Chapter 1 — Mystery | Vampire's Love

The night weather wasn’t bright, nor was it calm. Heavy rain poured down. Lightning flashed and thunder roared. There was an unsteady wind that blew across the land interrupting the spooky sounds of the woods. The wind kept blowing the leaves of the trees and the birds had gone into hiding due to the heavy rain. Scott Mann was relaxing with his girlfriend, Lydo, on New Year’s Eve in a log cabin in the woods. He was one of the best deputies working for the sheriff’s department in Bailey County, Texas. Lydo’s apple body figure sat well on her wafer-thin body. She was every man dream woman, and she had good taste too.

When she broke into a smile, she displayed her shiny, white teeth. She had a gap in her teeth, which made her smile fancier and desirable to look at. Her pink lips often tasted like strawberry. More than anything else, Scott desired more of her kiss. She always whispered to him in a soothing voice. She had just had an orgasm. He hadn’t. He was still rock hard. He kissed her.

“I love you,” he said.

“I love you too. I feel safe with you, especially in your arms,” said Lydo.

“I feel so safe with you too,” Scott told her. “You and I have become one. I like that. You are the only person I want and desire. All your sweetness and your smile,” Scott said and then kissed her.

“I love you too. You are so charming,” Lydo told him with a smile. “What did you eat tonight?” Lydo asked sternly.

He smiled and said, “To me, having you around is enough dinner for me. I only desire you and will always desire you. Staying around you is so sacred and special to me.”

On hearing this, Lydo said, “I will always be around you.” Scott raised his head to look at her. “I will always be with you. Your words are so dear to me. I love how you view me and love me. I will always be in your arms and grow old together,” she said.

Scott brought his lips close to her forehead and kissed her with both hands gently grabbing her. “You will always have me and we shall grow old together.”

Not long after, as they relaxed on the bed, smiling and staring at each other, they heard a cry for help outside the log cabin. It was already late in the night as a pale crescent moon shone like a silvery claw in the night sky. Scott wanted to dismiss the incident as if he heard nothing, but the scream came again and again.

“Help me! Please…someone help me!”

He quickly jumped up from the bed. Whoever was out there needed help. The voice that called for help was a female voice. For this reason, Lydo didn’t like the idea of her boyfriend going out in the dark to play a hero.

“What are you doing?”

“I can’t just ignore the person out there. I need to help. It’s my job as a deputy.”

Scott slid his feet into his boots quickly, picked up a flashlight and headed straight to the door. He quickly pulled the door toward him to open it as he stepped outside.

The voice never ceased calling for help. He quickly shut the door behind him as he turned on his flashlight. Following the voice, Scott walked straight towards the east woods where he believed the screams were coming from.

"Oh shit!" he exclaimed when he saw a beautiful lady. Her skin was glossy, and she had red hair with a perfectly shaped figure, but she was stuck in a sinking muddy swamp. She had pencil-thin eyebrows that eased down gently to her eyelashes with a pointed nose. Her red hair tumbled over her shoulder. No one could resist her honey-sweet lips. Scott couldn’t resist either as he stared keenly at her lilac soft lips. She struggled to get out of the mud. Her wasp-waist was covered with mud. She was sinking and needed help to be drawn out. Scott was carried away for a few moments as he gazed at her glossy skin and wondered what a pretty lady like her was doing out here at this odd hour all by herself.

"Help me, please," said the lady with a soothing voice as she fixed her eyes on Scott for help while she struggled with the sinking mud.

Scott became aware of the danger, and if he did nothing, she would eventually go down into the swamp and never be seen again. He pulled a tree branch and stretched it towards the lady to pull her out. "Hold onto this firmly. I will pull you out with it,” he said.

As the lady grabbed the tree branch, it slipped from her hand. She was already covered in mud except for her shoulder and head.

"Oh, oh!" Scott exclaimed on seeing this. Scott thought of another way to save the lady and it occurred to him that the only way out was to pull her out was without a tree branch as the lady was almost gone. He reached out his hand, grabbing her by her hand. Scott also held one of the tree branches as he started pulling the lady out. Helping the lady out from the muddy swamp, Scott stared with concern.

He was a nice deputy and all his life he has desired to help people, which is why he joined the force.

"Are you alright?"

"Thanks for your help."

“What in the hell are you doing here at this odd hour?”

“I was being chased,” she replied.

“Chased by whom?”

The lady dragged herself up. Her feet weren’t stable. She teetered towards an oak tree and then turned toward Scott. “Do you believe in gods or supernatural creatures?” she asked.

On hearing this, Scott became spellbound and was unsure what he believed in. He had never believed in anything supernatural. All his life, his father had brought him up an atheist and as a deputy, he had never encountered any supernatural creature.

Seeing that Scott wasn’t speaking, the lady fixed her eyes on him and then grinned. “Whether you believe in them or not, they believe in you, and they are all coming to wreak havoc,” she said and then disappeared into a cloud of thick, black smoke.

Chapter 2 — Creatures of the Dark | Vampire's Love

“What the hell?”

Scott fell to the ground on his butt. His eyes seem to have deceived him. Or perhaps, he was dreaming. What he saw wasn’t real. It couldn’t be real. He slowly dragged himself to his feet. Suddenly, he heard footsteps approaching and without hesitation, he turned to see who it was.

“Where the hell have you been? I have been looking for you.”

Lydo made her way to him. She was not happy that Scott left her to play a hero. She wanted him all to herself.

“I thought I was dreaming?”

“Dreaming about what?”

“I just saved a lady from that muddy swamp, and puff, she’s gone!” He demonstrated with his hands.

“You must be hallucinating. Please come back to the cabin with me. It’s not safe out here.”

“I know what I saw.”

“No, you were hallucinating.”

“That’s not fucking true.”

Lydo gently grabbed him and crossed her arms around his neck. “Perhaps I know what you need now.”

“What would that be?”

“You need a bed.” She smiled. “It will help you relax your nerves.”

“That will still not change what I saw. It’s not safe here; we should head back to the cabin now.”

Slamming open the cabin door, Scott quickly made his way to the bed without saying a word. He relaxed his back on the bed with his arms folded.

“Hello, guys!” said a prudish voice.

“What the hell?” Scott exclaimed as he turned to see who it was. “Fuck me!” he exclaimed when he saw the lady he saved from the swamp.

Lydo flicked around. “Who the hell is this bitch?” she asked.

“I am the bitch that will save you if you let me.” The lady started approaching the bed.

Scott had no clue what to do. For a second, he thought, and then decided to act like the deputy he was. He quickly reached for his Beretta pointed it at the lady. “Don’t move or I’ll blow your fucking brains out!” he yelled.

The mysterious lady moved one and half times faster than the theoretical maximum for human speed. She moved faster than the eye could see and lifted Scott above the bed.

“What the hell?” Lydo exclaimed.

Throughout her entire life, she had never seen anyone move at that speed. She was filled with curiosity and terrified as well.

The mysterious lady stared at Scott and then grinned. “I’m sorry I have to ruin your night!”

“Who in the hell are you?”

Scott’s words were barely heard as a result of being held by the throat, but the mysterious lady was able to hear him clearly due to some special hearing ability she possessed.

“I’m the one that doesn’t want her to find you!”

“What the hell are you talking about?”

Scott attempted to raise his Beretta to shoot her, but she knocked the gun out of his hand, then released her grip on him and pushed him to the ground.

Lydo was terrified and wanted this nightmare to end. But the nightmare had only just began. The mysterious lady revealed fangs and red eyes that were fixed on Lydo. “What are you?” she asked and swallowed a lump in her throat.

“He can’t be found. I will make sure of that!”

The mysterious lady moved so fast. She grabbed Lydo and sank her fangs into her chest, aiming for the aorta, which carried blood out of the heart and was the largest blood vessel.

“No!” Scott let out a loud cry and went for his Beretta.

Before he could grab the Beretta, the mysterious lady slammed him through the wooden walls of the log cabin. She then approached him and held him to the ground. With filthy claws that popped out from her fingers, she pierced Scott’s heart.

Scott’s eyes gleamed with horror as the morning became night and closed in on him forever and his limbs went limp.
