

"Who are you? How dare you conspire against me?"

The man's voice was harsh and aggressive, but with a hint of suppressed desire.

The abrupt collision temporarily dispelled the dizziness in Vivianne's head.

This man was ... Sean!

"No, it's not me."

"If you didn't sneak in, then how did you gain access to this room?"

In the darkness, the man's breath grew heavy, as if he was fighting against something inside of him.

"I accidentally walked into the wrong room. Please let me go ..."

Vivianne's eyes widened in shock as the man suddenly kissed her, her hands struggling to push him away.

"I need your help, and I will compensate you "

Vivianne was struck silent.

Despite just signing divorce papers, she found herself back in the arms of her ex-husband.

After a wild night, Vivianne woke up the next morning feeling like she was falling apart, her body aching and sore.

A soft breeze caressed the delicate curtains, and the soft light illuminated the man's handsome, peaceful visage as he slept soundly.

Vivianne's gaze lingered on the man's handsome face for two seconds before she forced herself out of bed, enduring the aches and pains that plagued her body.

She had only just filed for divorce yesterday, and yet she had already slept with him that same evening.

This cold and arrogant man must have believed she was pathetically attempting to hold onto him in this way.

She couldn't care less!

Vivianne clenched her jaw, quickly dressed, and slipped out of the room silently.

A few moments later, the door of the room diagonally across from her slowly creaked open.
