Jaime Scott, a powerful businessman, was driving to his office on Tuesday morning. He had a meeting to attend. At just 24 years old, Jaime had accomplished what businessmen in their sixties weren't able to accomplish.
He looked at himself in the side mirror and smiled. He was a very handsome man with deep blue eyes and sandy blonde hair.
His telephone rang and he checked the caller before picking up the phone. It was his fiancée, Laura Davilla.
"Babe," he said when he picked up the phone "Good morning," Laura greeted, "Where are you?"
"On my way to the office. Is there a problem?"
"No, not at all. I just want to remind you about tonight's dinner."
"It's on my mind."
"Okay. I will see you later in the evening."
"Alright. Love you."
"I love you too," Laura said back.
As he was about to drop his phone, he lost control of the car and he hit another car that was coming from the opposite direction.

Olivia was on her way to her daughter's school because the headmistress had called yesterday to ask Olivia to stop by.
After receiving the call, she had carefully asked her seven-year-old daughter, Kylie, if anything had happened to her at school but the girl gave her no good answer.
Being an alcoholic, Olivia wasn't happy about the headmistress’ call because she knew that she had to be sober enough for the meeting.
The next morning, Olivia left in her old Volkswagen and headed to her daughter's school.
Five minutes away from Kylie's school, Olivia saw a Range Rover speeding towards her from the opposite direction. She tried to avoid it, but she noticed it at the last second. While gripping her steering wheel forcefully, she lowered her head, closed her eyes and waited for the collision.
Olivia gritted her teeth together in pain and anger towards the mad man that almost killed her. When she was strong enough, she opened the car door and stepped out.
As Jaime was walking toward the other car, he felt sorry for the old Volkswagen whose bonnet was ruined because of his mistake.
Jaime stopped in his track when the car door opened. A young woman, who Jaime suspected was a similar age as him, stepped out of the car and started walking toward him angrily.
"Wait, what!?" Jaime thought when he saw who was walking toward him. His face changed from pity to shock to surprise within microseconds but before he could say what was on his mind, the young woman yelled.
"What were you thinking!? You almost got me killed, motherfucker!" Olivia said angrily. "If you want to die, die alone. Stop getting people involved in your miserable life! You're…"
"Livia," Jaime called.
Olivia stopped talking upon hearing her name and looked at the man's face. Jaime smiled at her and expected her to recognize him but nothing like that showed on her face.
"You are a madman! I'm talking to you about you almost getting me killed and…"
Jaime was disappointed but he still wanted her to know who he was. He cut her off and said, "Livia, it's me…"
"I don’t know who you are, or who you think I am, but I’m not Livia. I'm Kylie," she lied. Kylie was her daughter's name, and it was the first thing that came to her mind. She turned and started heading back to her wrecked car. Jaime ran toward her and gripped her wrist.
"You're bleeding," he said worriedly.
Olivia touched her forehead and saw blood. She didn't realize that she was bleeding until he told her.
"I know. Thank you but I have to go now."
"You need to see a doctor," Jaime said.
"I will get one myself. Thank you."
"Wait. We need to call 911. We need to inform them about what happened."
"I'm a very busy woman and I don't have time to call 911 because of your stupid mistake. You can do that yourself." Olivia jerked her hand out of his grip.
She marched to her car, got back in, and started the car. Thankfully, the car worked, and she drove off without giving Jaime a second look.
Jaime was sure the woman was Olivia and he wanted to follow her. but he couldn't because he was needed in his office.

Eight Years Ago Dermot Owen’s life has been miserable since the second he was born. He has never been shown love by his mother or his father.
Dermot lived in the moment because the next second might be hell for him. His school was no different from home. He had no single person that he could call his friend.
He always tried to make his presence unknown whenever he was in school, but his bullies still noticed him no matter how hard he tried.
After paying for his lunch, he slowly carried his tray and walked to the dining hall. As soon as he was seated, four boys joined him. They were his bullies. He pretended not to see them and focused all his attention on his food.
"Dermot," Jeremy Andrew called.
Dermot hated his name but there was nothing he could do. His father intentionally gave him an ugly name and now he must live with it forever.
"Dermot," Jeremy called again.
Jeremy was the most handsome boy in their school. He was cruel and selfish. But apart from Jeremy's handsome face and good physique, there was nothing handsome about his actions toward others especially Dermot.
Dermot slowly looked up from his food. He was afraid Jeremy, and his friends would hit him. Jeremy smiled. Jeremy knew how scared Dermot was of him and he loved it.
"Continue eating," he said.
Dermot wondered what was going on, but he kept eating.
"Do you know who my latest chick is?" Jeremy asked while smirking.
Dermot just stared at Jeremy. He didn't know whether to answer the question.
"I'm asking you a question."
Dermot shook his head before replying slowly, "I don't know."
"It's that girl over there." Jeremy pointed at a table that was few meters away from them. Dermot looked at the table and saw six girls around it. He wondered who Jeremy's latest chick was.
"Do you know which one she is?" Jeremy asked.
Dermot started scanning the girl’s faces and when his eyes landed on Olivia, his heart beat faster, but he controlled himself. Jeremy must not know about what he felt for Olivia.
"I don't know who she is," Dermot replied, praying that it wasn't Olivia.
"It's Hanna. Hanna Howell."
Dermot relaxed.
"She is hot, right?" Jeremy asked.
Dermot nodded.
Jeremy smiled at him and sighed before saying, "Do you like any of the girls? They are the hottest right now."
Dermot shook his head.
"You don't?" Mark Evans, Jeremy’s closest pal said surprisingly. "Those girls are fucking hot. Last Friday during the party one of them was good to me," he said dreamingly. "It was great."
Dermot looked at the girls. He wondered who among the girls was the girl.
"Do you want to know who?" Mark said.
"No," Dermot said.
Jeremy patted Mark and said, "Spare him the details."
Mark nodded.
"There is another party tonight. Do you want to come?"
Dermot knew that there was no way he could go. His father wouldn't allow him, so he said no.
"The girls are coming."
Dermot looked over and saw Olivia smiling. His heart stopped beating for a second and he thought, "I wish you were mine. You wouldn't be my chick. You would be my love."
"You can have any one of them except for Hanna and Olivia. My eyes are on her," Jeremy said.
Dermot looked at Jeremy. He was angry at Jeremy, but his anger was not visible.
"Are you coming? I'm starting to like you," Jeremy said.
Dermot doubted Jeremy's last statement, but he said nothing "Are you coming?" Jeremy asked again.
"Yes I am," Dermot replied. If going to the party was going to give him a chance to be with Olivia, then he didn't care about going against his dad's rules.
"Who are you going to choose for the night?" Jeremy asked.
"I don't know. Maybe I’ll decide when I get there."
"Okay," Jeremy said and nodded. "Guys, let's go."
The four of them got up and left Dermot alone.

Olivia parked her wrecked car a few blocks away from the school and headed over.
She headed directly to the headmistress’ office while wondering what the old lady had to say.
"Miss Grimes, welcome. Have a seat," the headmistress said.
"Good morning. I hope I'm not late," Olivia said as she sat in one of the chairs.
"No. I called you here today because of Kylie's performance in school."
Olivia sighed heavily when she heard this. She knew what the headmistress was about to say.
"Kylie's performance is bad. Her grades are too low. We're really worried about her. I'm sorry, but I don't think she will be promoted to the next class."
Olivia felt like crying because she knew Kylie's low performance in school was her fault.
"Is there anything we can do…to help her?" she asked while trying not to cry.
The headmistress started cleaning her glasses.
"I don't know. The girl isn't happy. We don't know why. You might know why."
Of course, Olivia knew why, but it wasn't her fault.
"I don't know why," Olivia lied, "but I will try to help her. Maybe some extra classes will wake her up."
When Olivia left the headmistress's office, she promised to save her daughter's education by tutoring her herself.
Olivia drove her car to an auto shop, then took a taxi to her house.

"Mr. Scott," Miss Ciara called, "What do you have to say about Mr. Jackson's suggestion?"
When Jaime didn't reply, Miss Ciara called him again, "Mr. Scott?"
"Oh yes. Sorry. What are we talking about?"
"We're talking about the new policy, sir," Miss Ciara replied.
"And what about it?"
The managers were surprised. Jaime Scott was a man who took his job seriously.
Upon seeing everyone’s reaction, Jaime sighed and said, "This meeting is over. We will talk about it next time."
He rose to his feet and walked out of the conference hall.
As he headed toward his office, his personal assistant, Lucian Henry, walked hurriedly toward him. "Mr. Scott, you have another meeting with the staff in ten minutes.”
"Cancel it."
Lucian looked at Jaime, shocked, before saying, "Mr. Scott—"
"You heard what I said. Cancel it."
"Okay, sir. You have another meeting with—"
"Cancel all my meetings for today and meet me in my office ASAP."
"Okay sir."
Lucian rushed to his office to drop some files before rushing back to Jaime's office.
"I'm here sir," he said.
"Sit down."
Lucian sat and wondered what was troubling Jaime.
"I had an accident this morning," Jaime said.
"Oh my God!" Lucian gasped. "Boss, are you okay? How are you feeling now?"
"I'm fine. I'm okay. Thank you, but I'm not telling you because I want you to pity me or something. I'm telling you because I want you to help me find someone."
Lucian frowned. "Find someone?"
"The lady that I hit this morning look exactly like her, but she is not her," he said more to himself than to Lucian.
"Her?" Lucian said, confused.
"She looked like Olivia, but she said she was not her."
"And who is this Olivia that you're looking for?"
"A friend. Oh wait! Should I call her a friend? Maybe I should just say someone that I've met on few occasions."
"What do you know about her?"
"Her name is Olivia Grimes and she attended Dorton College."

When Olivia got to her apartment, she headed straight to her refrigerator and grabbed a cold beer. She walked slowly to the couch, opened her beer, and took a swig. She had a crazy headache from the accident.
"Motherfucker," she swore when everything that happened that morning came back to her. "You almost killed me," she added as she started crying.
She kept drinking until she couldn't get off the couch.

Eight Years Ago During the night, Dermot snuck out of the house and headed to the party at Jeremy’s house. He was desperate to see Olivia.
He wasn't expecting what he saw in Jeremy's house when he got there. The party was too wild, and in every dark corner a girl and guy were smooching.
Dermot tried not to listen to them, and he pretended not to see what was happening everywhere. He wanted to see Olivia. He walked into the house, where loud music was bumping out of the speakers.
Dermot scanned the girls on the dance floor, but none of them was Olivia. So, he climbed the stairs and searched for Olivia among the girls that were upstairs. Still no Olivia.
After searching for ten minutes, Dermot concluded that Olivia was not at the party, so he tried to have a few drinks before going home.
He collected a glass of wine from a girl that was pretending to be the waitress and found a hidden spot to sit.
"Jeremy said tonight," a girl that Dermot couldn't make out in the darkness said.
"You mean Olivia's precious virginity?" another girl asked and laughed.
Dermot stopped breathing from shock and tried to see the girl’s face, but he couldn't.
When Dermot came back to his senses, he gulped down his wine and got up angrily. He didn't care if he spent the rest of his life in prison. He had to deliver a message to Jeremy.
He took two more drinks from the girl that was pretending to be the waitress. He drank one instantly and screamed into the girl's ear, "Where is Jeremy's room?"
"What did you say?” the girl screamed back.
"Where is Jeremy's room?" He asked and drank the second glass.
"Upstairs. The second room on the right."
Without thanking the girl, Dermot headed upstairs. He opened the door and saw Jeremy rough handling Olivia. Dermot went crazy and had no idea what happened after that.
"Jeremy, stop," Olivia said while trying to push Jeremy away.
"Your cunt is mine tonight," Jeremy growled while trying to separate her legs.
"Stop!"
"I'm burying myself deep inside you tonight."
"I'm going to kill you!" someone growled.
Jeremy turned to look at who it was, but before he could get up, Dermot was already by the side of the bed. Dermot forcefully dragged Jeremy off the bed and threw him to the ground.
"I'm going to kill you," Dermot growled again and started punching Jeremy, who was in shock. Within a minute, Jeremy's face was full of blood, but Dermot still continued punching him.
Olivia jumped out of the bed and knew she had to do something before things got out of hand.
"Dermot!" she called, "Stop! Dermot, stop! You are going to kill him!" But Dermot kept punching Jeremy.
"DERMOT!" she screamed and tried to push him off Jeremy.
Dermot looked at her and saw her bruised cheeks. He became more infuriated and said, "He hit you!"
Olivia touched her cheeks and said, "Yes but it doesn't hurt at all."
"But he still hit you," he said and tried to punch an almost unconscious Jeremy.
"Stop!" Olivia shouted. "You are going to kill him."
"I don't care."
"I do!"
The madness that had descended on Dermot was hard to control, but he controlled himself. If Olivia said he should stop, he would stop.
He looked at his blood-stained hands and then looked at Olivia's face. She was everything to him.
"Are you okay?" he asked Olivia as he slowly stood up. This was the first time they had ever spoken.
"Yes," she replied slowly. "You need to clean your hands and we need to get out of here."
