Chapter One | The Luna's Omega

Deep in the valley, the new luna was being groomed by her omegas for the wedding. Being the last alpha female of the Red Wolf Pack, Isabella had no alternative but to agree to the lord's proposition to marry his son and the next alpha of the Red Wolf Pack.

The constant biting had reddened Isabella's lips, hinting at the possible breach in the blood vessels under her skin. She was continuously tapping the floor with her toes. She could not help getting impatient. The ominous twisted feeling in her gut was not going away. It should have been the happiest day in her life, considering the fact that she was going to be the new luna of the top wolf pack.

Her omegas placed a floral crown on her head. In the white gown and the light makeup, her pale skin was glowing like pearls. Her long black hair, soft like silk, was loosened and reaching her waist.

The Red Wolf Pack was known as the most aggressive and the mightiest pack. But paradoxically, the next alpha of the Red Wolf Pack was actually an omega. Even though Alpha Xavier had seven sons and six of them were alphas, the fifth prince was an omega. However, he was a rare omega born with a fully awakened wolf. And therefore, instead of the alphas, the moon spirits favored him as the next alpha.

Isabella was a noble from the knight family. Like her father, the right arm of the lord, Isabella wished to be a knight. However, since an alpha female was the only option for the pack to continue the alpha bloodline, Isabella had no other alternative but to accept her fate.

No one apart from the royal family had ever seen the fifth prince. Not even the maids serving in the alpha palace were permitted to attend the fifth prince. But there were numerous anecdotes about his appearance.

Some stated he had the most uncanny and monstrous appearance.

But whether he was hideous or not, Isabella was more concerned about the tales that included assumptions of how the Red Wolf Pack could be at the bottom of the kingdom.

The entire pack was concerned. The Red Wolf Pack had reigned over the kingdom for centuries. People began to believe that the omega prince would fail miserably in leading the mighty Red Wolf Pack.

The pack was not content with their new alpha. Nothing could be more humiliating than having an omega as the next alpha. The neighbor packs, and even their enemies, had started to make their move already.

Isabella's father entered the massive bedchamber. Isabella had lost her mother when she was born. Though her father never held her responsible for the loss of his mate, Isabella was always aware of the ice between them.

The omega maids bowed and left the room hastily, giving the father and daughter some space. Isabella was standing quietly, lowering her gaze. Her father had always been stern with her. She could not deny the fact that she was afraid of her father. She would always feel like the tiniest errors would make him despise her.

Gazing at Isabella's face, his heart ached. She was indeed beautiful, just like her mother. He was aware that Isabella had nothing to do with his mate's passing. Yet, he could not help treating his daughter coldly.

However, he felt an unusual warmth looking into his daughter's heavy eyes. Isabella was frustrated, unsure of her future. What a beautiful sight it could be if his daughter were marrying her fated mate with the happiest smile on that ethereal face. He was a father, after all. He could not help letting out the sigh.

He caressed her hair lightly. Isabella's lips quivered but did not make any sound. Indeed, she’d inherited her mother’s features, making it harder for her father.

"You will be fine, Isabella. I have faith in you," he said. Even though he wanted to say many things to his daughter, he could not find the appropriate words.

But Isabella's eyes were sparkling with tears. Her father was not aware how much she was longing for those kind words.

“I will be fine, Father," Isabella said calmly.

Two guards came to escort Isabella to the massive hall. Her heart was pounding, thinking about an unknown future.

''What if the man is exactly like the tales about him? Does he have those pheromones like the omegas? But the omega wolves suppress them regularly. But what if he smells odd like the rumors? Some maids say he is a disabled man," Isabella thought.

Everything about her future husband was swirling in her mind continuously. However, she was feeling an unusual warmth thinking about him.

Indeed, like the other wolves, she also wished to meet her mate and live happily ever after. Since she was an alpha, she had the privilege to take mates apart from her fated one. However, in the end, the rumored hideous omega prince was going to be her mate.

But she had made up her mind, whether he was disabled or had a monstrous appearance, Isabella would embrace him like her actual mate, and she would prove the entire pack wrong. She would not let the pack collapse.

She took the bouquet from her maids and entered the massive hall. The alpha lord and his alpha sons were already present. Isabella had noticed them in the training ground before. But she was not familiar with them.

Each of the princes was attractive beyond anyone's imagination. They were brothers, yet they had their unique elegance. In their royal tunics, they stole the attention of the entire hall.

When Isabella entered, she could hear the gasps from the crowd. Isabella was pretty known in the pack. But no one had seen her in such feminine attire before.

She also could hear the words of pity that the women were gossiping at that moment.

"Ah, what a pity! Being an alpha female and ending up getting married to a disabled omega. What rotten luck she has!" the wife of the lead beta was whispering.

"I am glad that my daughter is not an alpha. Now she can at least get married to one of the handsome alpha princes," another woman, who was a wife of a noble alpha, said.

They were pretty loud, making sure the words reached Isabella. Isabella was aware that most of the women were actually jealous of her since she was an alpha.

Even the alpha lord desired to marry one of his alpha sons to her before the moon spirits picked the next alpha. Isabella respectfully declined to be the luna at that time to pursue her aspiration to be a knight.

She was getting impatient. Shortly, one of the guards declared the entrance of the groom.

Everyone's attention hastily shifted towards the entrance of the hall room. The pack was beyond curious to meet their hideous new alpha. Isabella suddenly stiffened.

She could hear the gasps and the unexpected noises from the guests. The entire hall room seemed as if struck by lightning. Even the oracle in front of her was staring towards the direction with a jaw-dropped expression.

She did not want to take a glance at her groom. Perhaps, he was even more hideous than the tales. She exhaled deeply. She was preparing herself inside to accept whatever was befalling her.

Suddenly, a fruity fragrance reached her olfactory system. It was odd that she was here for quite a long time, and none of the guests had worn such delightful perfume.

Her groom finally arrived beside her in his assigned place. The delightful fruity fragrance got stronger. Isabella's heart was about to escape her ribcage for some unknown reason. She slowly turned to her side to meet the surrealist pair of eyes.

There was no person with an uncanny monstrous appearance. Blond hair was glowing like gold, slightly longer, touching his pale, slender neck. His gorgeous pair of eyes were sharp as a knife, cutting deep into her soul. The man was tall.

An omega-like softness was present in his body, yet masculinity was there in the prominent Adam's apple and the veins in his arms.

His beauty was pure, ethereal, even more than the women considered as the prettiest of the pack. Isabella could not proceed for a moment; she was so struck by his appearance.

She could not believe the man in front of her was going to turn into her soulmate for life. But the man with the unearthly beauty was not looking happy with the marriage at all.

Isabella saw the unusual emotions in his eyes. His eyes were telling her that he despised her. She did not do anything wrong. So why?

The entire pack was caught off-guard by his mesmerizing charms. But his beauty only fueled the anger of the wolves.

"Just because he is beautiful does not imply he is strong. A man with such softness in his fingertips probably never raised a weapon or shifted his claws. He can never fit as an alpha for a mighty pack like ours," the noble alphas said, starting to judge his abilities by his looks.

But Isabella's heart was not calming down. How was this mysterious man underneath it all? He did not have any hideous appearance. Then why did he hide from the pack all these years?

Chapter Two | The Luna's Omega

"I hate the alphas," the first thing that Isabella's groom said to her while exchanging the bouquets.

He uttered the words in a tiny voice. However, Isabella heard every bit of it. Isabella did not even know the name of her husband. And here, she was already on the edge of getting rejected.

In the massive suite of the alpha palace, the maids were grooming Isabella for her first night. In the lukewarm water of the pool, Isabella let her muscles relax.

Her spontaneous deep sighs were not going unnoticed by her maids. One of the maids started rubbing her neck gently.

"Luna," she called Isabella calmly.

"Speak," Isabella ordered softly. "You don't have to ask for my permission when we are in private," she said.

"It must be hard for you, Luna," she said fearfully in a tiny voice.

"What do you mean?" Isabella was startled. She thought her maids were aware of the incident during the bouquet exchange. “Did everyone notice that?” she thought, getting nervous.

"Luna, you are accepting the devil omega even before meeting your fated mate. You are so brave! However, it must be tough for you emotionally. I cannot even think of leaving my mate," she said. Glancing at Isabella, lost in thought, she got nervous and hastily added, "Pardon me, Luna. I mean, you are indeed not a weak omega like me. But you are a woman, after all. It must be tough for an alpha female to accept someone like him."

"Someone like him? Someone like what? What are you implying?" Isabella turned to her maid and asked, frowning. She did not like her maid's remarks about her husband.

"P-pardon, Luna. But I was only trying to say that the omega prince is known as the devil omega. With his devilish charms, he can possess anyone. People say that is how he misguided the moon spirits. Also, he has given his heart to someone already," she gasped and completed the sentence hastily.

Isabella frowned at the disturbing remarks. There were already numerous unpleasant stories about her husband. She was not willing to listen any more of it.

"My apologies, Luna. I crossed the line," the maid promptly got up and bowed nervously.

Isabella sighed. She got up from the water. Two of her maids came forward hastily to change her into dry clothes. The candles of several colors burning slowly, spreading the sweet aroma through the entire suite and creating a mystic atmosphere. Orchids were hanging from the ceiling. Lilacs and tulips were everywhere surrounding the room.

Isabella was in the middle. The maids tightened her corset under the dark blue gown. They finished it by placing the floral crown on her messy bun.

"You are looking ethereal, Luna," one of the maids said. The maids were gazing at her, getting mesmerized. A slight blush appeared in her cheeks. Isabella was not accustomed to such remarks.

While leaving the suite, Isabella turned to the maid and said calmly, "Do not speak ill about the omega prince when you have not observed anything by your own eyes yet."

The knot returned in her guts, again, when Isabella was crossing the corridor. She had never felt such uncertainty even when she was training to become a knight.

She stopped in front of the massive door. She took a deep breath and knocked. She saw that the door was open.

Her escorting guards bowed and left. She gently opened the door and stepped inside the room.

The room seemed empty. There was not much light inside the room. Like the suite, the massive bedchamber was also decorated with candles of different shapes and colors.

From the gorgeous, embroidered bedsheet on the king-sized bed to the white curtains, everything was looking cozy. The fireplace in the corner was burning, being the largest source of light for the room. Dried flowers were encircling the furniture. Orchids and different plants were hanging on the wall. Enchanting, massive oil paintings were hanging on the walls.

The Victorian lamps were on. However, the dim yellow light was making the room look more surreal.

Someone in the corner of the room placed the floral teacups on the round tea table. Isabella was startled by the sudden presence. She hastily turned back to come face-to-face with a man she had never met before.

The man was in a suit, a bow tie on his neck and a white shirt under a black surcoat. He was tall. His slender body had the appropriate amount of muscles that were visible even under his suit. His soft black hair was shining in the moonlight coming from the massive open window.

He stared at her with the most exotic pair of eyes. “What was this man doing here in the private chamber of the Alpha Prince?” Isabella wondered.

"Who are you?'' Isabella asked sharply, frowning.

The man bowed gracefully. "Welcome to the palace, Luna. My earnest apologies for not being able to welcome you earlier." The man had quite an attractive voice.

He straightened himself from the bow and elegantly removed the gloves from his hands. His gesture seemed unnecessarily dramatic to Isabella. Isabella was observing his every movement quietly, frowning. She was not able to relax around him.

"Let me introduce myself, Luna. I am the butler of the fifth prince. I have been serving him since he was just a child. I really wanted to welcome you. But it infuriates the prince if his shower is not prepared after he returns from outside," he said, smiling. Dimples appeared on both of his cheeks.

He was pretty. The man did not look much older than the prince. “How did he serve the prince when he was young?” Isabella wondered. Perhaps they were friends. It only enhanced the uncomfortableness inside Isabella's chest.

The man abruptly took steps forward. Isabella backed away rapidly out of reflex. But the man kept coming towards her. He suddenly seized Isabella's hands and placed a flower on the bracelet. He then gently placed a kiss on her hand.

Isabella's muscles stiffened by his unpredicted action.

"Constantine," a soft male voice interrupted. The butler hastily let Isabella's hands go.

He bowed to the owner of the voice gracefully. Isabella turned gradually.

Her husband was standing there in his night robe. Water was dripping from his wet blond hair. The upper part of his robe was wide open, exposing his honey-smooth, broad chest. He was towering over her. Isabella raised her gaze, and their eyes met. Isabella felt her ears getting hot.

"Master Ashlyn, you are going to catch a cold like this," Constantine said and hastily took the towel and went to Ashlyn, the omega prince. "My apologies, Master. I was late to attend to you after the bath since Luna came here earlier than expected," he said while gently drying Ashlyn's hair with the towel. They were the same height, so it was not difficult for the butler. But if Isabella were to perform that someday, it would be an embarrassment for her.

"Why are you here?" Ashlyn asked Isabella calmly.

Isabella was surprised for a moment by such a question. But she was groomed her entire life to maintain her cool.

She said calmly in a tiny voice, "Perhaps you have a poor memory, but we got married earlier tonight."

Constantine was still drying his soft hair. Isabella took a glance at how comfortable the Prince was with him.

"Constantine, you may take your leave now. I will take care of the rest," he said.

Isabella attempted to take the towel. But Ashlyn grabbed her wrist around the middle, preventing her. Isabella stared at him, confused.

"This is the sole reason why I despise the alphas," he said. His expression hardened. "You alphas believe you can control and own me just because I am an omega."

Isabella remembered what he said to her earlier that night. He could not be serious about rejecting her. Isabella was an alpha. Hence, it would not cause any harm to her. But even if Ashlyn owned an awakened wolf, there was no way an omega wolf would survive rejecting his mate. As Isabella was an alpha, she had the privilege to mark the other wolves lower than alphas as hers.

And once a wolf lower than an alpha got accepted by an alpha wolf, their first bond with their mate would sever. And their mates would get the privilege to choose their new mate as well or would remain mateless forever. However, if the alpha's chosen wolf were an omega, it would not survive without its alpha.

"Constantine, take the girl to her bedchamber," Ashlyn ordered his butler coldly, drawing Isabella out of her thoughts.

"What?" Isabella was startled by his words. "But if we spend the night separately, it will stir controversy, Prince," Isabella said, getting worried.

A smirk appeared on Ashlyn's face. "So you want to spend the night together?" he asked.
