Synopsis

Giselle, a girl abandoned by the Avalon family, found herself neither loved nor favored. Yet, Jason Smith, the heir of the Smith family in Sanwell, cherished her like a precious pearl. With his reputation for being ruthless, nobody dared to mess with them. To everyone's astonishment, he introduced Giselle as his fiancée, depicting her as a loving and refined young woman. This left everyone stunned, questioning Jason’s interpretation of “refined”. Jason defended, saying, "She deeply respects elders, loves children immensely, and possesses genuine kindness." Nonetheless, the Smith family encountered turmoil when various troubles arrived... “Sir! The Fragrance Association is chasing after Madame, claiming that she has created an unparalleled fragrance...” “Sir! The Medical Association is also vying for Madame, claiming that she is a hidden medical prodigy...” “Sir! The Assassin's Alliance has also sent someone, claiming that Madame is harboring their leader...” This sparked Jason's fury! He could make sense of everything else, but the involvement of the Assassin’s Alliance is beyond his belief...

Chapter 1 Sir, Can You Save Me? | The Spoiled Wife of the Young Commander

As rainwater filled his military boots, he's treading on the ground. Each step, like a drumbeat, resonated within her heart.

It has been half a month since Giselle Avalon was trapped in this silent place.

She lifted her dark eyes, looking at the damp ceiling, listening to the various noises outside. Then her cracked lips finally curved to a smile as she saw the sunlight for the first time.

Someone who she had been waiting for finally came here!

Tap, tap! Her slender fingers urgently tapped on the wall.

Three long and three short taps, it was the Morse code signal for help.

Meanwhile, on the ground ...

A rescue mission for women and children was nearing its end.

The site cleared, nothing left behind. Red Fox team requests withdrawal.

Withdrawal approved! The man with black eyes looked up at the sky and replied in a deep voice.

Dressed in all black, he's neat and tidy, with long legs encased in rain-soaked black trousers, the ends of which were tied tightly around the military boots.

The whole person appeared wild, fierce, and unbelievably handsome.

With a fervent passion running deep in his bones, Jason Smith shifted his sights from the night sky and he was about to withdraw. Suddenly, his expression turned serious and he took off his earphones.

After a moment ...

With a flashlight on, Jason bent down and walked into the cave.

The cover of the basement was lifted and rainwater poured in with the sound of the wind.

The place was so small that only one person could pass through. The air inside was not circulating well either, filled with a moldy smell that made it uncomfortable to stay.

There was no light inside either. When the flashlight shone, Jason saw a little girl bound by iron chains like a small beast ... so thin and frail, with disheveled hair and pale lips tightly pressed together. When she looked over, her dark eyes were cold and deep, like a wild beast, somewhat untamed.

But suddenly, this wildness faded. When taking a closer look, her eyes were as black as ink jade, pure and clear like crystal.

As she had not seen light for a long time, her eyes felt uncomfortable for a moment, but soon widened ... and then, she softly gave him a smile, and asked with her hoarse and submissive voice, "Sir... are you here to rescue me?"

Jason was too stunned to speak.

Suddenly, he felt a dull ache, as if struck by a heavy object, very uncomfortable.

Why was such a young girl treated like this?

Jason approached her with the flashlight in his hand, and softened his voice as much as possible and asked, "Were you also kidnapped? What is your name?"

Giselle Avalon. The little girl replied softly with expectation for survival in her eyes, and asked, "Sir, are you a policeman?"

Jason said, "No."

The light in the little girl's eyes dimmed a little, but quickly brightened again. She asked with her expectations, "But, you've come here ... can you save me?"

Jason saw a glimmer in her eyes.

This light was the yearning for life, the thirst for freedom ... and Jason was her light, the only light to rescue her from this horrible place.

Yes, of course Jason brushed away the dull pain in his heart and said firmly. He reached out and pulled the iron chain around her waist, "I don't have the key, so I can't open it ... but I have a gun. Giselle, you are brave, right? I will use the gun to break it, so you don't need to be afraid."

The little girl obediently nodded, "I'm not afraid."

"Great! I'm proud of you." Jason immediately praised her. He didn't mind her dirtiness, reached out and protected her dirty and messy little head in his arms, covered her ears with one hand, and whispered, "Don't be afraid."

Bang!

With a gunshot sounded the iron chain was broken in half. Jason immediately removed the chain from her waist. The girl swayed as she stood up and then she suddenly pounced into his arms, and said with soft voice, "Sir, I'm out of strength ..."

Chapter 2 Can't Live Without You | The Spoiled Wife of the Young Commander

Ten minutes later, everyone looked at each other, not knowing what to say.

After a while, Sam said with a gloomy face, "Really? Jason, are you really want to take this girl back to the team?"

Jason looked over with his slightly cold gaze "She has nowhere else to go."

But, our team ...

“I have the final say.” Jason interrupted and looked at the little girl who had been grabbing his clothes for a long time. Jason then whispered, "Giselle, would you like to stay with me until we find your family?"

This little girl was very well-behaved and her pair of eyes were so bright. She also trusts Jason very much. "Whatever happens, I'll go with you."

Jason was surprised.

It was this trust that made it impossible for Jason to let Giselle go.

Sam was speechless.

He also felt shocked. "Wait, are the little girls nowadays all that bold?"

Jason Smith was known so formidable that even the King of Hell would steer clear. Yet, this recently rescued girl, instead of fear, wants to go with him?

Also the most crucial thing was that Jason actually agreed.

Sam's jaw almost dropped in disbelief. It must be because of his own approach. How could Jason have such a soft side?

The night sky shrouded in pouring rain. They had come as a whole team of people, and on the way back, there was an additional little girl, Giselle who willingly followed Jason.

As for the criminals who were dealt a blow and all the rescued women and children, they were taken away by another car and properly handled and resettled.

“Hey, little girl, why are you following Jason? Jason is a young man and he doesn't know how to take care of a child”, Sam laughed as they got on the car. This mission was completed beautifully and everyone in the Red Fox team was in a good mood, especially Sam, who was the most cheerful.

Sony nudged Sam with his elbow. "Watch your mouth. If Jason gets angry, he'll make you clean the toilet, let's see whether you are still impudent?"

“Umm, I'm just trying to play a joke since I have nothing else to do”, Sam muttered, but he didn't say anything more.

Jason looked over them with a chilly warning.

Because of the rain, Giselle's clothes were also wet and she hadn't changed yet. She held a bottle of mineral water and a bread roll, eating them piece by piece. When she heard Sam's words, she looked up and said softly, "I'm eighteen, not a little girl anymore."

What ... eighteen?

Despite her petite figure, she called herself eighteen?

Sam was shocked and everyone in the car looked at her in disbelief. Jason also glanced over, clearly not expecting this small girl to be eighteen years old.

“Yes, it's my birthday today. It is past seven o'clock now. I'm officially eighteen”, The little girl said calmly, facing the scrutiny of so many eyes, without any discomfort. She continued eating her food and drinking the mineral water.

If she wasn't genuinely innocent, then she had a bit of a bossy style... Quite calm and formidable.

Sam was speechless.

He didn't want to say anything anymore!

How could this poor Giselle ... look like a little girl at eighteen?

“That mineral water is cold, don't drink too much,” Jason spoke up, looking at his watch, "We're ten minutes away from the camp, where we can have meals."

As the captain of the Red Fox team, Jason was used to giving orders, but he didn't know how to comfort others appropriately.

But facing this disheveled eighteen-year-old girl, he unexpectedly softened for a moment. "Also, your clothes are all wet and can't be worn anymore. Go take a shower when we get to the camp."

After some time, Jason looked at her messy hair. "Also, go get a haircut."

The little girl immediately put down the mineral water and obediently nodded. "Okay, Sir, I’m all yours."

This shocked everyone in the team once again, especially Sam, feeling terribly uneasy. He coughed and lowly said, "Jason, this ... doesn't seem appropriate, right?"

They were all rough men, and it wasn't convenient for a little girl to be with them like this.

Furthermore, despite Jason’s remarkable presence as an “all-around man”, at the age of twenty-six, he had no experience in raising a daughter.

“Shut up,” Jason glanced at him and handed a tissue to Giselle. "Wipe yourself."

Giselle obediently nodded. "Thank you, Sir."

Unable to bear it any longer, Sam was mouthy again, and then spoke up, "Hey, eighteen-years-old little girl, can I ask how were you locked up?"

How ... locked up?

Giselle lowered her head, with a glimmer of extreme coldness flashed in her pitch-black eyes.

Betrayal, drugging, trafficking!

If those damn bastards didn't inject her with drugs every day ... she wouldn't have survived these past two weeks in such difficult circumstances.

Also her parents ... they were all impressive!

She guarded against everyone but ignored her own relatives.

Taking a deep breath, and another one, Giselle pushed down the anger in her heart. She tugged at her sleeves, after thinking for a moment, she said earnestly, "I don't remember."

Sam was speechless.

Ah!

No way ... Look at you! It doesn't seem like you don't remember though.

Just as he was about to ask again, Jason looked at a spot not far ahead and said, "We've arrived. Get off the car."
